- How To Fix Life smart 1500 Watt Room Heater: I got another one from Ebay and again it was a simple fix just a wire that was not installed at the factory. this is the second one that I have received like this.

Thanks Ron! Just got a tower model delivered today. Got home from work, opened the box, plugged it in and nothing!! Opened it up like you said and guess what? A ribbon cable was just dangling. Plugged it back onto the board and everything is working now! Thanks again! Subscribed!

i have the same one dude they work great for the tool room down in the basement you got lucky nice video i picked up a craftsman compressor off face book those 25 gallon for 15 bucks guy said it was leaking air from the pressure switch... all i had to do is flip the rubber gasket inside the check valve and wala fixed! some people don't want to bother like you said but thank GOD for us that do like fixing things.

I found a smaller LifeSmart ZCHT1075US 1500W infrared quartz heater inside a dumpster awhile back. The previous owner perhaps knocked it over as a "bite size" piece of the black plastic housing just to the right of the control panel is busted off. I simply covered it with silver thermal tape, and then colored it black. Something is loose inside. But it turns out that rattling only happens when the tilt safety cut-off switch is activated when I tilt it over while running. (important that works!) No rattling when shaken when held upright (therefore missing bitesize piece is not inside). But one of the three quartz infrared tubes inside is not working. I don't know whether the tube is defective, or whether is was knocked loose when it presumably fell. Either way, I have used it awhile, until I was satisfied it works OK and is safe to use with the other two working tubes. I will give it to the Goodwill. I hate needless landfill.
*Model ZCHT1001US only: Infrared space heater reset (If unit was overheated)*
*1. Front of heater facing away from you, you'll remove 5 silver screws from the back (3 on left side & 2 on inner top)*
*2. Then you'll have to slide off the top cover by pulling it inward towards you. (Back of heater facing you)*
*3. Once that's off, you'll unscrew 2 black screws on the left (now visible once top cover was removed)*
*4. Flip unit on side with the left side facing ceiling, this time you will slide the side cover off by pushing it away from you. (rear of heater still facing you)*
*5. There should be two wires with rubber casings at the head (more than likely braided red & dusty pink) & a dial like thing sticking out in between it.*
*6. Poke it, it doesn't click or make any noise. (Feel free to press it several times if you are unsure)*
*7. Reassemble the heater. (Fit on the left side casing) then prop it upright, 2 black screws from under the top, fit on top cover, 2 silver screws at the backs inner side, and then 3 of the left screws. Once you've finished these steps, stand up, do some stretches & last but not least plug in the unit & see if it's FIXED.*

I have the exact same heater it runs and puts out heat for 5 minutes then shuts off and locks up and shows an error code of a backwards 3 and then a one do you have any idea? thank you

I found one and sumone took off the power switch on the back. They just took the switch box off . N left the wires. Its looks new never used how can I make it work? Any suggestions?
Some times you will find them like that. I am thinking it was bad so someone took out the switch for safety, or they needed the switch? you can look on line for a new one but good luck they don't not sell much for them they are Generally throw away.

Mine keeps reading e1 and shutting off after a few minutes and Iv already cleaned the filter
Check the fan to make sure it is turning it may be over heating, that means that the thermo switch is self resetting.

It could be that the thermal switch, which controls the heating process, is loose, or the thermal paste is dried up. Look on the side with the power off. See if you can find a small disk-shaped item with two wires attached to it; it will be on the metal part of the heater. Try removing them and cleaning them. Some of them have thermal paste on them, and some do not. It has to be tight against the metal. Good luck, and be careful.
Are these heaters efficient?
It's November in the PNW for me and using two of these to heat a medium sized two bed apartment in the morning and night (not constantly, just as needed) our entire electric bill was $95. Last year, it was $180 using baseboard heaters, so I would certainly say they're efficient, even if you have to use more than one.
