I have had a lot of mean comments about my grout. Do I care? NO! Well...a little. But only because I put so much effort into cleaning my grout with very little satisfaction. This is not a how to clean your grout video, this is definitely a "sometimes you do everything you can do and still, people aren't happy with how clean your grout is" video. Don't take it too seriously, I certainly don't.

Ahhhhhh yes.... The "travertine travesty"! So well put! I am also a person who is painfully aware of grout color.....đ.... But I would never, ever comment on someone else's grout! My heart extends to you! You are my favorite channel!

Some people just look for ways and reasons to be hateful. It didn't look gross to me before. That is an actual style. I wouldn't choose that style for myself, but beauty is always subjective. Forget those people. They have all kinds of personal problems and they like to take them out on strangers.

Itâs not like you laid the grout yourself. The only way to fix that is to redo it, which is beyond the scope of a cleaning channel. Wild that people would continue to comment on it showing their ignorance. There were times when the grout looked clean and there was no reason for people to comment on it besides to offer to redo it for you. I think I would have dropped a link to a gofundme anytime someone commented on it like âCongrats on noticing! Youâre cordially invited to fund the re-grout initiative or to grout your mouth shut!â
Seriously because replacing it all would be thousands of dollars. And it was thousands just resealing it.

People who have mental disabilities or issues and even who donât have literally killed themselves over cyber bullying. They should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of saying something rude and mean, how about a helpful suggestion or word your question nicer..But at the end of the day girl, you have amazing videos and DONT listen to people like this. Hello girl I think your floors are great I love the look of the tile and the way it's grouted . At least your floor done we have been wanting new lino for years since we did our kitchen and made it larger. The lino has patches of bits tape together. Still saving. I agree one needs thick skin on utube. People need to think before typing and b kind also diplomatic too. We all have feelings.

I tell them we donât get a lot of hate/meanness. If you donât count the guy who told us maybe we would get more subscribers if we cleaned in a bikini.
But Dianaâs grout lines have been hated for years. Especially on the bathroom cleaning videos. We joke about it but she also felt beat up.
Her tile lines arenât straight either, they are squiggly lines.
Diana was so exasperated after all that time and money. And the first comment back was about her grout! đđđ
I hope she is feeling better! There are so many people who just don't understand what "chiseled edge travertine tile" is. It's meant to look rustic, natural, old-world, etc. It just happens that it needs extra grout and extra special cleaning and sealing - professional steam cleaning channels show how it is done best with a cleaning solution, then high pressure steam cleaning, then sealing. If Diana got it sealed she did the right thing and the cost was reasonable!
I am so sorry, some people can barely be named so, but at least you have drawn a somewhat positive conclusion that has made you wiser. I truly believe in your efforts, no matter the appearance of your grout. Just remember, you are doing your best. If others don't appreciate or ignore it, it's THEIR PROBLEM. I, like some more people here, are here waiting to see what you wanna show us.
I used Lysol toilet bowl cleaner on my grout. It worked great! Apply let sit a minute and use a hard brush over it an rinse.
I used it on my sink to get rid of really gross built-up hard water stains and ta da--white again. I used Lysol Power. Be wary if using this however as it will eat sealant around drains, but for a floor this would not be an issue. If a grout is dark naturally in color though, I think only paint would lighten it up or some kind of a stain maybe.

I've been thinking of scraping out the grout in our guest bathroom and putting in new grout - the tiles are still in perfect condition-
If im not mistaken the grout is meant to look aged. I like it!

I'm sorry people can be so mean. I have white tile on the floor of my bathroom and it doesn't take long after cleaning the grout for it to look like it needs to be cleaned again but when you lift the rugs up to clean the floor under the rugs still look great. I have thought about getting the grout dyed. It was supposed to be white like the tile but it's never looked as white as the tiles. I bet most of the bad comments come from people that don't even keep their home clean like you do.

I would just continue to explain a side note whenever youâre doing videos that involve your grout and then leave it at that if commenters canât even bother to listen to what you said. đ

Yes, you do need a thick skin on CZcams! đ LOL I'm also sorry about your floors, though...must be so incredibly frustrating. You've probably thought of painting the grout? I've known people to do that to their counter tops before...not sure about the flooring, though. Fear not, though! You are not defined by your grout!đ ...and that's certainly not why I tune in! Chin up! đ
Have you ever considered a "gofundme" to help with cleaning projects that you do for others, or to even help replace the floors in your home? I can understand the apprehension/hesitation of asking, but there are a lot of people out there who would be happy to donate to the cause. I will.

Ummm, you do know that grout comes in different colors, right? Neutral colors like black and browns...

â@@CleanFreakGermaphobe i wouldn't care one bit what people think, but if the color bothers you personally, grout paint is pretty diy friendly as far as I've heard. Aside from that, zep grout cleaner is a miracle worker. I actually think it just removes a very fine layer off the grout and makes it new again. I do believe sealing is recommended after using it, but it's well worth it. Sorry people are jerks. âč
