"Diarrhea of an Unknown Soldier"
I mean a lot of them did get dysentery, so it's not that absurd.
😆😆👍👍
@@Thomas.Wright that gave me Oregon Trail flashbacks.
Dysentery was one of the biggest reasons men died in the Pacific Theater of WW2.
Don’t joke about that, it’s a very serious topic
True, but a song about it... Hmmmm
Literally no one:
Indy: CAWWW CAWWWWW
I love how they just added it in constantly. It's amazing.
8:00
Tommy: "well, it's a great song.........."
Literally everyone: *"AND THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED!!"*
nobody:
not even the winged hussars:
indie: AWK AWK
Absolutely lost my shit for like a minute that one time... I should have expected it, but I got Spanish Inquisitioned!
If you whisper ‘screaming eagles’ in Indy’s ear, he will go AWK AWK and will not realise
Indy: "I can also call down thunder."
I KNEW he was Thor!
Someone needs to edit in Indy's "AWK AWK" into "Down With The Sickness"
My thoughts exactly
It's already been done:
czcams.com/video/MpRvWwUBToA/video.html
Though have to agree Indy's random eagle impersonation is quite good and I'm surprised it hasn't been meme'd more.
I'm so glad no one is around me at work listening to me lose it laughing at the bloopers 🤣🤣🤣🤣
a s s h o l e
my favorite xD
I secluded myself in to the changing roomat work for this.
I wasn't that lucky :(
Oh is it because they think of you weird if you're laughing so much, Bex?
I am all for the Time Ghost slogan being “what the fuck are you doing in my living room?”
OK. Two things:
First, the constant repeat of Indy's AWK AWK had me laughing so hard that I had tears in my eyes and a cramp in my stomach. It was a great way to detach from what's been a severely hectic day, so thanks for that.
Second, the Velvet Jones impersonation, while maybe not exactly spot-on, was still worthy of an Academy award in my not so humble opinion. :D
Thanks for all the great stuff we've all been able to be a part of over the time this channel has been around, guys. This is sincerely one of my absolute favorite CZcams channels. Keep up the great work and we'll all see you when you're ready.
I was wondering who was gonna remember who Velvet Jones was! Happy you did!

6:07 😂😂😂😂 “FACK OFF”
-Oh he’s with us okay okay 😂😭
Best part of the Aces in Exile video!
indy should do a frosty metal cover with sabaton.
That would be fun :D
YES
Seeing Indy being so serious for 5 years and then this channel happens, I fell like it was his release of all the idiocy and mayhem he wanted to do on the great war
Man, it's hard to believe that all the songs are covered already (unless of course you do a basic calculation). It has become a weekly highlight every Tuesday for me and certainly for many others as well to watch the new episodes.
I'm looking forward to new content and especially regarding the upcoming album😏.
Tuesday??? It’s Thursday today!!!
Patreons get to watch the videos early on Tuesdays
What about mettalizzer all their covers and glorious land
@@felixgoodhew7723 also slopes of st. Benedict and the hammer has fallen.
@@BorislavVeselinov They already did Union (The Slopes of St. Benedict), but the name's in brackets, so it's easy to get confused: czcams.com/video/KRz8SQJAEMA/video.html
Sad to hear these weekly episodes are going to end, but i think we all knew this day would come. Although i am glad this is not the episode to end all episodes.
Tank you for all of the amazing content and can't wait to see you live once this pandemic shit is over!
It might come back when they get more and more songs.
@@sigma2653 That is what they said in the video.
Tank you? Nice hint!
I was waiting for more Sabaton History content, but then the Winged Hussars arrived and crushed my hopes and dreams about some new content
"Awk! Awk!"
Indy "eagle" Neidell
Farewell, gentlemen. Goodluck with the songs and with the future works and thanks for the fun with all those episodes, you guys made my youtube a little better. Can't wait to see more episodes on the future ;)
What about the cover songs ???
- Kingdom Come, In the Army Now, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Camouflage, Twilight of the Thunder God...
(So much History to "cover" )
those songs are for sure copyrighted and they might need permission from the owners.
I really want them to do camouflage.
