Looks really easy to install.I need to get a clutch like this.Saturday will be test day for me with my kayak.I keep watching your videos and thinking about how fast will I go.you have an awesome boat.
@@azlongtales I actually got to test out my 212cc kayak and it was too fast for that 8 ft kayak so I just need to buy a 10 or 12 ft kayak so it can hold the weight better.I might just end up getting a John boat so I can fit my family.

@@azlongtales I’m building a 12ft with the same motor, I was worried about the weight in the back. But I’m guessing now I’m gonna be ok now. Do you stand when diving?
@@azlongtales thanks for answering my questions. Really appreciate it. I’m thinking I’m gonna be ordering that clutch kit as well. Looks like it makes turning a lot safer and easier.
It always me with the bad vibes I see no reason for a clutch on a long tail It just something that might somehow fail not to mention it cost money If a boat was a wheeled vehicle perhaps a clutch would help But a boat is not Just idle down and pick theu prop out of the water This may well be new and innovative I wonder if the taiwanese run clutches on small on their small long tails I world find that hard to believe
It's not 100% necessary but it's pretty convenient. Especially for duck hunting with dogs. Obviously a direct drive will always have the best power transfer. But it definitely helps the learning curve with new people for using a longtail.

This is one of your best videos for sure keep it up excellent vibes great information
Going to change the game on longtail builds !
Yes it is lots of control!!!! Will bolt up to any brand of thai kit
The shipping weight was 10#!
Having that extra weight on back of engine helps keep the blade in the water
Excited for this one. Let’s go bud 🔥
Thank you my bro 😎 🙏
I like the addition of the clutch it might entice me to sell one of my outboards and get a longtail
You will be able to go alot more places than an outboard
Oh yeah that's going to be good.
It's a very good upgrade allow super tight turns and idling in the current easy

This is awesome! What’s the measurement coming off the face from the engine to the new shaft to connect the drive shaft to?
It seems like it extends it out like 4inches?
@@DuckalopeOutdoors that sounds about right
@@azlongtales awesome! If I got the room to spare with the way mine is made ima definitely get this. 🤙🏼
When you are running full speed is some of that sped up? If not you were hauling pretty good
Goes about 21-22 top speed 18mph cruising
That's great accesory for long tail sir. How much does it cost if you dont Mind? Thanks
$150 for the 7hp model
$185 delivered
Kansas 9/11/22
Do you know if that clutch works on 18 hp vanguard
Currently they only make one rated to 16hp max right now. Hope fully they release 22hp one in the future.
Hows the clutch holding up? Is the motor stock?
Doing great it's the stock predator 224
I ordered one. And am thinking of rebuilding the guts with a Hilliard extreme duty clutch. My motor is a Predator 212 building 12-13hp
I wish there was a clutch for the 420cc predator
There is a 8 to 16hp model check the link in the description
Would it work on a swamp runner longtail?
Yes it will
@@azlongtales thanks,I appreciate it

At what rpm does the clutch engage at?
At 7:25 you can see it it engages at a comfortable 2k idling at 1600 no problem
