JustAnswer Customer: tried shutting off power and water shut-off valve to the steam unit.
JustAnswer Customer: Think I wore out the shut-off valve because that doesn't even stop the water flow.
JustAnswer Customer: 10 years old
JustAnswer Customer: know im going to have to replace the shutoff valve!

Mike R.: Plumber: This may be hard to diagnose if the water shut off won't turn on.

Mike R.: Plumber: if you turn the power off, does an error code come up then?
JustAnswer Customer: no
Mike R.: Plumber: alright, with the power on, and the generator filled, is there a green light on the generator?
JustAnswer Customer: dont see a green light?
JustAnswer Customer: don't know if i have ever seen one on the generator?
Mike R.: Plumber: there might not be.
Mike R.: Plumber: it is an older model.
Mike R.: Plumber: I couldn't find the manual.
Mike R.: Plumber: Give me a minute and I will try again to find it.
Mike R.: Plumber: Alright.
Mike R.: Plumber: I was not able to find the manual so I will tell you what I know.
Mike R.: Plumber: The bad news first is it may be the internal float valve could be failing.
Mike R.: Plumber: This is not a do it yourself project and would take a technician to repair.
Mike R.: Plumber: About $250-$400.

Mike R.: Plumber: The next very very common problem is simply the buttons on the control are sticking.
Mike R.: Plumber: Once you get the valve replaced and can fill the machine and operate it, you will be able to assess if that is the problem by (still typing)
Mike R.: Plumber: fiddling with the buttons or even disconnecting the control at the machine.
Mike R.: Plumber: If the dripping stops you only need a new controller.
Mike R.: Plumber: It is siliconed to the wall so if you find that is the issue just take a putty knife and get behind it a bit and cut the silicone.
Mike R.: Plumber: The controller just unplugs from there.
Mike R.: Plumber: It would be one of those two issues for sure though.
