Remember guys, watch the trial and not just the news
Edit: Alr so some people just don't understand how the law works. Just because he was walking around the gun doesn't mean he's guilty. Yes, he shouldn't have been there. He is just 17 and I'm sure he can look back on this as one of the dumbest things he's done.
    But that doesn't mean he's a murderer.
Just because you feel he shouldn't have been there doesn't mean he is guilty of murder and recklessness. He did what he had to do purely in self defense, case closed.

I copied this from somewhere else, but this is dead on point for anyone who thinks Kyle should have been convicted
The Jury found Kyle NOT GUILTY.
I didn't know that Kyle put out a dumpster fire that was being rolled down to a gas station to blow up, with people all around.
I didn't know that the Police were told to stand down as businesses were destroyed.
I didn't know that Kyles Dad, Grandma and Friends all lived in Kenosha, 20 minutes from where he resided with his Mom part time in Illinois.
I didn't know that Joseph Rosenbaum knocked him down twice and then attempted to kick him with lethal force to the head.
I didn't know that Huber had hit him in the head 2x with a skateboard.
I didn't know Gaige Grosskreutz, a felon in possession of firearm, aimed his gun at Kyle first, as he admitted on the stand.
I also didn't know that in the State of Wisconsin, it is legal for Kyle to have a gun, even at 17 (which was why the gun charge was dismissed).
I didn't know that Kyle did not cross state lines with a gun he wasn't supposed to have. The rightful gun owner did, as he was legally permitted to do.
I also didn't realize that Rosenbaum was a 5 time convicted child rapist and that Huber was a 2 time convicted woman beater. I didn't know that Grosskreutz was a convicted Burglar with an assault on his record also.

They made sure they had all of the evidence from every source, they made sure there were expert witnesses, they made sure the state witnesses were cross-examined and shown to be liars such a Grosskreutz and his friend. They truly believed in their client's innocence and made sure everyone who took the time to watch this trial in its entirety would too. The Prosecution was ill-prepared, they speculated so much because they knew their case was weak... they tried demeaning the witnesses they knew they couldn't use accusing them of all sorts of things even though they weren't on trial. The fact that Binger kept rolling his eyes and acting surprised during the defense closing arguments shows he would do anything to make his case even if it means acting as if he didn't say and do these things. Thank God Kyle Rittenhouse had these lawyers on his side or he would most likely be started a life sentence for this tragic event.

The prosecution's own key witnesses constantly contradicted the prosecution and their narrative when the prosecution was questioning the witnesses themselves.

I agree to an extent. I think the defense did exactly what they needed to do though. They knew the evidence was in their favor. This is one of those cases where you allow the prosecution to destroy itself with its own facts and evidence. Particularly once the prosecution was completely unable to prove what they stated in the opening.
At the end of the day they did a great job. Kyle is a free man.

Scary thing for Kyle is that the guy he shot in the arm saying, “I should have emptied the clip into that kid” he is going to be out to get revenge on Kyle, now that Kyle was proven innocent. Kyle needs to get a restraining order against him. I can’t imagine the PTSD this poor young man is dealing with right now. Knowing that you had to take another human beings life, even in self defense is not something you can process very easily. By the way, am I the only one who despised the prosecution attorney? He had an ego bigger than that courtroom.
