Dear Amna and Hassan, I am interested in knowing how and when did Something Haute happen and how did you two discover each other? Did you expect that you two would make such a great team? I would want you to do an episode about SH and yourselves , like you do interviewing actors, as you have become celebrities yourselves. I started watching SH a few months back and immediately after the first show I subscribed, although I do not normally like to subscribe and have just 2 to 3 other subscriptions. Now I have made my husband watch HS and he thoroughly enjoys and agrees with your comments, funny and serious. HS and your team is an instant hit with anybody who watches it .KUDOS!👏👍

Director beautifully knows where to put Sitaar, where to the lyrics and other music as well. I think MPTH is standing at four pillars, which are: Script, direction, acting and background music.

OhmyGOD YES! I was SO offended by that “aurat shak karay tu hansi ati hai, Mard karay tu rona” especially because it is reflective of how our society treats the issue too, cue my pet peeve in (third-class) Pakistani comedy where husbands are cowering under wife’s suspicions and it’s “funny” when they flirt or try their luck at other women. Misogyny alert.

    • @sairafatima85

Its cuz some women have a habit of doing a Shaq or saying it jokingly. Like wives will say to their husbands us aurat se batein krahey kya chakar hai and it will b laughed off cuz she wont mean it seriously but if a man says the same thing to his wife the wife will get offended

For example, if husband is having an affair they try to work out things. However, if a wife is having an affair, most of the the time it ends in divorce.

This in itself is an achievement for any drama. I, and I am sure many of the viewers, never get bore of the spiritual conversations which Momin has with Dada and they are important for the story to progress.

Speaking of “Alif”, Amna you said that they’re dragging the conversation between Daada and Momin ... it’s because his grandfather is reminding him and he will continue to give him reminders until he realizes that he’s on the wrong path. It is because Momin is in denial so his dada has to remind him to bring him to that realization. That’s how it works if it’s not done consistently and politely, it usually has no impact because those who need it most cringe whenever a reminder is given to them and avoid it like the plague and the truth settles in slowly and steadily. Thought I’d let you guys know. 🙂 ... Quran 51:55 “And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.”

    MPTH :
I would have appreciated if KRQ had shown a female child siding with the father. That would have balanced out a lot of lopsided critique of genders that he presents.
I would like to rephrase what Hassan said :
If a Mard has haya, he will respect every woman irrespective of her attire.

Najia Nazir KQR definitely has an agenda against women so he probably wouldn’t have shown a daughter 😉 in the dramas I’ve watched of his the woman is always bewafa or cheating or not liking the man for no good reason

I think in ishq zahe naseeb, the lady who predicts to gohar, that your first husband will die, maybe it meant that gohars presence will get rid of the dual personality of sameer, n Sameera part of him dies, n it’s just sameer in the end n they truly fall in love and it’s a “happily ever after” for sameer n gohar.

I think this was hands down the most impactful episode of Ishq Zahe Naseeb. Wonderful performances by both Sonya, zahid and even yumna. And I don't know why people ask you to praise zarnish, I feel like she literally overacts and has a weird accent. Even in mohabbat na kariyo show she has acted the same.
And Sameer cannot be shakras illegitimate child since no mother would do that to his own child. I think she just took revenge and he's suraya begum's son. I hope they can wrap up the show in an epic way and not leave the audience frustrated. I want Sameer and goher to have a happy ending.
They should focus more on Goher helping Sameer with his mental illness so our audience gets educated more regarding this illness. Kashif, donia and jahangir scenes are pointless now.

If anyone has seen Saat Pardon Mein (Sohai's first drama), must remember that the disassociative personality disorder was portrayed in that drama for the first time in Pakistan. Ali Khan used to dress in a pink saree at night and put makeup on and his friend(meekal) suggested him to talk to a girl as a solution for this.

These are lovely conversations which I greatly enjoy each week. Thank you to the entire team of SH. Regarding Alif, in my personal opinion, it isn't the usual run-of-the-mill entertainment, it's an acquired taste. I like that there are dramas that have messaging which don't package it as an art form which promise to entertain while holding my hand and teaching me a lesson at the very end. As it aptly mentions in Alif that it's a momin who loses their right/true path, and what's also interesting to note is that one of the roots of the word 'insaan' in arabic comes from something that needs a constant reminder as it tends to forget. So I like that Alif serves that purpose, perhaps a higher one than that of just delivering pure entertainment. However, I do see why some may think it's preachy but it's suits some of us fine. :D Thank you for reading my comment.

Believe me, the moment I watched that slap, the first thought that had crossed my mind was the glee and the joy I'd get to watch on Amna's face 😊😊. I was eagerly waiting for this episode of #SomethingHaute .
It's the best review show on the net and the chatter, banter and the easy camaraderie you both share, is wonderful to watch.
Shahwar wants Mehwish as only his toygirl, he is not in love with her, he's in lust with her. That's why he's denying her the joy of motherhood by being hesitant in inviting Rumi to his house.
The reason Haniya's sister rightfully indicated that she's a Balaa devoid of Hayaa, is justified as she knows Mehwish had left Danish and Rumi for nothing but money and a cushy lifestyle.
Feels great to watch this phenomenal serial and look forward to the review of it eagerly.
    Love from India. ❤️❤️
