@@lcy3877 we (chinese and pribumi ethnicity) never *forced* but we *chose* to use Bahasa as main communication language. Are U never wondered WHY Official Language not Javanese ( largest population) or Sundanese ( second largest) BUT we chose Bahasa Indonesia ( Malay language with Dutch and other languages influence ) ?? our *founding fathers* chose Bahasa as Main language because of History and for unity in diversity reason. Bahasa was *Lingua Franca* of Nusantara ancient Kingdoms long time ago, they use Bahasa to communicate between different Kingdoms and ethnics. Still until today many ethnicity (including Chinese) still use their mother tongue as their communicatio between their own, if you travel to Indonesia you will hear many different *mother tongue* still regularlly spoken (include Mandarin, Hokkian etc. of chinese ethnics). Talking About *discrimination* toward Chinese Ethnicity is a *political reason* created by old colonial and old goverment back than, today after *Reformation era* we had *diminish* most all discrimination toward chinese ethnicity, all Chinese have equality right in all sector. In real life we live in Harmony as long we respect each other. I think you too many watched or read 'mislead' and 'hoax' news 🤷‍♂️
