Just be Careful guys, to many early nights and you may need more bunks lol. Good to see you got some squid, well done. Hope the van goes well.
😂😂 I'm not buying another van in this market!!!!
Soaking the squid in milk, helps tenderise it. Keep the milk in a separate bottle, in the fridge, you can get two goes out of it. Don't want to be putting that in ya coffee 🤣🤣🤣.
Great spot. Luxury living, van life. One day!!!!
Cheers Mark....
Haha squid coffee, that would be a surprise in the morning 🤣🤣
If you pound that octopus with a mallet first and then place it in a pot with no water at all and let cook in its own juices first and then bbq it, it will be tender. Boiling it in water will turn it into rubber. As a wog I grew up eating it, and when done right, its the best.
so i came across you'r video and i was like is that a willow RV caravan in the thumbnail so i clicked on it and sure enough it is. so i had to come here so i could post this comment.i'm the dude that cut's all that steel and parts to build that willow RV chassis. i work at the company that supplies caravan chassis's to both willow RV and AVAN and a couple of other caravan manufactures the place is called RollCraft and is located right next to AVAN in pakenham
Lol so he falls overboard and you keeping fishing……classic.
The van is looking very pretty Tiff 😀🌺🌸🌼
Haha yeap, the fish won't wait!
How good is it camping in a van !! It is amazing and comfortable, we too just can't get enough of it. Thanks for the vid.
Love it!
So glad you had a great family holiday! Sharks did cross my mind when yourself and friend kyaked out so far and when your friend went into the water I was even more concerned. Glad you all made it back safely and with Dinner! Chloe is such a good big sister and Brodie is squishy cheek cute. 😍❤️🇦🇺🦘
Thanks Gail 🙂 I’ve always figured the sharks are so well fed up there anyway! Haha
Love it .. great to see you all out and about again .. had a good old chuckle at the squid inking 😂😂😂. 🍺🍺
Cheers mate!
Awesome place to camp, should be on everyone's bucket list to visit at least once, we loved our stay 👍👍👍
Call us soft but we couldn't go back to canvas as we head off year round, rain, hail and shine so lov'n our van with the comfort security from the elements.
enjoy the bigger van life, keep the awesomeness coming 👍👍👍
Cheers Andy
Cheers Andy, we're loving van life too mate!
6:20 I bet that’s the first time your missus says that! 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
Love the early shot and smiles of Brodie
Tiff, Cam, Chloe, Brodie & Percy thanks for the video 👍👍👍
Hope that ziggy has a Thermocouple to keep Buck Happy.
Good to see the Landrover Discovery has plenty of backup.
It was really windy when we were there. Windy enough that if you were lightweight you’d fly away 😂. Couldn’t get the kayak on the shore as the waves keep Pushing it out. We also had our camper trailer face the other way. Honestly wouldn’t camp there again unless it’s calm.
Hi mate love your Channel get yourself a set of boss camp air deflaters game changer no more crouching down deflating tyres 👌👌👌
Love the video well done catching the fish on the kayak Love how the hole beautiful family talk on the video even the little one tried to talk keep on showing us the beautiful scenery love it all
Thanks mate!
Baits before mates hey Cam 🤣 Great to see all the family out enjoying themselves in the new van 👍
🤣 hahaa cheers mate
Ink showers nice. Salt water showers for your mate lol van looks great on the beach enjoy.
Haha cheers Dean
Great meeting you all!! Love Warroora even in the wind!! Enjoy your van 😄
Likewise, hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay!
Bugger me. The kayak scene had me in stitches
Haha, he didnt let me forget it! Got bogged the next day and he watched me digging out while he sat back with a beer hahaha
Great video Cam, love the beach camping, caravan looks awesome
It’s those windy times that it’s great to be able to pop into the sanctuary of a full sized van, no folding walls out or having to pop the roof up. Just enjoy. I do like how you had the cupboard door open to the electrical monitors the whole video. Stop looking at the % it’s says 100 nearly all the time
Haha very true, just a habit 😂 the hot water controls are up there and we like to turn the pump off when we leave the van for the day, don’t trust the plumbing after that first big leak we had 🙈
took our van to Warroora recently, stayed at "Stevens" glad we were sheltered behind the dunes.
Glad your van is working well for your family trips. PS Chloe is still the star of the show LOL
Cheers mate. This trip we wished we were behind the dunes!
Haha yeah Chloe knows it now too 😂😂
You got some serious burley teasing happening for the squid 😄 great spot and very family friendly, cheers 🍻
Cheers mate!
Also love the footage of the squid getting you!! We laughed so hard ( not meaning it to be at your expense though lol)
😁😁 haha cheers Joanne!
