Back in my youth, I had a race with one of these things in my Renaultsport Megane.
It didn't go well for me 🤣 I gave him a good run for his money up until about 60mph, but then got completely and utterly decimated. The best part? The guy driving it was about 70 years old with crazy hair, like Doc from Back to the Future. He gave me a thumbs up as he sailed past 😂 guy was in his element.

The Iris Blue used on 1994 964's and 993's is actually Iris Blue Pearl. It's a different color completely. Very close to midnight blue but maybe two levels brighter. Iris Blue on G-bodies was very light blue and has nothing to do with Iris Blue Pearl. I don't know why they used the same name in the first place.

Manual gearbox is slowly being phased out. Its cvt + paddle shift now because manufacturers believe it to be more efficient somehow 🤷🏻

@john m You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Do you have any idea of how expensive are our tolls here? I can tell you that for almost 350km I pay 25€, just on tolls. A simple 350km drive to the city I study on, I pay around 60€. Note that I drive a Mazda 3 BK with a 1.6HDi engine. Fuel prices are higher than in the UK, also. For comparison, our minimum wage is around 600€. Just let that sink in.

I think the design is less cohesive than before. The previous model had perfect proportions at the front.
Plus no adaptive cruise at this price!? The new Yaris has it as standard on every single model!
Not to be disrespectful of your opinion but, if you're buying this car and adaptive cruise turns you off it... you may need to reconsider if you actually meant to spend your money on a sports car.
@@hezron1997 Not really, for this price you'd expect all the bells and whistles but it's a jag and this is just a facelift in essence. It was meant to be a whole new model but jags are not selling that well. It's their own fault for chasing and trying to be like the Germans.

The F Type is a nice car. I drove one on a 778 mile (~1,250 km) road trip which including some mountain roads (video on my profile). It was a great car. The whole adaptive cruise control didn't really bother me. I was traveling by myself and even the convertible fit my dufflebag and bookbag just fine.
"Massive design changes" - Only noticeable difference to 99% of people are the headlamps.
It looks gorgeous though! So if it ain't broken don't fix it.

@Catfish Billy yes but I don't think he was being sarcastic right there, he makes it quite obvios when he is. Anyway doesn't matter, I love the way this car looks, the refresh is on point. The reason I said what I said because I thought this is a brand new model but Mat says number of times that this is actually a facelift which I find strange because the F-Type already had a tiny facelift in 2018 where they changed the head and tail-lights' details a little bit, it's rare that one model has 2 facelifts in its lifecycle

Even in my 2015 Ford Fiesta it‘s made out of aluminium... That‘s really a poor move from JLR...
The handles on the pre facelift models were much nicer.
My 2016 F type has aluminum door handles, although the paddles were plastic. One step forward and one back.

I should say that the recent review videos made on Portugal gives a nice background scene for the cars and video overall. The vineyard on the back of the Jag, superb. And by the way, being in the north of Portugal on the country side, the sounds you'll ear are, dogs and church bells. :)

This 2020 F-TYPE is beautiful. I hired the F-TYPE V6 380 AW in August 2019 for 5 days, and I had a hardon the whole time I was in that car. I also got a few bjs which made the driving experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Was gutted handing the keys back.

I own a Ftype and love it. Had an BMW i8 before it and he Jag is way more fun. A few things. This Jag is made to be driven I never used cruise control or cared too. Also is hard to tell if he put it in DYNAMIC MODE which makes a huge difference. Nothing has ever flew out of my door pocket ever.

I’ve watched a lot of F-Type reviews and no one ever mentions that you can click the gear lever over to the left (on my RHD car so probably the right on this one) and engage Sport (or mental) mode. This allows you to use the gear lever as a sequential shifter and it feels far more like a manual car than using the paddles does. Using sport like this along with dynamic mode is a hoot.
