- Talking about should you still buy the iPhone SE 2020 (SE 2) today in 2022 and even in 2023. Is it still a good choice today 2 years after the release. Updated iPhone SE 2 review!
iPhone SE 2020 came out 2 years ago and since Apple released a new version of this phone recently, I wanted to take another look at this one to see if it still holds up today.
In my opinion, iPhone SE 2 is still a good choice if you're looking for a compact phone with this old-school vibe, home button, and Touch ID and you just want to update your old device to something a bit more powerful without losing those features. We're going over performance, design, display, cameras, battery life, and all other latest updates.

Finally upgraded to SE 2020 from my old iPhone 6 for $150 at Walmart and I’m so happy with it. Love Touch ID and home button, crazy battery life and loud speakers. Transferred everything from old iPhone to new phone in minutes, everything ready to go exactly as it was - no hours spent adjusting settings and app passwords etc. I highly recommend! Don’t really care for new iPhone navigation or price tag. I don’t know why they all say outdated design? Just something they heard and repeated arbitrarily.
Same. Had the iPhone 6s for around 4 years but my battery is only lasting around 45 mins and I’m tired of having to charge it constantly. Also now it won’t update anymore so I bought the SE 2020 yesterday for $149.00 from Walmart. I’m hoping to get a few years out of it. I’ve heard updates are available for around 5 years so I’m assuming this will update until 2025, hopefully.
im getting the iphone se 2 2020 bc its cheap and its worth it than se 3 but se 3 is good so prob se 2 bc its cheap and good phone and has good speed

I purchased the 64-gigabyte model new for $130 on Boost Mobile. I don't know if they still have them new for that price, but it has turned out to be one of the best tech investments I have ever made. This is my first experience with iOS, so I am in a bit of a honeymoon phase. Remember when phones were fun? That's what it is like for me. The small battery leaves something to be desired, but I'm not a heavy user and have no regrets at all. Moving all of my stuff from Android was effortless and took only minutes. That has probably been the most impressive part. For a phone with only 3 gigs of ram, I am very surprised at how fast and smooth everything is.
Got this last week on amazon's renewed program for $140. Man. No regrets. What a steal.
Just scooped one up at Walmart for $150 as a replacement for my iPhone x (whole screen almost went completely dead) no complaints whatsoever for the price

I bought an as new customer return iPhone SE 2020 this year for £229. It still has 100% battery capacity. I do not have 5G in my county and so would not have benefitted from the slightly faster iPhone SE 2022 5G. My iPhone SE 2020 is faster than most Android flagship phones and so is fast enough for me. The only downside is the small 4.7 inch LCD display. LCD is poorer than OLED but I did not think that it was worth paying three times as much for an iPhone 13 mini.
I just got a refurbished newer condition for 160,100 battery health.IPhones can always be used for the most part
I want that compact design and this so cheap in my country I guess I’ll buy this and btw pedja do have any opinion between iPhone se 2 or the xs thre at the same price !?
Hey sorry just saw your comment. Well the XS is better in most areas, the only advantage to the SE 2 is that it's one year younger and it's technically going to last a bit longer. So if you plan on keeping your phone for 4-5 years SE 2 is a better choice. But on the other hand the XS is still fast and reliable and it can last for years as well and you get a much better screen, cameras, battery life and everything.

Review is spot on. I just an Amazon renewed with a brand new battery. Health is 100%. Looks refurbished from apple. Perfect condition. Battery life is not that great but manageable. Happy with my purchase.
My brother had this for 8 months last year, he got a used Pixel 6 pro last Christmas to replace it. He did not seem happy owning the 2020 SE.

Thanks! They're both great honestly. 12 is a bit bigger and has a newer chip and 5g. But you won't notice a difference in performance day to day. 11 Pro has that third telephoto camera. You can't go wrong with either, I would personally go with the 11 Pro cause of the smaller form factor, but that's just me 😀
The SE 2/3 can be improved by using a MagSafe case, Neurocam for night pictures and Focos for portrait pics without a human face.
The SE’s, Xr and 11 are the only choices for the 10% of us who can’t use OLED due to PWM.
I just bought one. For £200 you won't get a better phone. Obviously I bought a second hand one. But even a full price phone for £200 that can match the SE 2020 ? Nah. I don't need a lot of the fluff of the latest phones. Give me reliable functionality and quality. The camera is a real talking point for me. I believe since Pixel first came on the market, phone cameras are relying far too heavily on HDR and processing. I believe the SE 2020 was the last phone to hold onto the virtues of good colour response, good light handling and natural detail in a camera.
its a solid phone with some flaws.
i run mine always or more often
in energy safe mode ( the yellow battery symbol).
i´m not a heavy user of camera/gaming/videos
so it gets me through nearly 2 and a half days.
which is okay, but in normal mode you often have to charge it once a day which i find quite uncomfortable.
performance and camera are good, no problems
and it runs stable under 16.1

I think the most dramatic difference will be the size and design. If you want a change, definitely try out the XR. I upgraded from 7 Plus to 11 and can't imagine going back to having a home button

Sure, go for it! Just keep in mind that it's much smaller than A21s and it has those bezels top and bottom so it may take some time to get used to it. But other than that SE 2020 is a much better phone overall.

The place that I got my iPhone SE 2020 a little bit over 2 years ago that they still have on display next to SE 3. My next iPhone will be iPhone 14 in purple. It was display in 14+. I really liked the color. I do liked iPhone 14 because of the size. It is in blue. That would be my 2nd choice of color if there is no purple ones. I even liked the iPhone 13 in pink. I even saw iPhone 13 mini and it is smaller than my SE one. I still have my iPhone 8,too.

from what I've seen the se2 has a better camera than the iPhone x, better performance and better battery than my old iPhone x, only down side imo is no face id and smaller screen, but if you can get past that its definitely a better phone, plus its cheaper rn only $150 at walmart brand new with a 1 year warranty, up to you but I'd go for the se2

Battery is on the lower side but should be fine if you're not a power user or don't mind recharging during the day. If you're using your phone a lot, maybe go with a unit that has better battery health.

Probably not to be honest. You can get a brand new one at Walmart for 150 it will be locked to straight talk. On the 21st of November this year it will be 99 dollars
