Did you know that Bobby started out with The Sheik (Ed Fahat, uncle of Sabu) as his mentor? Heenan would often drive around The Sheik or help wash his car before officially breaking into the world of pro wrestling.

Bobby is one of the absolute best talkers and story tellers...maybe the best overall in the wrestling business. For sure not another wrestler, manager, color man...etc better than him before or since
I can listen to him for hours and I loved how he protected the business just about to the end.

The Sheik ( Eddy Farhat) was the greatest heel ever. His nephew is Sabu. Grew up just 15 minutes from where he lived.

The Sheik was a great businessman and protective of His gimmick to the extent of throwing fire at autograph seekers.My Dad and I would make monthly visits to Cobo Hall to see Him vs. the likes of Lewin and Abby.His appearance at the Great American Bash in Detroit in the late 80s was supposed to be followed by another,but He asked for too much money.
Jack Adkisson was given the Fritz Von Erich name to capitalize on World War 2 anti German sentiment.
Flair and Michaels stole the fake heart attack angle from Fritz,whose wife Doris left Him,as She blamed Him for the deaths of their sons.
It's rumored that Tommy Rich was given the NWA belt for doing sexual favors for Barnett,but one can only speculate on that.

Everyone wants to list who was the all time best, was it Hogan? Was it Flair? What people seem to forget is without Heenan neither one of their careers would be what they were. In addition, his greatest work was in the AWA with Bockwinkle, Ray Stevens, and the feuds with Greg and Verne Gagne. The Heenan Family dates back 20 years before the WWF run. Bobby was a good worker as well. His ability to get the crimson mask is one of the all time best.
Did Bobby Heenan knew or heard about the "Ring Boy" scandal?
I guess his brain (no pun) avoided the subject or, as Bobby said, all he wanted to do is do his job and avoided the wrestling scandals.

idk in the movie they kind of painted fritz in that movie with zac efron kind of bad in the ending was i the only one who notice that just being hard on his kids in general maybe

This was very disappointing. Nobody cared about the homosexual abuse to other talent or ring boys. They wanted their money and wanted to go home. Nobody spoke up until their run was over. Like the Billy Graham’s Bruno Sammartinos… until they got inducted into the Hall of Fame. For all of the fans (I use to be one) none of these people cared or appreciated you, you were just a mark. A easily fooled stooge. Who they milked every last dollar from. Don’t believe me? Go to anywhere they are doing autograph signings and they are charging you for it or charging you to take a picture with them. Not grateful you remember them or thought so highly of them.
They don’t even think much of each other. DDP said only a couple of people showed up to Mean Genes funeral. Yet WWE had Hulk Hogan come out and cut an old school promo. Used his death for a few bucks and ratings. Wrestling isn’t wrestling anymore it’s a live soap opera.
It was always a work, man.

a worked sport and a soap opera are not the same thing, but I wouldn't expect the tapoles in these comments to understand that.
None of these guys cared about each other. Even Bobby admits in this shoot that only two or three people came up to him the day he left WWE to thank him during that show where Gorilla tossed him out.
