    Sadly, these folks are leaving us at such a rapid pace, they are so missed.

    Love Windmills. Our Family made Wolcott windmills in Albion, Michigan years ago (before my time). The patterns were still in storage until the 1980s. Since then they appear to be lost forever. The Wolcott windmills were at one time all over the USA and in many other countries and on several different continents.

    I'd really enjoy stopping by this man's farm imagine the story's and knowledge from days gone by, I'd even enjoy working on the windmills with him, lost history of harnessing the wind to pump up water, schools should run field trips out to his farm to teach the young folk about this wind energy and im sure this man would enjoy, teaching the kids. Great upload guys👍

    This was mistakenly noted as being in Earth, Texas. It was in fact Spearman, Tx. He was my grandfather. Yes, he is greatly missed!

    Back in 70s we enjoyed staying with the Buchanans. They loved Jesus and hospitality. J.B. donated one of his prized windmills to the Smithsonian.

    Sadly a lot of city councils have passed ordinance to keep you from putting one up on your property. You could hook one up to a generator and save on your electric bill.

    • @JM-yx1lm
      @JM-yx1lm Před rokem

      Makes sense because why would you need one inside city limits?

    • @randyrhyne1195
      @randyrhyne1195 Před rokem

      @@JM-yx1lm Because you can turn a generator that you can plug into your house. I’ve seen people generate enough electricity to sell it back to the power company. I’ve actually seen a meter going backwards. Imagine going on a vacation and coming home to a credit on your electric bill. Windmills can be a very good investment if you live in an area where you can have one. Some cities in cooperation with the electric companies have made it illegal.
