We love watching your family trips
You sir are a chef----in disguise..... my mouth waters with your food options. Cam you enjoy yourself, Tiff, a proud mum of two, I have enjoyed your commentry on the inside perspective on van life. I have learnt a lot from both of you, we are planning a first trip to NTH QLD, your advise has been invaluable. We have bunks for our girls, it will be an adventure. Please keep posting, your advice and information is very practical and factual. If you guys can do what you do with the two babies, we can. Stay safe guys.
Cheers Robert, you guys will have a ball on your FNQ trip!
Loving the variety of content Cam, from the tinny episodes and great to see the family enjoying the van. Spring is always a bitch with the wind on the west coast, ive had my boat out twice in last 2 months. Tiff is doing great job infront of the camera these days, she sounds and looks a lot more comfortable now. Its not as easy as it looks. Great couple working awesome together.
Unscrew the oil catcher under the zig half way and it will stop the lid half way.
Loving this family trip series, and having mates along as well 👌
Tiff, Cam, Chloe, Brodie & Percy thanks for the video 👍👍👍
Just a tip, to stop the lid on your Ziggy from opening all the way, screw the drip tray down so the lid hits and only opens half way!! New to your channel! Thanks for the tips!
Chloe is such an asset for your channel......daddy stiring love it cheers from Bunbury western Australia x
There is a town here in Qld called Gladstone and we call it Happy Rock
I enjoyed the updates about the use of battery use and air con power
Thank you for a terrific video. Elaine
Loved the video, so envious of your pork roast looked amazing.Great to see all the family 💖💖
Good vision, great chat, good looking folk… Great video
Hi Cam, loved the video, by the way my mouth was watering just looking at that Roast. 👍😀
Nice Guys & Girls & Kids
Thanks for sharing takes a bit longer but memories for life
Thanks for Sharing safe travels Cheers
Thanks for watching Barry 🙂
Another great Video and a great part of Australia 👍👍
We're thinking about moving to Western Australia just for the camping! You guys are definitely spoilt for choice. Love your videos.
What a beautiful family
Lovely Vid guys, cracking spots.
Cheers Craig, its a good stretch of coast!
Great content once again and had a look at the Tiegear site , rang them and i will get some at the 4wd and adventure show next week ,Thank you.
I use our microwave for bread storage it works a treat. 😊
I am looking forward to the discussions and decision on getting a new towing vehicle. I wish we were still living in Perth.
Mate ur made up my mind yep the boats going hello new caravan ☺☺☺ keep it up guys
Haha cheers mate. As the 'Old El Paso' ad goes; "Why not both?" 😂😂
You've parked in my usual spot at Cliffhead we bug out to there when ever we need to get away from people LOL
Hi Guys, Kim here with the WT Mk2 canopy, really good vid once again, just an update on the Ziggy lid, your supposed to unscrew the fat dish, I think it was 5 turns this allows the airflow to the top of the oven, prob help to brown the crackling as well as hold the lid up for you.
We are still out and about since we left in April, staying at Dundee Beach for while, we scored a caretaker role here for a few weeks at one of the rental houses. Heading back to be with family for Xmas.
Keep up the great work, all the best Kim and Carol
G'day Kim & Carol, good to hear from you.
Yeah I forgot about unscrewing the fat dish, still getting use to the Ziggy!
Dundee Beach looks beautiful, well done landing the caretakers gig! Safe travels guys!
Always stay at Wintersun when in Carnarvon.
Gladstone bay is a ripper of a place. Go the roast !! We don’t take our plate of the microwave either 😂
great video, only gripe is you called the robson xtt a forward folder 🤣 wish it was as easy as one though
Great trip guys, maybe the wind helped you to find some new sites. That new toy feeling with the battery and air-conditioning will last a while I reckon 😉😉😁😁. I know I love looking at how many Amps I can pull and put back in. I've driven past Gladstone so many times, good to see what it's like. I'll now endeavour to stop there next trip. Cliff head looks beautiful too.
Cheers Mark...
Yeah you’re right actually! Leaving early gave us a bit more time to poke around and find new camps! Cheers Mark 👍🏼
Go the A/C. Makes all the difference on those hot days.
Absolutely! It will be great for the little one with day sleeps.
Yeow
Gladstone is station owned
Lovely people 😎
Ahh okay cool, they've done a good job setting it up!
Love the videos guys, Does your new Ziggy have flame failure protection as I know Ziggy were bringing one out to comply with the gas standard AS/NZS 5601.2. Flame failure protection is required on an appliance that is
fixed to the RV and on a portable appliance that is
connected to the gas installation through a gas bayonet. I have the weber which does not comply so have to connect to seperate cylinder and regulator.
With my Ziggy if you unscrew underneath a bit where the fat drains it stops the lid going all the way back
Cheers mate, forgot about that!
