The front arb bushes are a pain I own a sport lux. It's mitsubishi running gear and his case a bomb proof f9q engine they will do over 500k no probs
@@chucky2316 The Renault diesel was certainly a strong motor. Not the most refined engine ever built lol
We had a V40 with the 1.9 diesel for about 3 years, fabulously reliable and a nice drive.
I have a top of the range sport lux se best car I've ever had. Still have my 2003
@@chucky2316 mine wasn't top of the range but a sport, I think they have beefier suspension? either way it was a great drive, I only swapped it because I managed to get a good deal on a slightly bigger Octavia Estate, again another great car.

I had a V40 with the same engine in Swedish Racing Green. Pre-facelift so it still had orange indicators. No info center and no leather or headlamp wipers, but still the best car I ever had. It managed about 200,000 miles before it died 🐈
The D Sport version came with a member of ZZ Top in the back seat as standard. It was an option on the rest of the range.

I still miss my V40 T4. Such a good car. I'd have another if anyone has a solid phase 2 for sale.
I had one of these from work about 20 years ago and went up to Scotland in it to drop a parcel off and ended up sleeping in the back of it with the rear seats folded forwards and my feet in the boot 😂 I remember really liking driving it - not quick (the 1.8 petrol) but adequate and very comfortable on a long run.
Why is there a Norman in the back? Imagine these three out on the town at night 👀🕺🌜🌘🪐🌗?!

I had one of these it was an X reg 1.8 petrol, I loved it.

Now then. I think from the wings back it looks a bit like a Renault Laguna. To swings and roundabouts with the Renault Laguna, it’s a hatchback rather than a saloon which is better if you need to take things to places, but the Volvo has a rather handsome face rather than looking like Cyril Sneer as the Laguna does. Nice to see another example of a deep dashboard hole. I remember the Ford Transit of the similar period had a thin, wide slot that someone I know thought was for their bank card but they couldn’t get their hand in to get it out again. I’m pleased to say that I had the idea that managed to retrieve the bank card, I did what the guy off Carwow calls a launch and the card slid back far enough for my shovel handed friend to get enough purchase on it to remove it. We left a small note in this deep recess mentioning that people shouldn’t put their bank card in there but that went so deep that it’s unlikely it would be any help. I wonder if in a scrapyard somewhere there is a Transit still with a note warning people not to put bank cards in the deep recess in the deep recess. The Renault Laguna also had a rather pointless plastic flap covering the radio. I wonder how many radio burglars peeked inside a Renault Laguna and thought how odd, this mid sized family car doesn’t have a radio to steal when non premium manufacturers such as Renault tend to stuff loads of kit into their offerings in an attempt to draw the eye of the consumer away from the more prestigious but more spartan offerings from Germany. The second generation of Renault Laguna was my first ever company car. It too had a pointless plastic flap over the radio and a stupid key card thing instead of an actual key. It was also the first car I ever had that had leather seats, due to some sort of issue with making the things I was given one with a higher spec than my lowly position deserved. Probably couldn’t get the plastic flaps or most likely they ran out of their stupid key cards because people like me, normal people used to normal things like normal keys, kept sitting on them and snapping them. This Volvo is quite a handsome thing, doesn’t look like Cyril Sneer, easily accessible radio and a key that you can use in a New York gang fight.
Better car than that 75 😂. Good swap, it's got a Renault f9q engine in it no dpf. Bomb proof mines on 300k.

Best car you will ever have i have a 2003 sport lux. If you have the money make me an offer for the 1250 headunit i have a spare 😂. Period lcd and sat nav

I must admit I was distracted by the lovely a6 in the background 😂😂😂. My audi does 60mpg 😂out on the open road with the 1.9 Tdi PD it is great just passed it's MOT yesterday I never did anything to it just a good old wash 😊 The audi has a park gard as well 😂😂.
