Chick talks about his admiration of the flamenco culture, as well as his friendship and musical association with Paco de Lucía. Featured in the clip are Nino De Los Reyes, Jorge Pardo and Niño Josele. The "future project" that Chick speaks of with them would go on to become the Spanish Heart Band and their Grammy-winning album, "Antidote"!

Chick Corea was one of my favorite musicians. I bought his first album Tones for Joans Bones back in the 70's. Mourning his passing 5 days ago. Feb 9 :

Y si te refieres a pureza flamenca mejor que Dorantes es Diego Amador. En fin para gustos colores pero con razones musicales mucho mejor.

My Spanish Heart touched my heart in the 70's. Almoraima by Paco had already grabbed my attention. I thought I understood flamenco, but I have since studied it and find these works to be pioneering - yet authentic to the core. But then of course, there is Franco's "Spanish" music and the Flamenco of Andalusia. This is where the authentic spices of flamenco are honed. Thank you for the video.