Good to see the van working well for yas 👍👍
Cheers Adam, few things to sort out with warranty but it went well this trip 👍
Looks like the van is doing a great job Cam, out of the wind, no flapping canvas and Airconditioning!
Had a good laugh when you prioritise fishing over a rescue
We have done the same when my mates son slipped of the boat in shark invested waters, we just watched him rescue himself, the look on his face was gold!
If you’re lazy like me and you want to get to the reef fast there is a product called a “whippeller” that connects on to a straight shaft whipper snipper, you basically have a 5kg outboard motor for $150 that straps on to the kayak
I prefer catching than paddling lol
Poor bugger won't let me forget I left him for dead!
I got bogged the next day and he sat back and watched while he had a beer hahaha.
The whipper snipper motor sounds cool, ill have to check it out!
@@WildTouring not sure if you can still get the whippella propulsion unit
awesome spot thanks for sharing👍👍 and who doesn't love a mate getting soaked by some rouge wave 😂oh and squid ink all over your face....great work.
Haha cheers mate 😂😂
Absolutely, amazing Tiff and Cam, I hope you all enjoy your new camper, and your trip away, all the best.
Alex.
Thanks so much 🙂
Looks like a great trip. The van looks great too guys!
Cheers mate!
How awesome is that water collor. Great to see the timber look on the inside of your van guys, So much better than that sterile white
Yeah it’s a beautiful part of the coast that’s for sure! Tiff hates the timber looks but she said it’s grown more on her now, does make it feel much more homely.
Great vid guys!! The wind still hasn’t died down since leaving!! 😖
Bugger mate. Saw you got out to Francois Peron and big lagoon!👌
Cool, I thought I recognised your ranger there on the beach.. did you have good day together?
Great episode family, your doing great, it’s nice to see all your plans coming to fruition, looking forward to following your journeys and watch you making awesome memories. Great fun fishing out of the kayak when the squid are on, you did well to stay upright 😂 you need to get to Perlubie Beach in SA for Xmas /New years, you’ll love it and take the kayak 😂
Your kids will thank you later in life even in the hard times.
I hope to see you on the road someday. 😊
Cheers Lee, actually looking at doing a bit of a loop through SA next year!
nice one guys, the van is looking good
Great vid guys. Living the dream!
Cheers mate!
Hi wild touring well done on the new van much better for the family can't wait to get there Xmas you may know in Victoria we can't camp on the beaches looking forward to WA our daughter lives in Perth full time so we can stay as long as we want well done on the fishing cam cheers team 🎥🏆👍
Cheers mate, yeah we are pretty lucky over here to be able to camp on the beach!
Mate looked like a mint trip bro
We are looking forward on getting out on some trips once i give the old GQ a birthday haha
Take it easy mate
Cheers Byron.
Yeah nice one mate, plenty for us to do and see on the west!
Wow! That looks like a hugh van.
20ft. Heaps bigger than the hybrid, but probably on the smaller side for a family bunk van from what we looked at.
@@WildTouring Looked bigger from the aerial shots. Loving the content.
Very cool 😎👍
Hey cam can you run through your VictronConnect settings for your solar controllers. I just bought one and it’s good to see what others are running. 👍 great vids.
Hey mate, shoot me a msg on insta and ill see if i can send you a screen shot of the settings.
I love my Victron controller! Tells me exactly what's going on. My fridge runs all day on one 100w panel and leaves enough to pick up some charge.
Its good gear!
Poor Brad looks like he was lucky to get through the episode with his life - shark infested waters & king waves 🤣🤣🤣
Haha 😂
Living the family caravan videos. What size beer glass that you use that is protected by the stubby cooler? Thanks heaps
It’s a headmaster beer glass - 425ml
Hi Csm, what sort of slide did you install for ur ziggy? Thanks for the great videos.
Hey mate it’s a Dunn and Watson, 60L + fridge slide, with the added bench. Works awesome!
Great video! Can you guys recommend a couple of sites at 14 mile? Thank you
We like 28 - the last one on the beach. Can get really windy though!
The Lagoon and Sandy Point are really nice too (and a bit quieter).
maxtrax easy deflate, cant beat doing 2 tyres at once when you have 8 to do lol
I’ve actually got one. I know so many people seem to rate them. Had it for about 9 months and I honestly find it so fiddly and slow for inflating and deflating that I never use it. Which reminds me- I’ve got to stick it up for sale!
What was fishing off the beach like.
Wondering if you have considered a wind generator for energy after dark?
Havn't really looked into it, I've always sized the system to get the charge in that I need with solar during daylight hours.
gday, very nice. How old is Cloe now? We have a 3yo and the rare tantrum when camping makes it "interesting"
Time for a upgrade so you can take the tiny.
Absolutely
Fantastic shakedown trip guys and gals, another awesome vid as usual 👍
Hey cam how did the van go towing wise?
