This flight was challenging, scary, but so beautiful and fulfilling. With 28 liters of gas and 5.5 hours in the sky, it was my longest flight ever. There were moments when I was amazed by the beauty below me and moments where I wished I was safely on the ground below me. Overall, the flight was planned and executed perfectly. I couldn't have done it without the help of Team Fly Halo.

I have to admit that with all your experience you still appreciate your feet on the ground. Stay humble, it suits you.
Always! Gotta stay humble to stay safe.
What an awesome way to live life ... The way u talk and explain things really compliments the stunning visuals.. Great job
That's what makes Tucker Gott one of the awesome youtube channels to watch. Besides demolition ranch(off the ranch) and Adrenaline Addiction of course haha. They're all three amazing.

@Tucker Gott Thank you, thank you thank you for a few things.
1. Thanks for avoiding bad language. It means your videos are a lot more shareable.
2. Thanks for including location MAPS in this video. I was driving myself crazy in other vids!
3. Thanks for showing us how you do things, and sharing the rationale. I was wondering how you were going to "switch tanks," and you showed us!
I notice a lot of people are curious, as am I. Pilots carry a HEFE (Human Element Flight Extender) that is approved by the TWBC (Teeny Weeny Bladder Club). You seem to prefer to land for that purpose, but you never explained what happens when you can't land. Is it possible to pee while flying without making a mess?
Simple. Pee with the wind to your back. Easy peezy
@@trinkladd Hahahaha! As I recall, there is this propeller ON your back, pushing you INTO the wind.
Amos Pressley hummm. Weight reduction
@@trinkladd Yes, of course... unless you end up peeing all over yourself. Then the weight reduction comes through evaporation. Not as pleasant.
Of course. Using a hose pipe.
Almost 1 mill man keep up the good work. Been here since 2k

