If a person dies without repenting of his “shirk” then he/she is bound for hell but his / her door of repentance is open till their death ! And yes the word “shirk” should not have been used , it’s a specific terminology used for Allah SWT !

Being a muslim you already know there is one God, the one supreme leader if you knowing this then put another on the same status then that’s shirk and there is no repentance for that. Non whatsoever!

Firstly, the "shirk" dialogue happens when Danish's friend asks "why is it that women can forgive men while men can't do that. we need to set an example that here's a man who has forgiven his wife". And then the shirk dialogue happens as a response to why women can forgive and men can't. So technically, cheating on a wife isn't equal to shirk but cheating on your husband is?
Secondly, for believers, the word shirk can only be used in the context of God. And no man should claim that his partner committed shirk in the relationship because by saying so he automatically puts himself superior to his partner. Mind you, shirk is not synonymous to cheating. Shirk is a term that is specifically used when a worshiper isn't loyal to his creator.
And lastly, Kalil ur Rehman previously used the same argument in "Zara yaad Kar" where the philosopher mother schools her daughter by saying that "just like God, a man also acts as a protector but does not forgive shirk" .
So please don't give Khalil ur Rehman the benefit of doubt.

In both Alif and MPTH.. two very wrong dialogues have been used abt Allah's forgiveness. Atleast consult someone with knowledge, before using such dialogues. Although, its also common sense but still somehow they are getting it wrong. Allah forgives all sins including shirk as long as a person asks for forgiveness and doesnt die in a state of shirk. If there was a sin which Allah would never forgive then this life would be meaningless and hopeless.. 🤦‍♂️

On that 'shirk' dialogue, I think I agree with Amna absolutely that the use of word 'shirk' was very offensive as this is used for Allah only, by the believers; for us 'shirk' is worshipping someone else than Allah. Using 'shirk' was as if we are equating the Allah with that man, it could've been much much better if they've used 'muhabbat mai sharakat'. 'Muhabbat mai sharakat toh Allah b maaf nhi krta, (insaan kaisy krskta a)" It is not as offensive as the word 'shirk' is.
Mehwish has done 'muhabbat mai sharakat' but she definitely hasn't committed 'shirk'.

  • @umami2021
    @umami2021 Před 4 lety +9

I am with Aamna on the shirk dialogue. Our relationship with Allah is one of worship, obedience and acceptance of Him as our Creator whereas our relationship with another human is one of partnership, equality, romance, sexuality, Therefore to compare shirk with Allah ( to say one worships a second being) to that of shirk with a human (one sharing their love/ romance etc with another human) is completely wrong!
I'd like to Imagine what the reaction would be if this dialogue were said by a woman about her husband. Is it that kind of "shirk" if a husband married twice (assuming he can do both justice) and therefore unforgivable???????

  • @MuhammadIbrahim-cf1yr

Great reviews as usual guys 👍👍
Here is my opinion abt the qs u put up in ur review:
    1) Ehd e Wafa: I completely agree with Hasaan abt the character of Saad " too good to be true" but Ahad's performance makes it as likable as possible. 😊
    2) Alif: Yes, Hassan second ur opinion regarding the attitude of Momina's parents. In the start of this episode, Sultan offers to pick Momin's luggage as a kind father would do and they are naturally concerned abt her wellbeing, it's just that they find it very hard to digest the death of their only son at such a young age, which I find quite realistic.
U guys should also praise Hamza and Manzar Sebhai's acting in particular. They are exceptional!!
    3) MPTH: This time I second Amna's opinion, though Hassan justified his opinion greatly. " Shirk" with reference to "Allah" is a very huge and powerful thing to say. U cannot most definitely say this as a joke or for something like human relationships. Yes, Mehwish broke the bond of sanctity of her marriage, even went so far as to commit "Shirk" but is this sin as unpardonable as the sin of associating partners with Allah??
That's my opinion abt this dialogue. Open for debate...

By using word 'shirk' he is not comparing himself with Allah. Shirk is just an arabic word. For God sake don't make this word sacred. It just mean 'to join partners'. Here there isn't discrimination also on gender. If husband also do the same mistake wife has the right to do the same. But again if I have to voice my thoughts any person who cannot forgive his/her partner or any person, it is the person itself who suffer a lot rather the person who did wrong. That why we say 'Maaf karne wala bada hota hai'. Because one who forgives will become selfless and is more pious and He/She doesn't have any more ill feelings towards that person.

