I really appreciate the content and a dubbing in french could give a significant boost to the channel 🤔
Being bilingual maybe we could collaborate on this project 😊😉

Why trucks aren't convoying?for fuel efficiency

I hate when people say "you don't need horsepower to move heavy things you need torque" this separates the connection between torque and horsepower and gives the belief that torque is different then horsepower. Horsepower is a measurement of total energy output like kilowatts. Because torque is a static force it must be taken over time to figure it's output which is horsepower. Torque x RPM / 5252 =HP. An engine with less HP is less powerful plain and simple. If you need more torque you have to increase the ratio of engine to ground speed. So that means we need a transmission and we can modify our torque output with it. But an engine with more horsepower will always be able to put more energy into the vehicle for movement.

      Otherwise awesome video though!

Thats Partially true. That goes hand in hand with bore and stroke relitive to rpms and quality of fuel type being used.
      >Horsepower = how fast.
      >Torque = how much work gets done.
      >Transmission &deferential gear ratios = final say in completion of how much and how quick it gets done.

@@whysoserious7014that's what I was always told growing up. "HP is speed and torque is what gets you moving". But it's all a miss conception. Torque is a static force which means it's not moving. You can have 1000 ft-lbs of torque and 0 HP. You can not have the inverse. As soon as it starts to move we have work being done and that's measured in HP or KW in some countries. HP is the measurement of actual power output over time. Like in the equation I gave before. The engine does have a design torque and that does come from the type of things you listed. But the HP is also in that design by nature of it moving. If 2 engines, one small and one big(larger stroke) have the same HP output. Then the big one must rotate slower then the smaller one. By the nature of the big one having a torque advantage. The transmission modifies the torque output by modify the speed output. By combining combinations into a longer time frame (slowing down the output speed) we increase the torque multiplication. If we speed it up we lose torque but gain speed output. Correct me if I'm wrong if I remember right we do not effect the HP by doing either of these. Other then maybe losses in the gears friction and such.

So the trucks you see in the USA towing 2 trailers wouldn’t be considered a road train?
