- Going to have a little fun with this one. Doing a widebody conversion using the Iceman Collections kit with the Revell 1971 Mach1 Mustang kit. Bodywork is now done and after lots of paint ideas, I'm just going to lay some paint down.

As you were painting, I thought " Hey, that green doesn't look that bad".
It's a color I was not planning on and wanted something brighter. But the more I looked at it the more I think the radical bodywork is enough.

I thought the styling of this car was rather outrageous when I first saw it, but I have to admit it's grown on me and that color really makes it pop.

I've got both of the AMT 71 Mustangs and I'm planning on getting the Revell kit as well. I've got the wide body kit for the 69 Camaro I'll have to build that up before I decide if I'm going to get the 71 Mustang wide body Kit. Got to follow your progress, looking good so far
I had planned on doing a 70 Charger RT wide body. That one would have to be scratch built.
The body kit from Blackbox looks really cool, I'm just not a fan of how far out it sits from the door. Those steep edges just break it for me. Just a personal opinion. You've done great work with it and a cool color choice.
I know what you mean. The front boxes just don't look right to me either and I may be changing that.

In my neck of the woods, I can't really paint outside like that, the flying bugs would land on the wet paint and make a mess of things.
Yes. Lots of competing sounds outside, plus I'm farther away from the phone.

Me too I think, with the addition of some type of putty to get a bit of space under the parts so the edges can be painted.
