  • We will go through 24 different ways in which Jesus fulfilled the Jewish Feast of Passover. Passover was given by God in the Old Testament and fulfilled by Jesus in the New. I hope this teaching stirs your heart with appreciation for the brilliance of the Bible as well as the incredible, loving self-sacrifice of Christ for our sins. He is our Passover and we are forgiven because of His offering.

This is first year my family & I have observed the Passover with the Truth of Jesus being our Passover lamb. God’s given me SO MUCH revelation about Christ & the Passover. We are called to celebrate The Biblical feasts today - they are a part of God’s heart. We as the modern church have grown up without the richness found in the word. The first 4 were fulfilled by Jesus, and the rest are yet to be fulfilled. That’s relevant to us! 🙌🏻 Jesus said He came to FULFILL the law, NOT to destroy or do away with it. Paul said in 1 Corinthians. 5, “observe the feast”. We’re called to be celebrating these biblical feasts with a focus on Christ, and an expectation of His coming. Blessings guys!

    • @christiroseify
      @christiroseify Před 2 lety +10

I think you are taking "let us observe the feast" out of context. Paul is talking to them about sexual immorality in the church. The context illudes to sexual acts being conducted during their feast celebration and Paul is telling them not to celebrate the feast as they did in the past with the leavening of fleshly pleasures, but through the spirit of truth and sincerity which is the Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus.
So he is saying If you are going to observe this feast do it truthfully from the spirit not from the flesh pleasuring yourself.
Not as a command for all to observe.
The Jews observe the Passover in waiting for the Messiah, still in bondage waiting for deliverance.
Christians celebrate The Last Supper, Resurrection Sunday, freedom from bondage. It really is two different things. They are both parts of the same story, but not the same motive or outcome.
It's one thing to learn and understand the times and practices and its a whole different thing to intermingle them.
I see a disturbing trend of new age Christians trying to bring the feasts back into play to the extent of saying to others, "if you love God you would want to keep His feasts". Christians digging up the bones of Judaism and forcing them into the joints of the Body of Christ.
Forgive the metaphor but in my opinion, every time the Jews celebrate one of the feasts, they are nailing Jesus to the cross and digging Him up before He could be resurrected. Every time they celebrate Passover, they are crucifying Him again.
How hurt and angry must God be to watch The Lamb sacrificed repeatedly year after year with no resurrection acknowledgement???
Back to the point, We really do have to decide what is true. Is it complete as Jesus said, or are we to sacrifice a lamb every year?

@@christiroseify Paul celebrated the feasts even after Christ came and went into heaven, that is biblical. There is nothing that says they were to stop being celebrated, NO WHERE.
The Jews don't even sacrifice lambs anymore since the temple was destroyed so on Passover they have a lamb bone they have as a symbol, most of the time its just a little turkey bone they keep for years to use LOL. There aren't any levitical priests performing sacrifices anymore, the Jews have fallen into Judaism which is mysticism that your good deeds out weigh your bad and they follow the teachings of the Talmud and Zohar the oral tradition of the Pharisees they deny Messiah and think He was a heretic, its down right blasphemy.
Being a Christian and celebrating Passover is beautiful, its a meal we can share with others and talk of the prophecy that Jesus fulfilled and remember the last meal Jesus had with his disciples, have bible study in Exodus with Moses, and much more.
Resurrection Sunday is a Roman Catholic day of the sun that was instituted for sun worship and is on the first Sunday after the first full moon of the equinox (the occult celebrates the equinoxes). It has nothing to do with Christ (despite how it makes you feel) and ACTUALLY IS bondage to the world because you celebrate it the same day every year just like other instituted occult holidays like: Christmas, Easter, Thank giving, Valentines Day, Halloween, etc. All days Christians should NOT celebrate and are Anti-Christ.
Passover moves according to the moon cycles and the "signs" God gives us in the sky to read and know the times, so every year its on a different day, per the bibles instructions. Meaning that the resurrection of Jesus on our calendar (Gregorian) is on a different day each year (based on Lunar, biblical calendar). It is 3 days and 3 nights after the Passover thats how you calculate it and celebrate Jesus' resurrection if you choose to do so (He never instructed us to on a specific day)
Celebrating Passover over doesn't re-crucify Jesus, IT IS FINISHED He can never be "re-crucified". Jesus asks us to do this (break bread together) in "remembrance of me"....
You aren't going to hell for NOT celebrating Passover and you are certainly not GOING to hell FOR celebrating it....Its a gift and it helps you grow in your relationship with Jesus. You can choose to not celebrate it if you don't want too, its not mandatory its just going to hinder your relationship.
For example, if its your wedding anniversary and you don't eat with your wife...she is going to be like Oh...Okay...probably not the best for your relationship 😆
Anyways, celebrate it or don't there is no harm in it, the only harm are those who celebrate it and deny Messiah

