I faintly remembered playing this game as a child and hating it, and so I clicked on this video expecting to see two fellas ripping it apart.
What I did not expect to happen was for an oddly disproportionate amount of the video to be an autopsy of a review that I wrote on gamespot when I was 11 years old.
I feel honoured.

Thanks for making nights a little less depressing before bed. A lot of people fall asleep to tv (phone, tablet, whatever) and it's because these things bring us some sort of comfort. I generally hate the night and this channel is one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dark time.

The irony of Peter reading out brownsnake01's review as "No detail or thought was put into the game, only sheer blindness!" when the guy *(OR GIRL)* actually wrote "blandness"... 😋
I’ve never had much exposure to Lassie beyond seeing reruns of the old TV series as a kid, but at some point I learned she was played by a male Border Collie named Pal in the original films. What’s funny about that is there’s a 1950s Western called The Painted Hills that stars Pal as a dog named Shep, but even though it wasn’t part of the official Lassie franchise he was still billed as “Lassie” in the credits. So it featured Pal (a male) as “Lassie” (a female) playing Shep (a male). That dog must’ve been so confused.
The Suomi KP 31 was a submachine gun of Finnish design and is now the reason why I can't defend a control point in Battlefield 5

Long-time fan of WGE. Happy #69 I think this video in particular would have been hilarious with some more editing/post-com. Eg when reading the story Ben read bitter as bidder like the blast voice. Honestly thought this was hilarious but it went underappreciated because there's so much going on and chatter to keep the live format entertaining and from going dead. It took 12 mins or so to get into the gameplay. Which is fine, I love hearing you guys ramble and reverse engineer puns but just for newer viewers I feel it'd be more accessible to have a post-com format as that's what I see doing well and it's what I enjoy most on YT. (Dunkey, Austin Eruption, JaredTheGamingDragon, Completionist) Maybe have this Live format of WGE exclusive to patreon or post it after the edited one. You could splice in funny live reactions and give yourselves more time to come up with funny quips.

The old Panini sticker albums taught me the likes of Suomi and Hrvatska, in particular the albums put out for Euro 2000/2004 which noted the language/country in their language.

I'm sure it's already been answered, but Finnish is not related to English in any way. It's from a completely different family of languages. "Finska" is Finnish in Swedish, and there's a small Swedish speaking population in Finland, so maybe that's where the confusion comes from.
What they meant was the names for european languages in english are usually based on the name in the language itself, but Suomi is one of the exceptions

Unlike most European languages, Finnish actually does not have Indo-European roots and is therefore harder for a speaker of of Indo-European languages to learn and understand.
No game that uses the Oxford comma can be terrible.

The comment they had about the dog being "massive" because of the size relative to the tire tracks.... This is from the 1940's, which back then cars had much more narrow wheelbases. Cars these days are wider than they used to be.
