Reality is all dialects are dying out in Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore’s dialect decline is especially fast. We are losing our heritage…..
My father and his siblings/ family all speak hokkien but my younger generation(I’m 18 years old) can’t speak hokkien. I feel sad about this, as we are losing our identity. I sadly can only speak mandarin.

I just realized Singaporeans are so bad in Chinese. I once went to Singapore and asked a question in Chinese but he answered in Singlish instead, "Go la go la, don't stand here, time is money!". Later I took a cab and the driver said all Singaporeans can speak 5 languages fluently. At first I thought they didn't speak Chinese as they wanted to show off their Singlish, but now I know why they avoided answering in Chinese lol.

You must be using Google Translate which isn't 100% correct. In Chinese, there are other formal and informal words for penis. Nobody uses Yin Jing for penis in China.
