KING JAY haha .. anyone who seen prime moss knows when the hand comes up just throw it .... I'd take the 07 pats against anytime ever hands down the best team of alltime even tho they choked in the Superbowl.. here's a little did you know ? Randy moss was apart of the number 1 offense of alltime the 07 pats and the number 2 offense of alltime 98 Vikings... that 98 Vikings team was great with Chris Carter and Robert Smith and Randall Cunningham... we won't ever see another talent like moss in a long time .. by far the best and most explosive deep threat of alltime .. go watch them 3 touchdown catches against the dolphins in 07 I've never seen catches like that .. moss is the best receiver of alltime... He only had 1 great quarterback his whole career in tom Brady in 07 and moss had 24 touchdowns that year ... the 07 pats is the best team ever easily ...

Even if it's outrageous. Since you believe Moss ran 4.15, when and where did he run it and where is this information posted? Enlighten all of us.
You don't have to believe me, but I have logic on my side. All you have is the rantings of an excited coach. If Moss ran a 4.15 don't you think it would be reported somewhere? Stop letting your Moss fanboyism cloud your judgement. I'll let the pot shot go for now.

      I actively dislike this argument
He had Cunningham, George, Culpepper and Johnson on the Vikings and WAS breaking records
People act like he was a scrub that needed some great QB to unlock his potential, but he surpassed a all time great QB to do what he did, like he made Culpepper a great QB
Moss was thrown to and caught passes he had no business catching regardless of QB...look at the passes Brady threw to him in 07, if any rando QB threw those to any rando WR he'd be benched but Moss made every pass look spotless because he was good
The only thing keeping him from records was the fact he didn't play for 20 years like Rice, not the QB play or anything like that

He was so confident in his speed, he thought he was stride for stride with Moss. Hall is tracking, tracking, tracking the ball, then he saw the trajectory of the ball and probably said to himself "This is going to be an overthrown ball, there's no way Moss is that deep". Then he realized Moss had about 3 steps on him and said "Oh Shit!" and tried to pick up speed....Too late. Moss even slowed down and Hall still only barely touched him. that's fighter pilot range...of course...MJ was NOT doing the test while being subject to varies G's lol. This means, he can lock onto a target way faster than most...so more time to get his mechanics spot on
I say that to say, that if he had of done both Baseball and Basketball concurrently...instead of quitting baseball after high school...he may have been on Bo's level....but there aint no prizes for hypotheticals
based purely on freakshow...BO hands down....NOT just cause he played 2 sports at all star level.....but how he played it....man he ran up the wall like jackie chan or parkour guy just for kicks during a baseball game...
He can shoot...a bow an arrow with his feet and hit a watermelon at a reasonable distance away (This sounds like a myth, right?....go watch the doco...'You don't know BO?...he does it at the end..lol)
One thing MJ got on everyone though is a psychotic drive NOT just to win, but to beat and humiliate his opponent. Sounds like semantics, but it ain't ..and the will to win may seem like something all athletes have but it ain't

It's scary how big Moss and Johnson were compared to Rice but damn, even though Moss is this huge, speed freak, he ran some clean routes too. Plucked the ball out of the air beautifully. Moss, Rice, and Johnson really are generational talents. Not much else to say. Uh no he wasn't he ran a 4.37 40. Do you know how many DB's had quicker times than that? A lot. You noticed I said quicker. Because the 40 doesn't measure how fast you are. It only measures quickness and partial acceleration. Top speed is never reached in the 40. That said there are at least 14-16 DB's that have run quicker than 4.30 in the 40 let alone the ones who have run better than 4.35 and also not including the older players who were not clocked in the 40. So if you want to say that he is in the top 25 - 30 DB's ever then ok fine. He is in the top 25-30 fastest DB's ever.

    • @liveinlovealways
      @liveinlovealways Před 6 lety +10

      sydboski,
      1. We're clearly talking about *relevant* DBs, not players like Demarcus Van Dyke & Jalen Myrick who both ran 4.28s but are almost completely unknown besides that.
      2. Hall ran a 4.34 40-yd dash in the 2004 NFL Combine, which tied for 3rd-fastest out of all players that year. The only DB to run faster was a guy named Michael Waddell who ran a 4.31 (which was the fastest overall time).
      3. Surprisingly, the average time for a CB is 4.55 secs, so a 4.34 is pretty fucking fast.
      4. I don't know if you were even around when Hall was coming into the NFL, but he was widely regarded as the best CB in the 2004 draft - and they always talked about his speed.
EDIT: Also, you literally admitted that he's one of the top 25-30 fastest DBs of *all-time* ... That would certainly make him "one of the fastest DBs ever", considering there's been thousands upon thousands of DBs in the NFL. So what exactly are you arguing?

Jerry has a solid claim to be #1 for his longevity with HoF quarterbacks, but check this quote from Belichick: "During the Patriots' bye week, Belichick stated that Moss "is the smartest receiver he's ever been around. He compared Moss's ability to see the field and anticipate plays to that of Tom Brady, and to Lawrence Taylor, who Belichick coached with the New York Giants. He said Moss not only knows what he's doing on a play, but what everybody else on the field is doing as well. "That's what makes them special. They just have a sixth, seventh sense","

Imagine if Moss had Brady for 10+ years like Rice had with Young and Montana, two legends. Rice cheated by using stickem and admitted to it. Rice led the NFL in drops as a rookie. Moss was MVP of the league as a rookie.

Funny how you forgot to include the Patriots dumping Moss in his 4th season with the Pats, because Moss was washed at 33 years old. Oh by the way, the Patriots dumped Moss in 2010 and still went 14-2. And obviously Moss was never MVP as a rookie, or MVP in any season of his career, so you just made that up. As far as the numbers are concerned we can end this argument very easily. Let’s compare Moss’ numbers with the Patriots when Moss was 30-33 years old, and compare them with Rice’s numbers at the same age of 30-33 years old…

DeAngelo Hall talked better than he actually played. Randy Moss smoking this guy doesn't do anything for his reputation. Yet hearing DeAngelo Hall you would think that beating him made you a Hall of Famer.

I would still take Calvin Johnson. Because while he is not as fast as Moss; he is still pretty fast and CJ is a lot more powerful than Randy Moss. That is why he is able to snatch the ball away from defenders. Also Johnson is a pretty good blocker.

This video is misleading. Yes Moss is amazingly fast, by Hall didn't even start turning until way too late. Once they both got up to speed, it was pretty much equal. So yes he is fast, but it is also bad defense by Hall.
