It seemed unanimous in the comments and on Twitter. You guys really wanted to hear me tackle this one.
I actually can't decide which one I like better. This one played so much throughout the game that when I heard the first one, I was pumped for that one even more! Yet all the transition pieces went into this one so well towards the end of the game. This one, like Decisive Battle I was just a treat to arrange since it fell into the genre of metal all too easily.
It's really amazing how Nishiki's compositions make you feel like you've always known this music. Like the style that the game is a throwback to, the music is so heavy on melodic ideas and composition in a way that really made those games shine. I know some people might be getting sick of seeing all the Octopath content here, but I am simply having way too much fun covering this stuff.

Jules, this is amazing, and I honestly will never get sick of Octopath covers. You could spend the next two years covering every song on the soundtrack and I wouldn't complain. This is awesome!

Hell yes, favorite song in the game so far! (Though I haven't quite finished yet and DQ XI isn't helping that process along either, heh) I love how you brought it down in the middle, perfect way to accentuate the explosive hook at 1:50 just perfect!
Is DQ XI good? I might have to pick it up after I 100% Octopath!
I'm at about 30 hours in. It's good but not great. Solid pick up if you don't have anything else you'd rather be playing. Also, Primrose next!
I'm enjoying it so far. It's definitely a Dragon Quest game in every respect so far, so if you've played previous ones, this one isn't terribly different. But the graphics are gorgeous.
I hate that I'm one of those guys that likes a comment just because I'm a fan of the commenter, even when the comment wouldn't otherwise stand out to me but here we are.
You know looking into the characters,I can see Tim as alfyn,while Jon is therion and Emile is probably Cyrus
Japanese RPG games always had some pretty well crafted classically influenced music with emotional cord progressions key changes, but what octopath did with the seamless integration with the different timelines along with 160bpm (this is a bit slow) was a 11/10 score effort. amazing work!
This theme has the best intro for a battle Music i've EVER heared. I just LOVE it.
The best part is there is a unique intro for each character in the game. Therion’s is the best for this particular song though.

Honestly this was the best string of covers you released, the eightfold road really made me want to play the game and coming back to this cover of decisive battle makes that sense of nostalgia really shine, you also look like you're having a blast playing these songs and that makes the covers even more worthwhile to watch
2:37 is the best part. Octopath is so good.
This gave me the chills, easily one of the best songs in Octopath (maybe besides Tressa's theme) and was covered flawlessly. Loved the rising parts and the calm parts especially.

This is the first track I've heard from this game, and WHOA... I actually first heard it as an 8-bit remix, and fell in love with the composition immediately. Nobuo Uematsu has some good competition here! And your metal cover is TOP NOTCH.

I used to watch a lot of your Castlevania videos--didn't know you were still releasing content. Was playing Octopath the other day, when this banger of a boss theme came up and I thought it'd be cool if 'that Castlevania cover dude did a cover of it'. And here it is. Awesome work!
