*1. Front of heater facing away from you, you'll remove 5 silver screws from the back (3 on left side & 2 on inner top)*
*2. Then you'll have to slide off the top cover by pulling it inward towards you. (Back of heater facing you)*
*3. Once that's off, you'll unscrew 2 black screws on the left (now visible once top cover was removed)*
*4. Flip unit on side with the left side facing ceiling, this time you will slide the side cover off by pushing it away from you. (rear of heater still facing you)*
*5. There should be two wires with rubber casings at the head (more than likely braided red & dusty pink) & a dial like thing sticking out in between it.*
*6. Poke it, it doesn't click or make any noise. (Feel free to press it several times if you are unsure)*
*7. Reassemble the heater. (Fit on the left side casing) then prop it upright, 2 black screws from under the top, fit on top cover, 2 silver screws at the backs inner side, and then 3 of the left screws. Once you've finished these steps, stand up, do some stretches & last but not least plug in the unit & see if it's FIXED.*

These heaters are awesome. I have a 10 year old electric fireplace. The heat makes your eyes feel like they are on fire and the humidifier on full blast doesn't help. That's not the case with these types of heaters.
Someone commented that their fan was squealing. If that happens, try cleaning the filter. My manual says to do it every 3 months. I think once a month would be better, especially if you have pets.

I have a 26 foot and no slide using my second lasko ele heater with artificial flames. High or Low. I use my heat like you. From MD to NM and AZ over 5 to 7 years with NPS (national parks )before ordered second one. My only issue is using on H which I really dont have to even below freezing, kicks my electric off. On receptical with protection but turn off and back on my converter. Aware of what else running. Thanks for your video. I may pic up and try this. Thanks so much. 👍

Just ordered one of these. Different brand and only 4 elements but the case in the same as the one tested. I have an 7 or 8 year Source Green Heat with 6 elements. It's the kind in a wood cabinet with wheels. It's great. But can produce more heat than I need. I've never run that unit on high. So I figure this 4 element version should be large enough to add heat my Living Room as it's smaller than the bedroom where I use the other one. I love infrared quartz heaters. It's only kind I will consider buying.

I have a old ceramic heater I purchased in the late 80s which I think is basically the same specs and its only 6in. x 6in cube which is also used as supplement heat in a 28 foot camper. It seems to keep it warm except its fan is quite noisy ...so I guess I'm wondering if mine will do the same job at half the size.

    • @steiger256
      @steiger256  Před 4 lety

It would probably do fine. You would have to look up how many BTU it puts out. This one is around 5k at 1500 watt. 1700 at 1000 watt. 1000 watt heated camper no problem.

I have set mine on a carpeted floor many of times with no problems at all. I would have to check operating book to see if it was recomended, But the bottom does not get hot.

I got the same one. It’s a really good heater but ever since I bought it new from my bathroom because my restroom is always freezing but it’ll run 6 hours outta the 12hours that were up but some times it gets really hot I’ll shot it off then to turn it back on the switch in the back is gettin power but the screen is just black leave it unplugged for a week then she’ll work again , works great when it’s workin. Does anyone have this problem or has had this problem!?!? Please lemme know what I have to replace

*Model ZCHT1001US only: Infrared space heater reset (If unit was overheated)*