Cheers mate! Van towed really nicely. Overall it went really well this trip. Just waiting on Willow to approve a list of warranty issues, and then hopefully we'll have a good run!
Another great vid guys 👍 Question Cam, where did you get your pint glass stubby holder ? TIA.
It’s just one of the regular wild touring stubby coolers around a headmaster beer glass. Doesn’t fit perfectly but does the job 👌
love the vids, have a question tho of the basis of enjoying the caravan and having owned a camper and hybrid,, with say $35,000.00 to spend what would you buy a brand new camper with extras, 2nd hand hybrid or an old caravan?
Totally depends on your needs. The caravan suits us better for family travelling and longer term trips but the hybrid was awesome for getting more off grid and towing down 4x4 tracks. Don’t think we would ever buy a camper again now, we’re soft and enjoy the luxury of a shower, toilet and inner spring mattress! Haha. Different strokes for different folk though, as long as you get out there and enjoy it! 😎
Hi Cam was this the vid before the video? We want more. Just joking. Godspeed.
Hi Cam
I see you aren't taking your tinnie for obvious reasons. Have you ever thought about buying a porta bote like the young fella from indefinite leave
Yeah absolutely, looked at fibreglass, plastic and inflatables. Lots of options! I'll sort something out!
I have commented before on other vids however I see your running your old Ziggy on yr gas bayonet, just be very careful as you will have no insurance if something goes wrong as the old Ziggy’s doesn’t have the flame out devise. Love your channel and new van.
Cheers Terry 👍
Old squid lips!!! Hahahahh
Lovells gcm upgrade will get you to 7000kg
On a brand new car pre rego yeah 👍🏼
My hubby & I saw the fish you called a Chinaman. We thought it must be a slang name, so I googled it. All I could find in the net about Chinaman fish is that you shouldn’t eat them because of the chance of ciguatera poisoning? Is that right?
Chinaman Fish can be toxic, we were catching Chinaman Cod (or Charlie Court as they're otherwise known).
I noticed that you are very diligent re weights does wa check mutch as we are 100 kg over and don't know where to loose it with about 40 kg of water only
its not so much about the cops, its damage to the van and car especially over rough surfaces.
Also insurance. If you have an accident and your rig gets taken away to be assessed... best believe they will get outta paying for it if they can. Who can afford to lose 150k if not more of asset due to voided insurances.
@@krump743 being over loaded is not an automatic claim denial. Only if the overloading can be proven to have contributed to the crash. It’s like saying a busted indicator bulb voids your insurance. Simply not true
@@liamwindsor5854 uh huh u wanna take that chance do ya. A massive amount of 4wds are illegally modded, if ur relying on someone else being at fault in an accident cause u choose to over weight it, hoping so ur insurance wont deny it thats a stupid way to gamble as u trek around the country.
I’ve not come across the authorities checking yet, have heard it’s starting to happen more now though. But as others have said, being overweight will certainly void any warranties or insurances.
Campboss 4x4 Boss Air Tyre Deflators
I've got a set. I didn't find them to be very accurate or consistent. Did a video on it about a year ago showing what my issue was - All 4 Adventure contacted me afterwards and said that they had been having some issues with their manufacturer and there were some batch issues they're working through, they were going to send me a replacement but never did.
@@WildTouring thanks for that Cam i have seen them advertised & was thinking of getting some will think a lot longer maybe
So when are u gonna start drone fishing? Way to much work paddling the ocean in those kinda kayaks anyway.
Funny that I bought the bait release years ago and I’ve never got around the using it. Always seems like too much effort 😂
@@WildTouring come on man do it for the content. Add another string to your bow 😂. Once you hook that first big one after the drone does the drop for you you will be hooked pun intended. 💪💪
🇭🇲😀👍🍻🍻
Cam, not sure if you are interested (or other subscribers) but I have a 180w AllSpark solar blanket with MPPT controller that I am selling for $450 on Market Place (original cost was $700 back in March 2022). We have been forced to sell our van (21.5ft Newlands Tourister) due to medical issues and did not include the portable solar blanket. ORL have advised they will support the balance (4.3 years) of the 5 year warranty to the new owner.
We were based in Mandurah but have now relocated to Mount Gambier SA and happy to split freight costs with the buyer.
G'day John, sorry to hear about your situation mate..
I'm not after a solar blanket at the moment, but hopefully someone in the comments might be. Same blanket I run and its top notch gear!
Twice, i have had cupboards fly open and stuff has fallen onto my swift 500 stove top smashing it, and same with some draws. The cutlery draw latch broke once and i walk into the van to see shit all over the floor. Its frustrating, even when you double check they are all closed. van life i suppose. :)
One of the blokes we were travelling with is having the same issue, drawers keep falling out. I'll be keeping a close eye on ours!
