- Welcome to Xtreme Chest Locked, the series where we take on Runescape's hardest challenges whilst being limited to only chests.
This means EVERY aspect of the game, we can not train agility without using chests, obtain items without using chests, or use shops as they are not chest related.
This episode we try to unlock barrows and complete some 6 brother runs.

For wc if you haven't found a way to raise it i'd say lvl 19 wintertodt is the only way. Because it leads to a crate which is some kind of chest.

Just a slight improvement to your barrows route. If you do Ahrim and Karil between the melee brothers, you can regen run energy while flinching instead of waiting.

In the odd chance you end up snagging a champion scroll from a skeleton or something, those are actually chest content since you get a lamp by searching the chest of champions after each champion is defeated (in case you didn't already know that). It's actually a decent bit of slayer xp too
This is true, theoretically this makes them chest related and lets me kill them just for the scrolls if I ever want to grind it!

I’m loving all these series for RuneScape, all of y’all have the best ideas. Like chest only? Yeah but actually doing it is insane.
Sounds boring on paper but god damn there is so much to discover and the fact it's possible is crazy!
by the way, if you worried about the level up stall still (dont know if that is going to matter at this point since it gets longer for level ups) you can toggle that off in options to not pop up and stall you. since you are probably clicking off it anyway to move you gonna miss the popup anyway
In response to your first video and the chest-related woodcutting question. If you define the supply crate reward from Wintertodt as chests, you could theoretically do that.
You can do the Fremennik questline so you can get to Miscellania for the Managing Miscellania side reward. When you use it for fishing, you can receive caskets. Now you have an excuse to do those quests as long as you end up using that in the long run for passive chest/casket gaining :)
🤔You know I wasn't going to include miscellania at all but it does technically meet my rule:
'A quest is valid if the chest unlocked has a REPEATABLE REWARD after the quest is completed' and I never considered technically it's a repeatable reward, I think I'll probably include this - so I can go up to fremmy trials c:
I don't even play OSRS anymore but this series sometimes makes me want to come back, then I remember all the clicking, keep it up! can't wait to see the next one!

Fun fact, you can take the relics you get from kamdozal to the museum for kudos, also, eyes of newt are quest items since you need then for witches potion.

In barrows you can go in and out of the doors in the tunnel and it will randomly spawn a brother that you haven't killed yet.
this way you can safespot all of the melee brothers in the tunnels without needing to run around the coffins.
We can do this, but it's not as consistent really, I tried for awhile and sometimes you can just go so long without them, also if it's a ahrim/karil tunnel it can hurt - lmao, I might retry it when I come back!
As a uim I used to camp the nat rune chest at early levels, this was before the runecrafting mini game
tourist trap with 2 huge exp lamps involve a chest. Talking to the captain about sailing to distract him which allows you to search the chest beside him

you should also probably number your videos to reduce confusion but also help the algorithm

Btw, you can disable those level up notifications. The in-game settings have a toggle for it in the "Interfaces" section.

@Tellacon at 39:24 you mention the level up screen stalls your character, If you go into your Wrench, Then hit the "All Settings" Button. Type in "Level" and you can disable the Level-up Interface and this should stop the stall issue your having :D

The yogscast reference took me back in time, stop making me feel old
So a little tip for the brother you get in the tunnel. On my hc i hated getting a dh tunnel. I found tho if you go in to the crypt and fail the door puzzle and make the catacomb shift you can return to the top and the brother that leads down will of changed. So you never have to have ahrim tunnel again
I would really like it if you would just loot clamps, cradles whatever because they use the same mechanics as a chest. It would really help the series progress and make it more enjoyable as a viewer imo. Like if u agree! ❤️ love the series.

I was initially going to include some other things but after theorycrafting I wanted to be as masochistic as possible and figured out my limits with chests, I can see it from both sides but I think I'll stick to this for now 🤔 It will be in the back of my mind, it okay next series will be 'locked to everything but chests' haha
@@Tellacon With this logic you wouldnt be able to loot uniques from TOA because they come out of a sarcophagus, not a chest.
@@ChampionTan In my FAQ on ep 1 description I go over it and a coffin/sarcophagus with much googling passes in some cases, but a crate never done, allowing coffins in general makes teh series better overall because raids and ogre coffins too, but the argument is there that they are chests!
@Tellacon in the same sense you should be a uim as a bank isn't a chest but a vault. It's horseshoes and hand grenades at a certain point.
Love the series, and play however you want to play the game! I have an area locked account I'm working on currently so I feel the struggle lol

Love this thank you very much for making the vid. I've started my own chest ironman last month and found all sorts of weird and wonderful things out (involving collecting bones for demon slayer from a chest). Bit of a random one but I've allowed myself to buy runes from the Ali Morrisane lockboxes after Rogue Trader (just a thieving roll for elemental runes, and solving a sudoku every time you want the other runes)
Ali Morrisane is also allowed for me too! As he specifically tells you it's a chest, buttt for now I have no money so thieving is good >=)

I am currently only 6 mins in but I having difficulties remember everything that has happened in the past since it was a month ago (had to look at previous vid really quick). Would it be possible to do a quick recap prior to main vid? Since the nature of the video's take so long to come out it is sometimes difficult to remember what happened previously. So I know this is 2 months old now, but after watching the first barrows run I thought I would mention there is an option in the settings that disables level up messages so that your characters actions are not interrupted. With it enabled you aren't stopped from woodcutting, smelting, moving, etc during a level up.

honestly the nature rune chest was a godsent for me when i made my first account and started as an ironman. Ive spent like 90% of my early days of playing in ardy in general. I had like 80 thieving before even one other stat above 40. Thats also just been about 10 or 11 months ago so hasnt been too long.

you could keep the lightbulbs and wire for firemaking and crafting xp in the city for some free xp from the dorg chests
87 crafting is a bit too high but for the firemaking side stay tuned 👀
You should look at clams as underwater mimic chest opening them and pulling loot seems close enough

Hey bro, Loving the series.
Just Quickly with the barrow's~
Kill ah and karils, then find the tunnel. Go down and walk in and out of the room (like the first room in the clip).
You will be able to spawn brothers, then safe spot behind the rock or the ladder.
After a while you may find NPC's wont span, just hop to a different world.
This cant be down on all outside corners, some rocks are a little too far. Just do a few and you will remember (or mark the rocks).
Also remember the ladder is in all 4 corners even if you can see them. Good luck
I do this for a couple of brothers in the video, the problem with it is other peoples spawns and my own aggro and I have to kill them while the melee brother is safespotted, the skeletons eat away at my food, so it's more fun to do them in their rooms for now!
