A lot of these companies were diversified in the late 80s and early 90s to private companies. Unfortunately, these establishments have also folded up. I remember there were some timber and sawmill companies in those areas.
Then again, Ghanaians in the diaspora, unfortunately are not interested in the productive and industrial sector. This is due to some of the bad experience some encountered with their workers when they ventured into such areas. I know some friends who tried poultry farming and crop production but eventually have to fold up due to dishonesty of their farm managers.
I think the industrial area should be revamped within the shortest possible time.If we cannot do it then there is no need to do i district one factory because those factories can also go through the same process.
we can turn here into our executive business district....this place could be the future of our beloved city.

Kumasi industrial area needs a little upgrading.