ditto. It's been a long and rewarding road.
I can't even imagine how you felt being there and seeing all that... It's right up there with the video where you were flying above the clouds. Stunning. Can't wait to see what you're up next, mate!
Have you perhaps thought of getting a radio and doing some occasional position reports? Then you won't have to worry about aircraft taking you out.
“Hoping my wing doesn’t collapse”
WTF WOULD YOU SAY THAT?!!?? XDDD
Mission Accomplished! Well done Tucker! Looking forward to your next adventure!
That was an epic episode. It was great to listen to your thought processes on this.
Glad you made the last 0.8 mile without too much hardship:)
All the best
Sandy
Thanks! I took a few breaks along the way but the stoke of completing the journey made it easier.
Tucker Gott post the full 5.5 hours.
@@TuckerGott I carried the 50cal and M60 though my time in the service and a full pack, but what kick my but was switching and carrying the radio and kicked my but and that was at most 65lb total (but could've been more) and they had to lighten the load, pull ammo and a mortar round out. So I could keep up. We cover more ground though, but I feel for you ever time you say 80lb.! It also looks awkward on top that!
Reminded me of parasailing above Negril, Jamaica in 1995. The blue water, the craggy coral coast, and the vast stretches of palm forest. My flight only lasted 10 minutes, but it was one of the funnest things I ever did. Even though I'm usually afraid of heights, I felt safe. Because I had a parasail. I could land, which I did on the back of a boat. I crushed it! Felt so good. Good video, thanks for bringing back that memory.
This video series was supurb Tucker! I really look forward to the next adventure!
Keovar lol
Melbourne Trains Vlogs fixed it. Only took 10 months 🤣
It blows my mind you get to see these views in real life. For real, amazing.
Interesting idea flying back into the US. ICAO flight plan obviously would be one requirement and arranging Customs on the entry side of the US which can be expensive since you would not be able to land at a port of entry i.e. a Class C or B airport where that might have Customs available. I've not put a lot of time into the research as you have but I would think having a Mode C transponder with a discrete code given to you by ATC prior to crossing the US ADIZ and two way radio VHF to give positions and/or the ability for ATC to coordinate & monitor your flight would be a consideration as to why PPGs are not allowed entry into US airspace.
But if you ever figure out a way to pull it off...That would be a awesome video to watch. Cheers to You, Great Job.
Very instructive video. Everything from calculating risk, to handling a mishap, to troubleshooting and finally, finding and fixing the problem. A lot of good information here.
I was on the Carnival Pride Cruise Ship when you flew past! Didn't see or hear you though. I would have deff snapped a pic of you passing by!
I grew up traveling here in early 90’s when it was undeveloped. Crazy to see from the sky that way. Awesome images!
All these trips are amazing!!! It makes me want to take my motor to exotic places and just RIP around sometime in the future!!! Keep up the good work tucker!!!
That was a real hoot.....Great Job Tucker!
next up, Cape Town to Port Elizabeth! The Straight of Gibralter! Wales, AK to Russia! this is the beginning of an amazing checklist :)
This has to be my favorite video of them all.
Fantastic to watch! An amazing achievement Tucker! My furthest cross country in the 9 years I was paragliding was a mere 20 miles or so from weat to east along the Ochil Hills ridge (Clackmannanshire, Scotland). Early evening in July after a baking hot day. Launched above the village of Menstrie and rode a thermal to 3,000ft+. Soared the ridge west to the Wallace Monument (Braveheart country!), circled it and soared east along the ridge towards Dollar. The ridge lift began to fall as the evening drew in. 1800ft of air rolling down the hillside pushed the heat up from the valley floor. That got me to 4000ft. Silky smooth and balmy! Directly bellow me, the road from Stirling to St Andrews winds up the valley. 9.30pm and still at 2500ft, the eastern sky was darkening and the street lights of Milnathort ahead of me came on. A mate, flying ahead of me had landed in a field next to the road at Yetts O' Muckhart. I thought the better of it and threw in a few 'wing overs' to get down to join him. Picked up by the club landy a half hour later. What a blast! 😃
I love watching your long-distance flights, and trying to keep up with you on google maps sat view!
This one was awesome. Love the cut aways back to the map.
Little big island? Lol... love your vids Tucker! You inspired me to fly! I was 55 at the time! I bought a fresh breeze skip one with a Simonini motor, power atlas wing, I sold it and bought a weight shift trike! Love flying! Still in training.. but I have 6.5 hours... thank you young man! Your a good kid! 👊👊
I watched all of the Bahama series and I found it fascinating to watch. Thank You from an old Air Force vet. I envy you.
Fred Morris Me too. Me too.. And, me too...
It always amazes me how quickly you get off the ground. Like 3 steps!! Stay safe.
Epic. A great adventure and great play-by-play final flight. Thanks for explaining the issues with getting back into the US. Now I know why you didn’t fly across. Thanks TeamFlyHalo and Tucker. Now back to flying XC with Jaclyn. 😎
Duuuude! That was amazing watching you fly over our waters. Our island of Bimini Bahamas is an inhabited island literally 48 miles from Miami, would have been crazy for you to fly over from Miami. I love you videos bro, keep um up and keep safe.
Hey tucker, after hearing them have that reaction of "aww he has a helicopter on his back" just hearing reactions like that would make me so happy. A cool video idea maybe do a Montage of a bunch of people reacting to seeing you fly n just overall reactions. Because man everyone has a different reaction, I mean who doesn't think a guy paramotoring is just awesome. so yeah a cool video idea " *people reacting to a paramororist* "
That was better than going to the movies for me Tucker. Although I am 65 and not a movie go'er, you just proved my right! Thank you, so much fun. Keep them up. I was thinking along the lines of you actually doing a video getting stranded and having enough gear to camp out over night on that island and catching some fish or cooking up some of those sea snails that you saw. Also the sand crabs are edible. So I know you could have formed your kite into a tent and survived with some gas for a fire, some spark from ignition. Way better than the show "Survival".
Aloha, Paul
Amazing! I just can't believe you, or anyone else, can go up that high with a motor powered para-glider! Also, bring a windbreaker next time.
Just watched!! Glad you made it back safely without a hitch. I believe you were pretty happy when you were picked up outside the grill. Wish you could have filmed that!! Take care!!
That was an epic cross country flight! Amazing memories!
