Everyone who heard Lewis before seeing him was like...wait...what? No one expects this young chubby ginger Scot to sing like that! He is also super funny and relatable and genuine. He has been on a social network hiatus but his instagram stories are legendary. I recommend his entire first album cuz if you just discovered that voice, you are in for a treat.

2 years ago, after 20 years of marriage, my wife moved out. This song was a soul wrenching heart breaker. Then I had a recommendation for Blue October's "Fear". It doesn't hurt as much now. Give it look, if you get a chance.
Wow I'm sorry 😔. I, too had a 20 year marriage. He walked away from me and our kids. I've never, quite gotten over it. We were best friends. It's 15 years later, with me having a 10 year marriage, but it's not much better. Life goes on, though.

Lewis wrote this song about his grandmother who had died. There's another video with his distant relative Peter Capaldi which is more relavent to the song in a roundabout way (a bit of a tear jerker vid)
I love this song, it is one of my favorites. However, I had never seen the video or even a picture of him,. So, like you his appearance was not what I expected. I thought the name Capauldi was Italian on origin and I guess I pictured him as Italian. He might be of Italian descent but he looks more Irish to me. Loved your reaction.
You’re almost right…..he’s Scottish born of Italian decent and related to Peter Capaldi the actor who played Dr Who for a while. He has a great self deprecating sense of humour especially about his looks………but boy can he sing.

I have never understood the idea that you can guess the sort of voice someone has just from the way they look? Granted if I heard a very feminine voice and it turned out to be a big muscly man, I'd be shocked. But that was an extreme and unlikely scenario.
Close your eyes listening to his passion the beauty of this song honestly who would you think was singing it , I know its shit but media has a huge part to play if your average looking even with an amazing voice your lucky to make it and only if you have an edge ........how many fat people do you see in the industry? It's understandable that people are shocked because iys unusual