They covered afraid to shoot strangers too
Well, if we are talking about covers don't forget "långa bollar på bengt"
Still waiting for Sabaton history on the song shadows. Where is the history of Middle earth?
YES!
Imagine a LOTR history song by Sabaton.
@@Thomas.Wright well yeah but that isn't related to Sabaton. Sabaton made a song LOTR called shadows but there isn't a sabaton history video about it that's what I meant.
@@zerg49er you realise they have a song about Lord Of The Rings called shadows...
@@george..... No, I did not. And thank you for telling me!
*Runs to find it*
The bloopers really made me laugh. I needed that today, so thank you.
Welp, this was inevitable... but still, thank you for the history lessons!
This became my happy place at the start of the pandemic. And then as it dragged on and got worse and all of our plans for the year canceled one after the other, this became the place where for just under an hour I didn't have to think about the nightmare outside my door.
I will look forward to new nerdy adventures and new music. Tack så mycket alla. För allt. I hope we will meet again. Very soon. \m/
I'm really looking forward to both the new music and the new episodes. Covid seriously screwed things up but I'm so glad we're not losing this! The flashes of previous episodes were awesome, tack så mycket!
Sabaton and Indy have literally carried me through a breakup of a relationship of three years and the depression that followed. Music heals and history makes your problems not seem so bad when you could have been at Gallipoli.
"Lazy bastards, well here I am"
IM WHEEZING
I've had the pleasure of seeing Sabaton in the U.S., Spain, Poland, and Bulgaria. Once the world recovers from the covid hysteria, I plan to see Sabaton in Sweden! Have you considered the Napoleonic wars, the U.S. war between the states (aka the Civil War), the Peloponnesian War, or the Punic Wars as album topics?
I think all of those would make for some amazing songs
Especially the United states civil war mainly cause I know most of the characters and stuff so I could think of some people they could make songs about
Holy Shit! Definitely the Punic Wars. I want a song for arguably the greatest general ever: Hannibal Barca, the Lion of Carthage
Civil War: a song about Gettysburg would be great. Maybe you could adopt some parts of "When Johnny comes marching home again"...
Add on Hundred Years War, American and French Revolutions, exploration and conquest of the new world. So many stories, so many songs!
In times like this, let us remember that profound and inspirational quote from August 2019:
"AWK AWK!" -- Indy "One Take" Neidell
Frosty The Snowman,
It's been two years.
We need it. 😭
It has been a great journey. And i cant wait to see what comes next for sabaton! Thank you for putting so much time and effort into teaching us.
This was a fun ride. It's hard to believe it's been almost 2 years now. Thanks for all the great content... and all those great bloopers.
My favorite part was every time they showed Indy doing his “awk awk!” Was when my dog sit up from her nap and look at me with serious confusion.
Would like an episode detailing the Carolean Death March and the Swedish army's exodus from Norway.
This is my favorite channel on the whole platform. It’s funny, it’s educational, and it’s metal!
14:47
Joakim: "Ring That Bell, Ring That Bell"
And then ...... THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVE------ I mean then The Last Stand song started. (Realy, play that song after the end of this video! :D)
So i was listening to the video and my girl friend showed up and said
-What are you listening to?
- sabaton history
- But I want cats
Soo any chance of sabaton cats until the bands makes new material?
Look at @sabaton_character_design on Instagram (if you have it) for literal Sabaton cats 😄
Aw, they didn’t add Joakim’s “gimme all your money” dance
That was one of the highlights of this channel tbh
What episode was that?
beatmetoit
Which episode was Joakim's dance? I need to know.
@@elliotttrzasko3528 sorry I’m afraid I don’t know for sure. it’s been reused a few times though
8:03 "Hello darkness my old friend"...
Love you guys!
Ah yes, our Commander in Cheese, Indy
wtf guys.. you just made my cry..
Thank you guys for all the history, and of course the metal! I discovered Sabaton in 2011 with Primo Victoria, introduced my brother to it the same year, reintroduced it to him with Bismark, and even got my wife into it with A Lifetime of War.
This is farewell, not goodbye.
In fact we're releasing a new episode this week
I lost my shit at the bloopers. I hope theres going to be something about the single coming out tomorrow
All the respect Sabaton earned from all sorts of people, be it church members, veterans or family members of those veterans, is unbelievable and must be humbling.
