Have you ever a quit a job and regretted it? What did you do?

No, I haven't regretted quitting jobs. But I regret staying on the job in my early career regardless of a lot of red flags. I should've left there earlier because things were getting worse.

Jennifer, in my book, people should only quit their job, if they REALLY have to. The best way ever, in my book, to stop toxism ever in any workplace, is to have everyone do a Sgt Weston of Lads Army, in the form of everyone sticking a bucket on their head, and banging it, if they have to listen to one another, or calm down.

@@Moose185 yeah if you are cool with the salary decrease. I was going to do that(went from trust accounting to payroll accounting) and wanted to go back. But I now had the knowledge of how much every realistic promotion would pay and I knew I couldn’t stay when I would make what would take 2-3 years minimum on a fast track promotion schedule in one role change.

Change is hard - we are not just quitting a job - we are quitting a toxic environment and once we are out of it, sometimes we can look back and realize how much we loved the job and the people - but that we just could not figure out how to manage the issues that became barriers. sometimes a mentor to help have the conversations that need to be had will help you save the job you want.

My toxic workplace that I needed to leave from ended on a very mixed note. One of my Managers was not supportive and said 'You're making a very big mistake.' Other people have said 'Oh, you'll be back in a few months.' This didn't sway me to stay at all! It told me in a nutshell how unvalued I was. I am sticking to my guns and I can't wait to start my new role in a new company with better prospects. I am hopeful that I can prove myself and well as my previous toxic workplace that my decision was the right one and can excel.

I loved & missed selling music so I took a job with a competitor that was open 11AM To 9PM paid the same & I started later & left earlier. Looking back , I did the right thing 😃. See Ya 👍

Boss making promises of promotions etc. just to make you feel good but not really happening in the near future.😌 Together with her favorite, they backstab others (left me wondering if they do the same to me, more likely yesss!!! 🤨). Worst they're all "busy" and just showing up when they need something done.🤔 When I quit (definitely quitting soon) , will not regret it for sure 🙏.

I quit my job because i found a new job. Then 1 week before i was about to it to leave my old job my new job called and said that they don’t have work at the moment and i have to wait a few weeks before i can start. I told them i’m going to look for another job because i can’t afford to not be employed.... Now i’ve quit my job for almost 3 weeks and i’m jobless and i can’t find another job that wants me. 😂

  • @relaxingsleepstudyaudio7378

I just quit my cashier job, my official last shift is this Saturday.
I’ve decided to work at a plant nursery until new year to get a change of environment and to work on my own stuff like my book and photography.
If by new year it’s not working out I’m going to go back to my cashier job with potentially the plant nursery on the side. My cashier job pays very very well for what it is, the plant nursery will pay me less but I need some flexibility for a while.
I have 9 months to figure it out.
I just want to add that me and my manager are 100% okay with each other it’s more of a company issue at this time, I have expressed an interest in coming back as a seasonal worker and told my manager I might come back in new year, my cashier job is across the road from my house so that’s the biggest benefit. It’s still on the books as a possibility as the plant nursery is certainly not forever but a temporary solution.
