    I got a new boss about 2 years ago. She was a terrible fit for the company and for me, but I repeated a gratitude mantra over and over, focusing as much as I could on the good aspects, her positive qualities, etc. (it was not easy, not gonna sugar coat it). I was able to "cope" until she was ultimately pushed out within a year. After that, the company decided they didn't need to fill that position again, so they gave the duties to myself and a coworker, we both got promotions and my current boss is amazing.

    Yeah, my boss does acknowledge the great job I do but she called my communication style a disease.... people leaving this job every week. I'm gonna plan my exit from next week. I worked for this company over 6 years and clients and other professionals don't have an issue with my communication style, on the opposite they are grateful support and knowledge I give them. I have communication quirks but it's definitely not a disease, it doesn't fall outside normal human behaviour.

    Hey there, so I retired at 65 and have been playing around with this fancy chat-gpt 4o thing. Well, let me tell you, after spending the last six months tinkering with it, I've come to a startling realization. If your job involves sitting on your butt behind a computer, answering emails, and joining a few conference calls each week, then you better watch out because AI is coming for your job, and it's coming fast. I decided to put this AI to the test. I fed it a prompt that included one of my biggest projects from my days at a tech company. This was one where I had a team of ten people working on it. Well, guess what? This AI whipped up something better than what my whole team and I produced in six months, and it did it in less than five minutes! Can you believe that? Eleven people working for six months, and this AI beats us all in a matter of minutes. Our customers thought our final product was excellent, but this AI took it to a whole new level. So, my friend, don't just sit there wondering if this AI stuff is a threat. Take it from me, it's real, and it's coming for your job. Don't be caught off guard. Prepare yourself.

    Learning how to separate different HR experts who used to work together is a skill. I always make sure my coworkers support me, and if they don't I make sure the coworkers in the adjacent department support me, so there is nowhere for the boss to reassign the work that I won't learn about it almost immediately. You should never talk to your manager, that way they can't create a paper trail because they have no way of finding the evidence. I always reject the performance improvement plan and start campaigning to everyone else in the building.

  • @JamesVestal-dz5qm
    @JamesVestal-dz5qm Před dnem

    When the entire team has low professional maturity, I recruit support from adjacent teams against the team. When coworkers don't have boundaries, I start recognizing patterns in their time and space perception. I never set boundaries, and I always understand my opponents behavior and habits. Lots of science and engineering companies have high turnover of employees. The strategy is to get the job and start creating a base of support before you get fired so you create a lasting impact on the company. Underemployment can be a useful perch to start manipulating the fully employed. I don't believe in bad managers, I believe in winning the election against perfect managers. I don't believe in fit, I believe in psychology and sociology. Always win the vote of your coworkers so they don't want to steal work from you. If we agree that the boss is a bad guy, we have to work together against the boss. I never worry about having my devices monitored because the police support me for President of the United States of America. You need to develop tools to draw attention to harassers and discriminators and educate other people that they are behaving like children effectively.

  • @JamesVestal-dz5qm
    @JamesVestal-dz5qm Před dnem

    When your boss is determined to fire you, there is an art to campaigning amongst all of your coworkers against them before it happens so they remember you. I had a lot of reputation when I graduated from rank 1. I had all the right homies help me study. I always avoid coworkers who believe in competition between coworkers, and I always campaign to coworkers who believe it's us versus the boss. You have to be your own decision maker, and you have to win the support of the coworkers who will protect you from the established powers that be from consequences when they become angry at your decision making. The best employee is the one who makes the boss look like a child to all of the other employees.

Everyone collecting negative feedback about me and only negative feedback. I learned that my team is organized in doing so intentionally. I'll take it up as bullying. What they don't know is I have hard evidence of intentional sabotage of my position. What I also learned that some people aren't wise.

    We aren't paying more for houses, we're paying for the overpriced land. What we should be doing is moving out of the cities and getting into trade work. Then we can build/plumb/wire our own houses on land that's actually affordable. That would of course involve living simpler lives mostly off grid though, which is never going to happen for most people. Heck, our so called benevolent "leadership" have made it all but impossible to build a structure on your own land if it's not up to "code" (i.e costs at least 500k). Only way to get around it is by living in a vehicle that doesn't fall under the regulations of a permanent residence. Either way there's no good way out of this now, things will get better some time after the civil war, when people realize how little they need to survive/live happily, and that we never needed anyone to tell us how to live or what to live for.

    When are people gonna learn, companies are building AI TO REPLACE YOU. Thats where the real money is at. Imagine a company building all these AI agents and AI robots, and having them all replace all humans in all job markets, and not just in one country but in all countries? Do you realize how rich that would make a company that achieves that? It would make Apple and Google combined look like a toddler. So then why would new jobs emerge in an AI revolution, when they’re building AI specifically to replace the human worker?!?!?

    I had the situation some months ago with my ex-boss, who has toxic tendencies. I even remember being blamed for accepting the other job offer - that's what just proved that I did the right choice. Even though the job itself was quite interesting (we cooperated with the foreign clients), the atmosphere of complete despair and fear, which seemed to never end, got me looking for something else. One more thing I also learned, that toxic bosses do not mostly reveal their nature at once. I remember my ex-boss to have started making offensive remarks after some months of works - then he behaved and talked to me as if nothing had happened and he hadn't told me anything offensive. The hardest time I had was the month after I filed my resignation: he tried to provoke me almost every day and I even remember having one of my job interviews during the notice time. He even told me "How you are going to pay your rent? You don't have any moral code" etc. The last time I saw him, he wished me well and even when "You'll probably return" - he said to my back. "I hope not" - I remembering answering then and escaping the firm with the speed of light. That's where I learned that even the most interesting job isn't worth being humiliated or manipulated. Even if the company is filled with "professionals" (who are mostly not - otherwise they wouldn't have to torment you), the toxic and incompetent ruleship should be stopped. Many of us want to be leaders but very few of us can be them. Therefore let us start the devour of such companies and do not stop their disappearance. I saw people working for such places for years and they all had serious problems with health and psyche too - thus, in our power is not in letting such companies function. P.S. What about getting each manager to check up for narcissism and other disorders? That wouldn't let them to take up any leadership role, as in my opinion they should be discharged from any leadership role and not to murder anyone...