The screaming eagle is too much :DD
Thank you guys for all. This channel and its videos were (and will be) the best thing ever made by a band (right after music, ofc). For sure, history as a topic gave you a chance that no other band has. Still, Sabaton History channel was not an obvious outcome. As an archeolgist, Telling history for free, but in such a professional and still approchable and funny Way, is not easy. You made It, and so you showed us all of your passion. Once again, Thank you Sabaton, Indy and the Whole staff!
Sabaton says goodbye
Sabaton: And the Winged Hussars Arrived!
When the Caroleans arrive but you wanted Winged Hussars...................
As a Belgian, You're very welcome in every meaning of the word!
Happy 101st episode! Love that Verdun blooper and all the others!
I am so glad to see the bloopers. I have been watching this since the beginning. I hope to see new videos soon.
I said it before, as someone who generally hates heavy-metal, Sabaton I like. Probably because I understand their music and what it’s about. History is so awesome and they have found a great way of presenting it.
*There's always an opportunity for the Winged Hussars to arrive, IN your life.*
What are those tears flowing? I always get emotional looking back at things I love it seems lol. Absolutely incredible recap! Please, continue on as you did!!
Oh fuck, I'm gonna miss the weekly episodes. You guys got us hooked, congratulations for the amazing channel. As a Sabaton fan, and history enthusiast it always felt like this channel was made for me lol
Thank you for the amazing job, I'll be waiting for the future uploads on the channel!
Cheers from Brazil 🍻🍻
I'd love to hear Indy talk about Tolkien lore if the channel was to do a video about Shadows from Metalizer about the Nazguul
In the last episode, when you mentioned that you covered all regular album Sabaton songs, I actually went back to double check, because it seriously didn't seem real.
Looking forward to the content you'll release again in the future. I've really enjoyed this channel up to this point. Time to go back and revisit the episodes from the beginning
I love that Indy enjoys goofing around with the boys.
I remember back when I first checked out the Great War channel in late 2014, I felt he had a dad's sense of humor but I didn't think he would be such a goof off-screen.
I looked forward to a new episode each Thursday, and it will leave a hole in my heart knowing there won't be on every Thursday. But I'm happy to know there will still be new episodes coming in the future! Till we meet again! AHK! AHK!
Congratulations gentlemen on a job very well done. Sabaton and these videos have been a wonderful dose of normality in an otherwise train wreck of a year so thanks again for being my only link to sanity for a while. Länge Leve Sabaton!
Thank you for supporting our music and this project :)
Thank you Sabaton, for being Sabaton, for looking at history, and singing about Mankind's darkest struggles.
Here is hoping for more.
You guys are the best. Thank you for all the episodes. See you as soon as your able to tour again.
Thank you so much you guys! I look forward to watching the next video when it comes out in the future. I am sad that weekly episodes are over, but a pause was bound to happen at some point. I love your music, you guys are amazing!
Broken dreams so grand...
Spartacus: no no dont say
Joakim: Dick
Spartacus: that's fine
Joakim: dying

Also thanks for the likes!
I'm pretty sure that was Spartacus in the back ground
@@kg6tzq oh thanks!

1:49 Indy`s bizzare adventure - Sabaton is unbreakable
"Baptized in fire, 101!" :) Thank you for all the episodes done so far!
I'm just gonna believe that every AWK AWK was a different blooper and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Name a more iconic trio than Par, Joakim and Indy.
In all seriousness it's real sad to see you guys go, even if it's not forever. Thankyou so much for the journey and teaching myself and so many others so much about history. I love this channel and I love the music, but most importantly, I love the people and talent behind it all. Thankyou so much for everything, and remember, ES LEBE SABATON!
Well, the 500 years of the fall of the Aztec empire is coming up this year, maybe they can make something about that.
The siege of “The Alamo” would be a good somg
Proud to have supported the channel. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Can't wait to see the material based on the upcoming album!
Thank you for hosting such a great channel!
