A tutorial by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings about how to coffee-stain your very own letterpressed CD insert (US version) of their new album, The Harrow & The Harvest.
I got a terrific result with Earl Grey tea, second cup out of the pot and with no dilution! Was a little concerned about old coffee odor. The imprint is on special cotton paper and has an amazing texture - all created by artisans in NC .... very cool
Very cool idea. Was given the album as a present & told to look here online on how to coffee stain the artwork.... This is not the type of music I normally listen to-i stick with instrumental music of all types-but I totally love this album. Fine work....
The letterpress cover is really beautiful. The paper is like almost 1/8" thick. It really was a great idea for such a special cover.

I prefer to use Jack Daniels and Coke but you must remember to take the cd out first.

Is that Brook's head peeking through? Aardvark Letterpress, Los Angeles. Still printing using hot-type and linotype for all types!