This episode of MPTH was a bit confusing and had some meaningless moments. To begin with Maham, who once slapped and threw out her hubby's mistress, came to meet her. In my opinion, this confrontation scene was unnecessary. It's not as if Maham came to insult Mehwish but she insulted herself. The question remains: Why is she having the soft corner for Mehwish, who ruined her home and offering her money as the 'salary' for staying with Shehwar for 5 months???With due respect for the writer, Mehwish didn't share the status of Maham's, as she was merely the lust object for her sweet hubby. Secondly, why just target the woman alone for infidelity? Since there was also a man who was disloyal to his wife. So there has to be an equal punishment for both. After all the fiasco, Maham still wants her husband back and claims her money(The salary) as Shehwar's! Too much confusing. As for the end of the play, Mehwish won't die or be killed, as she already attempted to commit suicide. Apparently, she seems to have no regrets for what she did to her family. For her ex-husband, why is she so possessive? Coming back to the most contradictory line of Shirk, it seems as if Humayun is a demigod or something to say such a thing. Comparing himself with the God is absolutely worthless, as he is only a mortal. Danish and Hania's relation might not be a better choice as this gives a negative thought, like Mehwish left her husband for Shehwar so in return, Danish got married to Hania(as a part of taking revenge) and moved on. What is going to happen in the last two episodes is partially predictible.

In my view the dialogue,” shirk tu Khuda bhi maaf nahi kerta,” in the context of accepting a woman back by a man is totally senseless and thought less. It’s like equating a human, a man with Allah. Infidelity is difficult to forgive for both men and women and it’s their prerogative whether they forgive their partner or not. Shirk is not allowed only in case of Allah. For a woman 3 shareeks are allowed . Women cannot have more than one man at a time because of paternity issues of children and not because of some superiority of men. Also Danish did forgive mehwish in a previous episode through Salman. He cannot have Mehwish back because he divorced her and Mehwish was not married to Shewar. Simple! Writer is being philosophical for the sake of it. I also agree with Amna and I do not approve the use of the word, SHIRK.
Another point. Why did Maham say that Shewar was giving her money every month? Wasn’t it her business and house? So she was getting profit from her business. In fact Shewar was living off her. Enjoying luxury at the expense of her business and living free in her house.

Amna was saying he was comparing himself to Allah SWT, though It's not about man comparing himself to Allah SWT rather degrading himself and quoting the highest & most merciful. Truth is Humans don't forgive easily but Allah SWT does. That's it!

It's his arrogance to use this specific word to test boundaries of acceptance by the viewers. The literal meaning of shirk (sharing) cannot be used in any other context than with God. To clarify my point, I give another example. The word Raaziq is also specifically for God. Such words cannot be used in any other contexts.

I watched one of his interviews. I was aghast at what he said!! The man is a complete misogynist and totally removed from reality! It was very unkind and unjust of him to conveniently absolve men from the blame of extra marital affairs by saying " aurat mein na karne ki salahiat hoti hai , mard mein nahi". With one sentence he put the entire burden of guilt on women and gave men impunity. It's appalling to think that male chauvinists, who never miss any opportunity to pull out their superiority card , their power card, their brawn card (essentially , their masculinity card) will pull out a "weakness" card and use it as an excuse to finding themselves incapable of saying"no" to women. How convenient!!! How clever!!
He further said " jab mard bewafai kare to ghar kharab hota hai aur jab aurat beeafai kare to nasal". Again he seems to be living in a bubble of his own where he seems oblivious of the ugly and stomach churning effects of the evils men inflict. How come he hasn't noticed that the effects of their evil deeds reverberate for generations too. If only he paid more attention to the cruelties men carryout (and are capable of), he would be less of a misogynist and more of a misandrist.
And his ultimate arrogance and ignorance is too visible in the shirk dialogue. How dare he attempts to raise the status of a petty human being ( in this case a man) to that of Allah. JUST HOW DARE HE!!!As far as I am concerned, he's the one committing shirk by writing such dialogues.