Looks great its so funny the flies dont need a invite they just show up dont kill one as 400 will show up at the funeral lol. I love the give it a taparoo.
Haha they are a pain in the butt!
Should try Sizzler bbq. Its a hundred times better than Ziggy
I have never used a Ziggy but seems very similar to the Weber q and I’ve have had good luck using a trivet and convection tray for roasts instead of baking tray as apparently it impedes the convection of the bbq.
That does make sense, will have to get my hands on a proper roast tray!
@@WildTouring disposable convection trays and a trivet mate, can get away with a few layers of foil and running a knife between the slats in the cooking grate but the little packs you can get at Bunnings is far more convenient. Good luck mate
What the set up on up and also Nice caravan
Another good vid guys. Loving the trip conte t, as is my daughter.
Be interested to hear what your car troubles are..
Mainly just the air con - the evaporator cracked so the whole dash had to come out to repair it. Wasn’t cheap 😩 recently had the one of the inner guards crack too.
@@WildTouring an easy fix then, well except for the cost. The content is good, and Tiff is seemingly a lot more comfortable in front of the camera. Your young fella is looki g like he is growing well. Enjoy the family time. Cant wait for the next episode.
Hey Cam, can you tell us more about why you like the ziggy better than the weber?
We have a ziggy!! Actually 2! One for home and one for camping. Will never go back to Weber!!
@@neilandyosheh reasons?
Glad the van is working out after the rocky start.
Do your insulated cups fit the cup holders in the d-max? If so, are you doing another run of them?
Cheers mate! Yeah they do fit in the cup holders. I’m really happy with them, they’ll be on the webshop in the next week or so!
Nice one, stayed at cliff Head, must have been the next camp along as there are long drops there. Used to be free but at $20 it's not too bad I suppose. You at the perth 4wd show? Will pop by and say hi if you are.
Cheers Oli, yeah I remember all that stretch of coast being free camping. With the traffic it gets these days it probably needs to be set up the way it is to keep the rubbish/fires/toilet paper under control!
Yes mate will be at the Show with Offroad Living again, site 154. Come say gday!
The title of your video is "low cost off grid caravanning" - I still have to buy a caravan to access this low cost holiday!
You can get to any of these places with any vehicle, doesn’t matter what you’re camping in 🙂
Would be keen to know why you prefer the Ziggy over the Webber. Should do a vid one day
Both are great Mike. Just little things for me, love that the grill and lid can lock into place so they don't bounce around on corrugations. Also like that the lid opens all the way back onto itself so that it fits in the caravan tunnel boot - wouldn't work on many vans with a weber (unless you removed the lid).
Hi love your videos, what was the name of the cords you use to tie the awning down with . Also did you by the front shade of your awning seperate.? Thank you
The cords are from Tie Gear, great little Aussie invention.
www.tiegear.com.au/
Privacy screen was bought separately from CampSmart.
Wow that was amazing 👏 the places you went to making me jealous 😆 🤣
Cheers Frank!
Tiffany where did you get the runner from for the kitchen?
Would love to know too. I went straight to the comments to see if anyone else had asked, you beat me to it. 😁
Was from Kmart but I bought it about 5 years ago for our house so they don’t seem to sell that design anymore! 🙁
Good to see you're enjoying the van life. Interested to see how your repairs go - hope it works out well for you 👍
What makes the Ziggy better than the Weber?
I've never heard either but been thinking about a Weber for a while . . . .
Apparently it is illegal to use a Webber plugged into the external gas supply on a caravan. The Weber does not have the automatic gas supply shut off that a Ziggy has.
Both are great bbqs. But I like that there are locks to secure the lid and grill on the ziggy while you're travelling, and because the lid can open back on itself you can fit the bbq in your tunnel boot on the van. Doesn't work with a weber on most vans with standard sized tunnel boots.
@@WildTouring Cheers Cam 👍 so if the compactness wasn't a factor you'd still go a Ziggy or are there any functional benefits to the Weber's? Or Ziggy benefits for that matter . . .
You off the Keto cam? I find it incredibly hard when you have camp trips
Yeah off the Keto at the moment. Can't say no a few beers in the afternoon! Back on the wagon between trips.
Nice video I think I’ll pass on the live music 😂
Have you had the issues with the van fully resolved? Looks like it's been going good on this trip.
Commented before watching the whole video
Yeah it went well this trip. Most of the issues have been resolved. Dealer has been pretty helpful. Will do a follow up video in a few weeks.
I have only just subscribed but I am seriously reconsidering, you eat eggplant - really 🤣
😂 I was just as outraged as you when Tiff whipped it out!
Wait. Just hold up a second please.
Are you saying neither of you has a special codeword to get 0.02% off retail price for a Muk Mat?
Excuse me for a moment, I need a beer or 37 to cry into.
I'm devastated that I can't afford it now 😫
I made a comment, but Peta said it was too polite so I deleted it
