I always wondered why large dogs usually drink out of the toilet. When asking the vet she said well for dogs it must seem fresher and more appealing as the water gets flushed frequently. I noticed and wondered would it be better for larger bread dogs to eat out of a raised bowl like a toilet because the dog doesn’t have to bend down like you have mentioned especially on older dogs and they aren’t laying down or bending down so far to eat.