A couple of years back I flew from Miami to Amsterdam. We flew over the Bahama's and it was amazing blue in different shades. Tucker you showed me a birdview of this incredible Islands. I was impressed by the beauty. Thank's to your extraordinary filming and editing. I felt the suspence of the adventure flight and I can imagine that you were happy to have your feet on the ground.
😮did you pee way up there? Pee fly by on the ground folks 🤣
Yes that part was edited but how he had a bladder of gas on his bladder
Tucker - I started watching you from the UK with the Icarus videos you posted. And the long distance adventuring is just super awesome. Have you considered a mega super extreme hellish long distance - continent crossing adventure???? Northern Europe to southern Africa??? Alaska to Florida??? Alaska to Brazil??? I'd do it myself but brugh, doh, not you!!!
You should go to Normandy France for the D Day landings
Then visit Lourds France.
Thank you for sharing your air life its awesome and highly motivating. Be safe and teach, share your knowledge.
Tucker Gott ~ Love your videos ! The Bahamas is so beautiful ! Love & God bless you. :o)
I was getting butterflies in my stomach watching this video lol !
Very scenic 😎
Rippin' awesome flight ! The whole series was great. Great running mental decisions spoken out loud..a lot of considerations in/during a semi-dicey cross country.
Fly up to Mt Everest and beat the crowds. You can do it!
No you can't
No VFR flying above 18k feet
Incredible shots of the area! You'll never forget this one sir!
Now a mid ocean air to boat landing would be sweet, kinda a take off in the Bahamas and land before you enter the us
Loved this video. I’m sitting here in on the west coast of Florida sheltering some friends from West Palm due to the hurricane Dorian which just devastated the Bahamas. I’m literally sitting here watching your video and at the same time seeing the devastation on the weather channel. I could not even imagine going through a 185 mph storm for 40 hours which they did. I have gone through many storms including Irma 2 years ago but it was 135 mph and my house was built for it.
I would encourage you to do a follow up to this video in maybe a year, giving them time to recover. Safe flying.
You need to throw your ground speed on the screen
I wish I knew what it was! Like I mentioned, my gps wouldn't connect. Overall average for the trip was about 24 miles per hour though.
@@TuckerGott bro you were cookin. It would be sweet to see like your stats up on screen. Im sure even for these long ones, gas consumption is even interesting. Keep safe bro been following for years
bro im saving up for one of these rightnow this looks so amazing great flying
So I worked it out , should be correct.
Covered 133 miles on 6.1 gallons of fuel which means you got about 21.80mpg , not quite efficient.
Also It took 5.5 hours to cover 133 miles which meant you averaged 24.18 mph or 38.91Kmph.
I would love to see a detailed video of the fuel bladder and connections. Great video as always! Thanks!
Where's the sunglasses and sunblock? I think my eyes would be bugging from the glare in that situation. Looks like fun though, even if it is a bit long for a paramotor flight.
Really enjoy your vids Tucker, for me it's all about the scenery and your ability to have continuous relevant commentary. Keep it up!!
He does such amazing things but gets little views compared.. Such a shame...
So few views? LOL... it's only been up for 10 minutes.
@@robdotcom71
I mean look at his resent videos, His getting under 100k views, which is a much smaller count compared to his old videos and his sub count.
That's the CZcams algorithm for ya. Feel free to share the video on Facebook or drop a like and maybe it will get some more views!
95% of being a successful CZcamsr is studying the algorithm. You need to adapt your titles, tags, thumbnails, length, etc to fit the algorithm. Most CZcamsr with 2M-20M subs spend the majority of their time gaming the algorithm, or having someone do it for them.
@@xenonram Get caught gaming the algo and lose everything. Not worth it. I *accidentally* gamed the Google algo by running some kind of SEO-NUKE app on my PC, not having a clue what I was doing, and it seeded the internet with a bunch of shit and the next day my website was BANNED from Google. Completely banned. It's been 10 years since, now, and I still can't get my website to come up on Google. Gaming Google algos=BAD NEWS. Trust me!
What an awesome set. Totally incredible. Definitely taking it to the next level.
Hey man, I know that feeling where the pee almost bursts out of you that it almost comes out of your eyes 😅👀. Happens to me too when I fly longer on my paraglider. I had to land sometimes because of that. GREAT ADVENTURE, Tucker!
That's when there would be an unexpected rain shower down below...Damn ocean effect weather storms rain can pop up in an instant😆🤣
Is there any way to pee up there...have any ideas ?..got to be a way
Thank you for the map tracking. It really makes the video being able to see where you are in the big picture.
PLEASE GO BACK TO THE BAHAMAS AND DO A BEFORE/AFTER with this video as comparison!
What a fun adventure! I bet you weren't expecting to be shivering on this trip. That build up you flew over would have the hair on the back of my neck standing up.
Exactly! I never expected it to be that cold.
How about some merch commemorating the Bahamas trip?
We have a new launch coming very soon! Not Bahamas specific, but the new designs are awesome. 🤘
wow such a great view from up there of that bright blue water and white sand it looked so cool when u were flying through thoes clouds too
That is a long time to have your legs hanging. Don't they make footrest things for paramotors?
Spent 10 fantastic years living on Grand Bahama . Why am I just discovering this sport at 58 !! I have to do this .
Hey Tucker.
I was wondering, what was your flotation and reserve status on this trip? Why did you choose not to take your speedbar? It's my understanding the reason Ozone's trim range is so small, is because trims are more dangerous than speedbar.
Thanks for sharing. Amazing.
Trims more dangerous than speedbar???? Might want to change wings if that is a safety issue.
Not that I’ve ever done anything like this, but any time I’ve taken a machine way out of my comfort zone this way, I’m always SOO full of appreciation and respect for the little motor that served me so well and didn’t let me down.
Did you see any mammoths for Jaclyn?
Mini Sky Blender Man! The last time I was in the Bahamas was in '93 on a cruise. Great to see it from the sky. Thanks for taking us along!
Great vids. I would just flip out over power lines or other aircraft. I worry too much.
I am new to this channel. I am absolutely glued to your adventures now. I can't stop watching how free and natural your spirit becomes once your in the air . Amazing ! Curious to know who in your family has been the most inspiring to you for your knowledge is superior .
I've had to land my PPC with a full bladder.... very distracting. Second time to watch this video. Takes a lot of nerve to fly such long distances over water. I honestly don't think I could do it.