Thank you for including the part about the afikomen; that's probably the most powerful part of the seder meal. A couple notes for you on that: 1) It's my understanding that the afikofmen must be contained in a linen pouch, which would connect with Jesus being buried in linen; 2) In the Haggadah that my family uses when we do a seder, the instructions say to hide the broken afikomen and then later have the children go find it -- that seems a clear picture of Jesus' body being buried in the tomb and sought after by his disciples.

Yeshua the Messiah fulfilled all the commandments in order to be a worthy sacrifice, whose innocent blood like that of a perfect lamb will cover all our sins forever so that the Second Death will pass over our souls. We will still experience the First Death (temporary death) but will be saved from experiencing the Second Death (eternal death) & have eternal life instead. She took him to a Christian/Jewish Seder. He said all of a sudden the matzoh part of the ceremony jumped out at him as being a foreshadowing of Jesus' death and resurrection. And it wasn't that the Christians changed the way the ceremony was done. He would have caught on to that. No, it was the way it had been performed by Jews for centuries. It was how incredibly the symbolism pointed to the Jewish Messiah who was broken, hidden (in death/burial) and then brought forth again. That was when he became a follower of Jesus.

Mike i love this teaching. I started really learning about the Pesach and the foreshadowing of Holy week when i was 17 and read in Psalms the lambs bones should be unbroken and how that was fulfilled when the soldier didn't break Jesus' legs bc he was already deceased. I cannot believe how much theology you can miss if you don't study. There's just so much. I love it. It's so exciting and give so much validity to the scripture!!!!

Mike, today is the Easter Eve 2024. I have been very troubled in my spirit by a variety of reasons and circumstances but this afternoon, I stumbled upon your presentation on the 24 ways Christ our Passover Lamb fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy. It has kept me riveted for the whole evening and I am going to repeat your thorough presentation tomorrow. Thank you for bringing this powerful message into my mind and heart - and literally brought me freedom from the sins and burdens that have plagued my heart over the past few months. I thank you from my heart, dear brother Mike. ‘…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’(Rom 8:37).

There were so many connections I had never made like; the examination period of the lambs and the trial of Jesus...wow!
And I always appreciate being reminded how Jesus is my unblemished lamb...the way you described it though, made me see it in a new light. The people were forgiven based on their unblemished lamb, perfect & in its prime, not on themselves...so simple, but the way you put it really struck me in a new way. Thanks so much!

      True!
We must follow the Ten Commandments and what Jesus the Messiah said about the greatest commandment. Matt. 22:36-40 .
As for the other laws pertaining to offerings made to Yahweh and celebration of Festivals, Hosea 3:4-5 and Jeremiah 31:33
      gives insight.
      Hosea 3
      4
For the Israelites must live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, and without ephod or teraphim.
      5
Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days.
      Jeremiah 31
This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.

and they will be my people.

I married a Messianic Jew and for the past 4 years we've observed Pesach. Every time we go through the tradition, I find something new that points directly to Christ. This year it occurred to me that Christ would offered the 3rd cup (cup of redemption) when he spoke of the new covenant. however He wouldn't have taken The fourth and final cup (cup of praise) which symbolized the joy of freedom as the Israelites reach the promised land; Jesus said He will drink it new with us in the kingdom

We've always celebrated Passover and the other Jewish holidays with them, but this year, we're choosing to celebrate Good Friday with our church instead of celebrating Passover with our family. Needless to say, they're angry and hurt. But so much is becoming clear about the unbiblical way they celebrate Passover and how they understand Judaism in general. This is so helpful. Praying that we lead our children correctly in God's word and ways. Thank you for your teaching.

You will be surprised about how much of the foods and traditions point to Christ. I am not Jewish. However, my husband and I are learning about the Biblical feasts and how they point to Jesus. It has so much more meaning than Easter and Christmas! We have decided not to celebrate these two holidays but are choosing to observe and celebrate the Biblical feasts.
