My Ned Kelly Location Video
Over the course of three days I visited as many Ned Kelly locations as was possible. I started with his childhood home in Beveridge all the way to Greta Cemetery where he was finally buried as per his wishes. Edward Kelly (December 1854 - 11 November 1880) was an Australian bushranger, outlaw, gang leader and convicted police-murderer.
One of the last bushrangers, he is known for wearing a suit of bulletproof armour during his final shootout with the police. Narrated, shot and edited by Paul Hagl

The Carrathool Chronicles - The Notorious Bathroom
Directly above those columns in the car park are trees in a park and that’s why they are shaped like that.
Used to go up to the yoo yangs to collect blue stone rocks for our garden in late 1970. There was hand made bluestone fences along some roads in that area ,foxes and wild dog carcasses were hung from the wire fencing There was local legend of a big foot in the yoo yangs too
I enjoyed the video and your humour. I drove down the same dirt road looking for the Kelly House in Greta. In Greta cemetery I found Ned's cousin, Tom Lloyd. I did a similar thing that you did with Ben Hall but I only did one video at the Eugowra Escort Rock. I took some photos of the site marking where he was shot, but this site is disputed. Thanks for the video
Look i am the Master of this Hause,Herold! Yes, dear, jes dear😛😁😁I hate little Kids
😂😅😅😅😅😅
The only people who were upset at gangsters being gunned down were other gangsters - the general populace couldn’t care less that certain crims were ending up on slabs at the morgue….
Nonsense, he was innocent, the same thing could happen to them.
7 years ago & I actually enjoyed these old videos
I actually love this, just a bunch of young men doing home videos back in the old days. Just having fun, yeap. I love it.
good work mate
wow the animatronics have not changed in 40 years!
Depressing visit to the childhood home and farm at Greta. Travelling there with family in the 80s, you could see the remnants of the chimney still standing. That was all that was left of the homestead but it looks like that is all gone too, now.
"enough with the banjos" 😂
Not ashamed to say, this is in my Top 10 movies. I bought the big steal bluray sunburnt screens #7, released by umbrella. For some stupid reason, the movie had a 4k restoration but they released it in 1080p, not 4k... 🤷
You did well to identify some of the specific scenes! As you said, the geography is all over the place. I've been there a few times and haven't ever been certain that I'm in one of the scenes. It can be a little disorientating at the top - adds to the intrigue I suppose.
One of the great sport movies of all time with some fantastic quotable quotes. Congratulations on this documentary. Unbelievable!
Thanks! I wished more people watched it. Feel free to share it 👍
Bartender is Shemp.
Love Jerry Lewis,very funny.
My apartment in st kilda was the host of some of the cast parties. The owner of the 50s apartment was involved in the theatre. Back in the time pubs and clubs had limited trading and st kilda was the bohemian suburb with artists and actors. 😊
Again great job! Thank you
Ned Kelly film you showed was the first full length movie made in Australia
He was a criminal not a rock star. He killed several people including a police officer.
This was awesome Paul! Thank you so much for doing this video! Wow! Wonderful effort. thanks.
I loved this doco bro, you did a great job!! Was really well presented and had a real natural presence and love how you share your thoughts and feelings at stringy bark it was really great!! The Kenniff brothers would be a great one for you to do, of you haven't already? Jimmy and Pat Kenniff...thanks again for this 👌🏽🙌🏽💙
My favourite film ever. Magical, mystical film.
I love this film. Very nostalgic seeing these areas of Melbourne that have such strong memories for my mum and me.
This was so much fun. Loved your humour, and I don’t blame you finding every distraction possible before getting into the Stomper grounds! This was a hoot.
This was absolutely wonderful. I’m so glad I found your channel. It’s so good to see authentic Oz history and not the hyperbole often found. And I loved the bits of film with good old Mick Jagger as Ned, that was priceless. (I thought he did a good job, actually) Thank you for this🤗
Thanks for your support. I've got a new one coming out in about a week. Click that bell below the video 😇
Killing your econobox trying to patch out after the big buildup was hilarious! Well done!
“It’s a Gift “ is the funniest movie ever made. Tell me a better one.
He played a big part in the computer program now it's full on code for horse racing.
Loved this!
Well, no, Daniel Pollock was not alright...
The very last scene was shot at a cafe on the south west corner of Rathdowne & Curtain Sts North Carlton, it was supposed to be Portugal. A friend of mine was as extra in that scene.
Brilliant ✨👍
Mr. WC. F. How You Like Kids ;Boiled 🥵🔥 Hello From Long Beach California 🆒🌊🧜♀️🐬🏝️🎣💐🌅🌃. Great Clip a Keeper Thanks For Sharing 🎞️🎥😊.
As an American, I have no vested interest in this issue; but, it seems to me, that Ned Kelly was a blood thirsty outlaw and killing was what he meant to do. I do not see him as a victim at all; but, I gather that many Australians do. Why?
Gough was actually the Prime-Minister when he went to the 1975 election; and Kerr, after he sacked Gough, appointed Fraser as the acting Prime Minister.
Very good mate. Enjoyed it all.
Good work!
At the start where you are standing Paul next to the freeway on that exact spot is one location filmed from HOMICIDE episode was "The long weekend"
I love WC Fields! The things he said , you can apply to real life when things get tough The load is easier with WC Fields , just the most perfect comedy! 🥰
Chaplin's movements are so perfect and appear effortless. I don't think there is anybody that can compare in this regard.
I thought Australia was totally closed to sea, like Serbia or similarly named Austria.
Another story of corrupt policing. Murder of a SUSPECT. Not even proven to be the murderer, and how the hell can they see through his metel door and see a gun on his lap? And why the fuck would u even have a shotgun on ur lap. Sounds like a setup from the start. Before he even left the house.
It's Jerry lewis
Gee melbourne has changed over the years from the 80 s to 2024
5:18 ~ - I love that ‘Hi Cody’ and the pointed gesture that you give him after he returns your greeting with ‘Hi’ 😂
Gd doco mate - but awful bloody music and too loud ...
Bloody disgraceful - should be a monument and museum - he is a legend ...never trust the Victorian police !
I would love to know what happened with all of Malcolm’s tram models, whether they were a borrowed private collection or whether they were acquired for the movie
