  • William Claude Dukenfield (January 29, 1880 - December 25, 1946), better known as W. C. Fields, was an American comedian, actor, juggler and writer. Fields' comic persona was a misanthropic and hard-drinking egotist, who remained a sympathetic character despite his snarling contempt for dogs and children.
This is just a small collection of his great talent for comedy on all levels. His style of comedy was unique and traits of it can be found in modern day comedy. Al Bundy, Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin have a lot to owe to this guy.

I`m 62 now, when I was a kid if I saw that a W.C. Fields movie was coming on The Late Show (TV Guide movie listing), or The Late Late Show, I would wait excited for 2 or 3 a.m. to catch it. My very favorite comedian OF ALL TIME. I still love WC to death!

W.C. Fields is pure comic genius. I laughed at his performance the first time I watched one of his movies on television when I about 8 years old. He still makes me laugh now at 50 something, a testament to his talent. No obscenities, just talent.

I never knew how funny W.C Fields was until I got older. This man was a genius. I sure hope/pray that he will be rediscovered by future generations.

Sublime perfection. So many years after these were filmed, you still laugh out loud.

Been in love with these films for over 60 years, my father got me started at age three, it just keeps getting better. Thank you for all the great humor. My pops emulated this man's entire being. His friends called him W.C. Falstaff. Great stuff!

If you ever see one movie with W C Fields make sure that you see Its A Gift(1934)

Back at a time when actors and comedians had talent. All of these people, W C Fields , The Marx Brothers and many others are legendary. But not many ( if any ) of today’s so called stars will be remembered. Great video 👍👍👍

I first discovered WC Fields in my teens 50 years ago, and he became something of a role model for me, intentionally or not. This explains a lot about my life in the ensuing decades.