Hello Tucker, as usual your videos quality and content are phenomenal. For having electronic failure such as GPS, do you have a compass as backup? Just wondering.
Did you see the pigs? I watch steveo1kinevo who flies planes in south Florida and the Bahamas. That's a channel I have watched in the past, and there are wild pigs on one of the islands that people go see and feed.

Crazy to think you were there just a few months ago and it looks beautiful. Now its a disaster..
What happened?

I like the fact that you always prone a safe landing in calm wind over a landing that will save you some walking in a littld more sketchy area to land ! And even though you know you could probably clear it no problem with your experience ! You still prioritize safety over laziness 🤙🔥
28L of fuel over 5.5 hours sounds so strange compared to planes. I burn 39L per hour 😢

i so want to get a paramotor. you make it look so easy with your endless adventures. Good to see someone living life doing what you want and having fun at the same time. living the dream! Thanks for the inspiration. so glad i stumbled onto your channel. Take Care
Cruel irony that your entire flight path was just in Hurricane Dorian's eyewall. All of this was horribly damaged and it makes me sad.
I was thinking the exact same thing. All those beautiful homes completely destroyed and gone.
science out there On the positive side, Hurricanes also help the environment, they flush out lagoons and move sediment into water, which revitalizes areas. Hurricanes erode beaches and yet at the same time the ocean floor gets built up.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience.
This reminds me of a long ride on my Harley. I got rained on coming back to Jacksonville Florida from South Carolina and until I dried out, I was shivering the whole time even though it was the middle of the summer. Teeth chattering, arms shaking, ect. I finally dried off and then the sun was baking me and I wished I had some more rain. It was so damn hot. I have also taken a leak while riding a Harley. It's an interesting task and I don't recommend trying it. I'm right handed but that's also the throttle hand. I couldn't let go of the throttle so using my non dominant hand to manage everything else was ... difficult. I had to hold the bottle with two fingers and ...everything else with ... Well. It was just difficult.
you couldn’t just idk… pull over to piss? 😅
piddle pack, use by fighter pilots
@@selfishteammate Oh. Why didn't I think of that! That's brilliant. I could just... Pull over. lol Just kidding, man. It's a good point but where's the fun in that? lol Plus, I was with a large group. I didn't know where we were. I didn't want to get lost and I didn't want to have to stop the whole convoy just for me. I was new to this group and wanted to prove I could tough it out, ect. It was silly. But I managed it.
What an absolute gorgeous view
Wow. 5.5 hours airborne on homemade flight is really a record.

3 months ago, when this video was uploaded, these were incredibly beautiful islands. People were having fun, enjoying their trips, and for the lucky (at the time) they had the luxurious privilege of being able to spend the majority of their life in such a beauteous locale.
Unfortunately for the residents and whatever tourists there may have been at the time, that luxury was stolen from them. There are consequences to every decision, however good they may seem at the time, and for the people who moved to the Bahamas or visited them in early September this year, it couldn't have been more saddening, tragic, and devastating As a result of the Category 5 Hurricane Dorian, catastrophic damage was endured by the very locations shown in this video. As it parked over the Bahamas for two days straight with sustained winds of nearly 300 km/h, thousands of homes were demolished, displacing many more people. Hundreds are missing and injured, and at the time of writing there are over 40 casualties as a result of this record breaking storm.
since the time modern records have been kept, The Bahamas have never seen such a powerful and intense storm unleash it's fury as exceptionally as this one. This island will take years to rebuild, and some damage may be irreversible.
If Tucker Gott made this video today, we would see a very, VERY different sight, as opposed to the photogenic tropical blue oceaned sights we have been treated to in this video. Instead, there would be destruction and devastation as far as the eye can see. Too many people to count, pleading for help with no clean water, food, or shelter. Many of these islands would be nearly flooded if not entirely submerged.
Our hearts go out to all the victims of this tragedy, whether in the Bahamas or anywhere else affected by #HurricaneDorian. To anyone reading this comment, please donate and give aid where you can. People are in desperate need of assistance and every dollar counts.
Great work
I wonder how much time it took you write this #Respect
