- Remember that show Xzibit had on MTV over a decade ago? Well they hit up one of the worst developers of all time to create a tie-in game, and OH BOY they did not disappoint. By which we mean they did. They really disappointed. Big time.

apparently it IS true that the show would take back certain things they installed AND never bothered to fix the car's mechanical issues some of them had. People would get their cars Pimped and they'd brake down the next day
So it's true that the show was a lie after all? And Xzibit just went along with that; or was he the one who orchestrated that; or were the "people" who "needed" their rides fixed; were actors or something? Because I knew that the show was bullshit(not this show by Vidiots; but Pimp my Ride); because I always KNEW that PMR was crap to begin with; and never liked it anyways. I knew it was a complete and total lie. Instead of ACTUALLY fixing things; they just made it look like they fixed things; and just immediately took it all back. So; did the people actually get their cars fixed; or were even they in on it too? Or were the people at least real; and not paid actors or something?
thats true that Pimp my Ride the tv program was complete bull shit, the people in the program didnt live in the house shown on tv, the cars were very badly modified with most owners selling them after as they were so unreliable, many complained to MTV as the expensive modifications such as DVD screens and fridges etc were all removed after filming

I remember one of the mechanics saying later that some of the cars were complete death traps because while they had given the car a visual makeover they were under strict instructions not to touch any of the mechanical issues. They never did driving shots because the insurance wouldn't cover them driving cars with known dangerous problems and all the participants had to sign a whole bunch of waivers agreeing that the car wasn't roadworthy before they could get their cars back

The show would put all these crazy things in the cars but not mechanically fix the cars. So they would be sent off with bad engines and brakes etc but 6 monitors and a bar in the trunk etc
Add some weight to the already crappy brakes sounds safe

Sethro144 I did, and found it to be an underdog contender for the absolute saddest thing about Pimp City.
Imagine just going on a vacation to Pimp City, and some ruthless fashion designer runs up on you and starts Salsa Dancing!
And if you refuse she'll say a least let's have a drink next thing you know you're feeling relaxed and dazed because she drugged your drink and she forces you onto the dance floor to dance salsa

Science fact: Pimp My Ride is not the worst game to use that font in its logo. It does, however come a close second, just behind mobile game candy crush saga.

herrikudo If you count the 7 Worst Games Ever episodes (one of which I have seen) from their time on WhatCulture, there are 18 episodes of this show. That's not a lot but they make up for it by being quite lengthy.

I'm not 100 percent sure but I have seen people who went on the show that they did take some of the stuff off the car and that any fixes they did were purely cosmetic and sometimes the car ran worse than when they gave it to them

Xzibit was in my town once for filming Extreme Home Makeover and came into where I worked to get some items sadly he was not as jovial as he appears on screen I also heard the same from a child who took part in an appearance by him as well

Ah, Eutechnyx. Half their games are somewhat abysmal and belong on Worst Games Ever. The other half are decidedly mediocre. At least I enjoyed two of their games (Total Drivin and Max Power Racing, though part of that might be because of the soundtracks of those games)...

Yep. Max Power Racing had a similar soundtrack (in my opinion it was even more catchy, but unfortunately also a bit shorter). Most of the music comes from some pretty overlooked techno artists like Pink Bomb.

In our juvenile court judges have at times halted trials and ordered kids sent home to change and admonished parents for allowing their kid to wear colors to trial. In our adult court the bailiff was going to refuse admittance to a man he knew was wearing his colors to court so the guy ripped his shirt off and walked into the court room bare chested and sat in the front row. The judge became furious and the man was escorted out by officers. The game was trying to be "street".

I never knew this game existed. I bought my first PS1 for $650 when I was 19 and soon as the PS2 came out, got it. Reverse compatible PS3, soon as it came out. Now I'm playing a PS3 slim 500 and I won't upgrade until it breaks.

PMR was a glorified ad, they barely fixed any of the issue and the cars usually broke down shortly after the episode.

No; that's exclusively a PBG thing; ONLY. But if they did; I wouldn't mind. If they did it as well as PBG did; or if they did a crossover/contest with PBG over who could Ghost Ride the Whip; but better; I'd watch it. Especially because Peebs hasn't lost his touch over the many years he's been on CZcams. And neither have Ben and Peter; but I didn't know they were on (Name Redacted; with Name Redunded). Because I've never even heard of them before they did Triple Jump. Which is better than this; but both Vidiots and Triple Jump have charm to them. And PBG is obviously the best channel ever; but neither Vidiots nor PBG are any bad at all really.
