It's so hard to even begin to grasp even the simple idea of just how horrible it must've been for these poor souls. There are different ways to read about the events of WW2, but this one hits quite close. Also, Witold Pilecki, what an absolute trooper. Signing up to partake in one of the most hostile human environments ever (even if he didn't know just how bad it truly was). It's stories like these that makes me so happy to be a Sabaton fan, I'd likely never hear his story otherwise.

For me best song also changes every month. Currently my favourite is 1916, before that Royal Guard (Livgardet). Before that was the Attack of the Dead man and so forth.

The Bulgarian troops could have entered Greece and cut off any possibility of a serious offensive from this front, but due to the failures of Austria-Hungary with Russia and Germany with France, the Allies decided to make a defensive line with which to attract parts of the Entente. Their plan succeeded, but the price was paid by the Bulgarian troops, who were misled by the German and Austro-Hungarian promises. The Bulgarian troops are not materially prepared for a prolonged war, which is why the Germans' plan for defensive lines is disadvantageous. 1917-1918, the Bulgarian soldier is without provisions, walks barefoot and freezes in the trenches. The first world war ended the European domination of the world, the effect of the second world war is a defeated Europe, which to this day licks its wounds and is under the control of the victors.

My metal journey started with Evanescence, then in my late teens I heard Nightwish’s cover of The Phantom of the Opera. From Nightwish I branched out into classic metal with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica and many others. Then in 2019 I came across the group Minniva, who do covers of metal songs and metal covers of other songs, including several by Nightwish. I heard their covers of The Last Stand and The Lost Battalion. The tracks were good and I researched to find out who made the originals. I found out they were made by Sabaton and I read an article describing them as “the History Channel turned up to eleven”. I listened to the original tracks, enjoyed them, then I heard what was then their latest release Bismarck. I WAS HOOKED!!!! 🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘

So I went to my first Sabaton concert Sunday. They opened up for Judas Priest. They played Carlos Rex. I love that song, I'll have it on repeat while I'm at work. Now I have heard it a couple of times in Swedish. But when they song it at the concert in Swedish it kinda threw me off for a bit. But I was able to catch up with them and sing along. 🤘🖤

My Grandfather lost 4 of his brothers in Korea they were part of the Surinam division of the Dutch delegation to the UN peacekeeping mission in Korea, 7 of his brothers were sent there, only 3 came back, it was heartbreaking to hear him say that he can't even remember their faces... He was 16 at the time and therefore too young to be sent there himself, later in the 90's his youngest cousin, my uncle, was sent to Bosnia

Hai ! I know its probably too bold or maybe not entirely right place to do so,but.. i love Sabaton and what they do. Therefore, can i please suggest two topics from history that i feel are a bit overlooked ? Plus as a Czech it would mean alot to me if this got a bit more attention : Assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in Prague by Gabcik and their heroic last stand. Second : The so called Three Kings and their antics and fighting against german occupation - How one of them made a bet with SS officer that he will get him to light his cigarette - and actualy won ! Anyways, do keep up the good work. Love the band and the history !

I just pulled off a simular menuver as a Mandalorian Knight in the Star Trek Universe. Strangely, although deep behind enemy lines, I have no idea how I got to an abandoned system, nobody knows anyone is in that system, except my Star Trek Knight Allies freaking out at me asking randomly for reinforcements after figuring out what I just did, and where I am. It's nice that you devoted an episode to the history of this cavalry formation. It's not even about the fact that I'm Polish and I'm glad that the quality of the Hussars (ussaria as their contemporaries used to say) is appreciated - its history is simply very interesting. The entire history of Poland, or more broadly of the Polish Lithuanian- Commonwelth or Rebublic of Two Nations, especially the wars of the 16th and 17th centuries, is fascinating. Who am I missing? We fought with everyone:) Sweden, Prussia, Tatars, Moscow, Turks, Cossacks, Hungarians, Moldova. And to make it more fun - many members of the mentioned nations also served in the armies of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, alongside Poles, Lithuanians and Ruthenians. And of course, mercenaries, many Scots, Dutch, Germans, etc.

This is the the first sabaton song I ever heard and I'm happy I did because if I hadn't when I was younger I probably would have missed out on this amazing band so this song will always hold special place for me
