I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised how this one came out. I was personally hoping more Pokémon got in but the best part of having a lot of songs from the same franchise is that they're a lot smoother to transition typically.

Addressing what seems like 99% of comments. If you want more than just Final Fantasy, then vote for something different. Instilling a one franchise per medley rule would void people's votes who voted for a different song if it didn't quite get as many votes as the winner and I don't think that's fair. I don't like the idea that in this case, the hundreds of votes sank into all the songs other than the FF song that won would not count and I don't like the idea of not counting votes. a lot of the other songs people are upset didn't make it I see had less than 5 votes from getting in so vote for it if you want it in these medleys! Other than that, thanks for all the kind words about how it came out! This one took the most time out of any of them so far.
You should put a limit on it (2-3 songs from a franchise) so the medley has a larger variety.
+Boekster Cubing The point is everyone's votes count. That would also void votes. Plus, it really says something about Nobou if he's pretty much monopolized battle themes.

+FamilyJules7X You know something I was thinking that might be interesting to do in the future would be to do something like a runners up medley where you pick 10 songs from previous medleys that didn't make it and make a medley of those.
+FamilyJules7X There's always the possibility of "Runner Up" medleys of songs that just barely missed the cut from the various medleys, right? Fair compromise to silence the whiners (though that wouldn't happen, I just really want more kickass medleys).

When I first watched it and got to #1, I was so scared that Golden Sun wouldn't be there... so excited when I heard it start!
If only I hadn't looked at the comments section before the video reached the end. Seeing Golden Sun as the #1 without knowing it was coming would have made my heart jump. That game deserves the top spot!

Its a series that was in dire need of a stronger script editor and scene director. Gameplay, puzzles, and music are aces, but *how* the story is told is infuriatingly slow.
I was a bit worried by how much Final Fantasy was smothering the list, but that #1 spot made it all worth it. Yes, please.
Not surprised to see so many FF tunes here. After all, Uematsu is a godlike composer.
That FFMQ one gave me chills, though. Such an underrated game, silly though it is.

the gameplay is simplistic at best the only real good things about it is the music and the boss design, the bosses showing damage is a thing i still want in other games but they made the game way too easy causs they thought americans are dumb

I could even hear the sound effects of the battle inside my head, potions being used, orders being given, Tifa's punches, Cloud's sword, Barrett's gun arm... good stuff.

Not gonna lie. Not big on FF as a whole but watched playthroughs of VII and man I fell in love with the music in that game and other Final Fantasy games as a well.

I almost fucking dropped a glass at the final one. Golden Sun has fantastic music and is definitely deserving of being on the list but the games are simply so damnably underappreciated that I never expected to actually hear it. Thank you!

The only reason she didn't do vocals for Persona was because I didn't give her enough time. I wanted to get this out the first of the month but it took too long so it's totally on me and I'm sorry.
I still think it turned out great! As a vocalist myself, I actually prefer the medleys keeping guitar leads consistently throughout. While it would have been fun to sing, of course, "Guitar Medley" is literally part of the title, so I don't think there's anything wrong with not having vocals. I'd personally rather hear a good overall flow when listening to a medley, and I think leads sounded awesome for the Persona piece in this one. :)

God I love that FFX battle theme. Its perhaps my favorite standard random encounter theme of all the FF's. FFXIII comes in close second too geez they're ALL GOOD

This is the video that made me fall in love with this channel within literal seconds. Such good covers, the blending of all of the themes into one arrangement, the combination of the final 5 songs, especially the last three, and ESPECIALLY #1 specifically. Dude, this made me feel emotions that very few songs have ever made me feel.

That opening riff for Isaac's Theme is quite iconic. Would have loved to see more Legend of Dragoon themes. The first battle theme, and Boss Themes 1&3 are awesome!

People saying that golden sun got the recognition it deserved, the franchise that deserves the recognition for its soundtrack the most in my opinion is Monster Hunter. The music is so underrated.

You are braver to ask than I, because sadly Shin Megami Tensei games are often really overlooked. However, I would love to see that too.
I don't think FamilyJules doesn't overlook them, it's just that no one bothers to vote for a cover of a lesser known game cause they think it wont be noticed. He encourages people to vote for obscure, niche game music but no one ever listens and just votes for Zelda/Final Fantasy over and over again. Just like voting in real life :P

ja52ng74 - Political votes in real life are usually for the people who have the press under their thumb (or at least on their side). Take a look at the UK when our 'Snap election' comes around - I bet you most are gonna vote Tory, because they are the people with the money and the press on their side. Labour, on the other hand, seem to at least have a manifesto that would benefit the people, but few will vote for them because the press called them 'Crazy' for wanting to increase corporation tax.
