That paint color is awesome. Go royal with it. Use the purple with a royal blue.

This is becoming One of my Favorite builds of Yours. At first I was turned Off about making this Wide Body Into a Music Machine but Quickly caught on to Your Idea to Make an Unique car. The one thing I might suggest is using *Satin Black* not Flat Black. Using flat black will actually Draw the EYE away too much from the Overall color that You're deciding on.
I suggested it to "DD Speed Shop" (Big You Tuber) when he was deciding on painting his 67 Camaro flat black. He went with Satin Black & was Very happy on how it turned out. I feel it will work out better even if your going with just the trim Accents. You stated you were "Open to Suggestions" lol
I Retired from a 26 year Paint Lab stint making & TINTING paint Samples. Just Sayin' Keep Pushin' On my Fellow Modeler.

Thank you. I use semi-gloss black a lot and may just do that. I also thought about using carbon fiber decals on those sections also.

I think the audio equipment is a good idea. I remember that color. It's a Wild body kit. It deserves a wild paint job. Excited to see what you decide to do. I'll be watching

I was thinking of a dark purple or a dark maroon with semi gloss black trim. Working some white into the interior would be a nice idea. Thanks for sharing.

I was originally going to use the same maroon I have on the Porsche Slant Nose on the top section but don’t think it will look good with the mystic paint. It would look great with a charcoal color and may use that combo on a street rod!

You should go with a charcoal gray or like a metallic smoke instead of the black! Would go great with that purple

That looks really killer. I have been thinking of doing a wide body kit on something. This is a possiblity.

I must admit that I'm not a big fan of the wide body mods, but they do look killer on the Mustang! As for paint, I love the colorshift paints. That would be bad a$$ on the Mustang👍

Thank you. Personally I’m not much into this type of vehicle but man would I love to drive this thing! I like vehicles that can handle. Just something about ripping around a corner!

just a suggestion i did a paint scheme once that was orange body, white trim, and royal blue accent. i was thinking while you were talking a orange body with purple panels and a royal blue pin/accent stripe on the dividing lines. might look as wild as that body does

Looking really nice. My thought on a color scheme is pretty conservative. You have some major bodywork features that already give the car a nice sinister look. I think if you start breaking up the bodylines with multiple colors it will just be way too much. The lower portion in black or dark grey is nice. But the upper body would look great in a single color. I like the idea of a tangerine, maybe candy. I've never been a fan of the color shifting paints, so I won't vote for that but it would look fine if you don't break it up. Just my opinion. The bodywork you are doing on this is definitely professional, nice work.

I'd just do the whole body in purple and gloss black on the lower parts and keep the gold for the wheels

I see the 1970 Boss 429 Grabber Blue with white stripes. May be gold wheels?

I need to paint a real 84 Foxbody mustang -- Thinking Acapulco Blue which Is a early '70s Ford mustang color. Same shade as Grabber blue but Cleaner -- not as muddy. Found out O'Rielys sells small Touch up spray cans. Great assortment Competitively priced the same as Testors. Got a Nice Ford Clean Burgundy to paint a 69 Camaro Model with it. LOL

Just be careful using real auto paint on plastic. It can be too hot and attack the plastic. I know many people get away with it and say they never had a problem then it happens.

@@TheMuscleCarModeler Always use a light coat of primer let it cure overnight You should be fine. I'm thinking about a Light undercoat of a Bright Gold before I apply that clean Burgundy.I usually test my paints & Technique on some old sprues or parts to see If I'm getting the Desired affect I want.

To figure out where you want the colors on the body, Photoshop (Gimp) is your friend.

Interesting. I usually just spray the top color then lay down tape and see what looks good to me! Old calibrated eye ball!

With photoshop you can change the color and placement on the fly.