I am so happy that you guys kept bringing back indys eagle noise 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i love this channel, and I can't wait to see what happens next with this channel
You guys are funny as hell all the time. Thanks for all of the great episodes till now. I will be waiting in anticipations for the next episodes. Keep on rocking Sabaton and everyone from the Time Ghost channel as well.
3:18 i actually started singing lmfao
FAR FROM THEIR LAND AS THEY MADE THEIR STAND,
THEY STOOD STRONG AND THE LEGEND STILL LIVES ON!!!!
probably my favourite song intro EVER
AUGHK! AUGHK!
It's no exaggeration to say that Sabaton History definitely helped me get through this last year with my sanity intact, and I can't thank you guys enough for making as much content as you did. I think I speak for a lot of people here when I say this year would not have been the same without you. And if you're looking for other history video ideas, you guys have done a couple of cover songs, maybe use one of those to talk about the history of the band you covered, or give us the history of Sabaton with "Masters of the World"?
Whether you use it or not, thanks so much for everything, and I hope to see you guys in concert again soon.
PS: WHERE IS PAR THE LIONHEART?!
i love the last one because Joakim's laugh killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
9:12 is so fucking hilarious
What voice is this again? It sounds so familiar. The next one was Forrest Gump if I’m not mistaken.

Thanks for everything guys. I will be looking forward for your next adventures on CZcams. In the meantime, I suggest that we all watch every single episode of this channel again. I'm sure there are a lot of things that we will (re)discover in the light of the most recent ones. And maybe, we will have suggestions for the future... Best wishes from Belgium where you will always be welcome!
Forgive my English, I'm Brazilian, I always get emotional when I hear this song and when I research what our fighters did in Italy! I tell you, you didn't create just one song, you told the story that unfortunately here in Brazil is not told, unfortunately because most of the education network is against the Brazilian army.. I am and I will always be forever grateful that you have had this affection to tell our story! A hug directly from Brazil! COBRAS FUMANTES ETERNA É SUA VITÓRIA!! 🇧🇷🔰🐍🚬
Love it, the bloopers are just perfection haha
Thank you.
I knew nothing about Sabaton before the series started and now such so much more.
Just a little bit, a little bit more.
Can't believe this is (momentarily) the end. I've enjoyed it so much. Thank you guys for the history behind the songs. They gave every song an even more powerful feeling 👍🏻🤟🏻
I love Indy's blooper's, his accents are brilliant!
The only reason why I ever got into history was because of all of you gentlemen, thank you
I'm VERY thankful for all these increible videos. I've learned a lot! Including that the mating call of historians is apparently "caw caw".
Now, here's an idea: How about having guest metal bands and doing special episodes about the history behind their songs? History has been an inspiration for metal probably since the begining of the genre. It doesn't have to be Iron Maiden either, it would be very nice to feature smaller, lesser known bands. Oh, I know licensing and dealing with record companies would be hell, but, hey, here's hoping!
Damn is been two years already?
Time flies when you're having fun.
Can't wait to see more guys, keep it loud.
I feel like the editors had a good time with this video
9:32
Indy.. was truly, a screaming eagle
CAWWWW CAWWWWWWWWWWW
Still working my way through these amazing episodes! Very many thanks to all of you involved, you are all amazing!
My friends ask me why i love sabaton..well they make history interesting and kicked all the boring parts, plus the members are happy people and really enjoys of what they're doing, its like a contagion seeing them having fun and playful makes you happy too..i dont think if they understand that but no matter what they say or never agree with me ill stay a fan of sabaton forever..more powers to you guys, keep safe and thank you
We will miss our Saturday morning routine of watching Sabaton History, thanks for a great run! I know it’s not exactly historical but how about an episode about Camouflage?
always good to relaxe with 'The Sabaton History' channel, and 'The Music' of course.
I love all these guys so much, this is one of the greatest collaborations I’ve ever seen and a dream come true. My favourite band and my favourite presenter, words cannot describe my love for this series. Luckily there’s new songs in the works, can’t wait to see this channel return into my notifications soon ❤️
I can't believe I learned more about history from a metal band than from school, and I did IB. Can't wait for sabaton's next album and another dozen sabaton history videos!
I'll miss this being a normal occurrence
Thank you so much, it was a great ride. Can't wait for more. :)
