Hydro Slick Hyper Wax....www.amazon.com/s?k=hydro+slic...
UNLIKE ANY WAX YOU'VE EVER USED BEFORE: In order to create a product that offers the shine, protection, and durability of a ceramic with the ease of use as a wax, we had to invent a whole new category: a Hyper Wax.
FIRST EVER HYPERWAX: A Hyper Wax combines the ease of use, shine, depth and clarity of a wax combined with the longevity, beading, and slickness of a ceramic coating.
LATEST IN GEL SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY: Hydro Slick uses the latest in SiO2 gel suspension technology to totally re-engineer the makeup of a ceramic coating and reinvent it as an extremely user-friendly and durable coating that anyone can apply.
HYDROPHOBIC WATER BEADING: Hydro Slick uses ceramic SiO2 nanotechnology to seal the pores of your car’s paint, creating a perfect layer where water behavior becomes highly and excessively active, resulting in rapid water acceleration off any treated surface.
YEAR ROUND PROTECTION: The durable shield helps protect against road grime, water spots, industrial fallout, road tar, bird droppings, pollutants, brake dust, tree sap, road tar, overspray, and more for up to one year.
INTENSE CRYSTALLINE HYPER SHINE: By filling in microscopic surface imperfections, Hydro Slick creates a super smooth surface that reflects light back at you with unparalleled shine like only a true ceramic can!
THE EASIEST CERAMIC EVER: Easy to use ultra fast applications means anyone can apply and get ceramic protection in just minutes!
A TRUE CERAMIC COATING: Hydro Slick is not a wax with SiO2 added, it's a true ceramic coating engineered from the start as a ceramic coating in easy to use gel format.
TRULY VERSATILE FORMULA: Now, you can achieve insane water beading and ceramic protection on your paint, glass, painted wheels, chrome, and headlights too!
LAYERABLE: Hydro Slick is so easy to use, you can apply as often as you want! Use Hydro Slick alone as a standalone ceramic coating on untreated paint for year-round of durable protection, or add it to Hydro Charge or your favorite Chemical Guys ceramic coating to make the shine pop even more!

What do you guys think of the chemical Guys Hydro line so far?
I haven't needed to try that line quite yet as I'm still absolutely in love with polish angel master sealant. By far the best protection you can buy if ceramic coatings are out of the equation :)
Meguiars HCW
James O'Brien have you never seen Brian apply HCW? He applies it the exact same way and they are similar products.
Lets see what can do against seal n shine on Brian's combat arena
In my opinion looks Weak ,in the hydrophobic and gloss department. expensive and a difficult to remove .next!
Love the color on the C4 Corvette and sounded great when you started it..
Just wanted to say I don't watch many detailing videos due to the fact I was taught by 2 very high end experienced detailer's back home in Florida when i first started detailing. After watching your video i'm very IMPRESSED with the overall outcome and definitely agree with everything you mentioned in this video. I currently work part time detailing at a car wash and they just introduced this product to us followed by your video so we get a hint with what needs to be done and what we're dealing with... Again i'm very IMPRESSED with this product and appreciate your video as well as your helpful tips and advice. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of your videos since I did take liking to the 1st one and decided to hit that subscribe button!!! Thank You
Awesome show as always. Always look forward to your next installment. Thanks for sharing so much much. Definitely one of the best 🤘🏼
Enjoying your tutorials. Thanks for the straight talking and detailed videos. John from Derry, Ireland.
I would watch you paint a fence.
😂
G Davis lmao
😂
😂 I once spent an hour watching a guy mow a field.😂
I am literally applying it as i watch your video. A unique product. It is cool to watch the gloss increase in front of your eyes. To me , i don’t detect any odor. It removes a little easier if i wait around 4 minutes. I am applying to black. Worth every dime to me.
Great video as always Brian. Thank You!
By the way, I like your channel, you don't oversell any product and the video are very concise and not talking just to make it interesting, I really appreciate that from your channel, just looking how you apply products and the technique, speaks for itself
I just stumbled on your CZcams site - first I want to say, what a nice ride. I have seen others who I think just want to hate every CG product. You seem to give the most unbiased point of view. And, the best tips for product use. Thank you for this review.
So great to see someone taking care of C4. So many of them are neglected...such a great design and fun car
I’m so stoked for this product it’s high key amazing thanks for the video
I swear, Prof you read minds. I was really hoping for you to review this. Thank you so much!
I really just love watching your demo's Brian. I have even stopped watching TV and eat popcorn while watching 🤣
Perfect timing on this video Brian! I was really trying to decide if I wanted to get this CG product! Thanks for a great video as always!
When I tagged you on the Instagram post like two days ago I didn’t think you’d jump on it this quick. Truly doing God’s work here lol
Hey....I dont Mess around!🙂
Another great review I really enjoy all your videos especially all the how to stuff that you've been posting lately keep them comeing
Thanks Brian, looking forward to further evaluation against similar products in this SiO2 family.
Another great review. Fantastic channel, one of the best on CZcams.
I appreciate the kind words! 🙂
Your vette looked great.. when removing it, itactually reminded me of my first attempt when i used megs HCW for the first time. I used way to much and it smeared horribly
..good vid
Wow so quick to make a review. Just came out a couple days ago. Thanks!
Looking forward to the G9 showcase!!
Great video Brian that product definitely makes the panel deeper but holy cow it looks like it took some effort to remove it almost like paste wax. Can wait to see you put it up against some other products & hear about it's longevity.
That car looks amazing. Great job. 👍👍
I like to see this in the sun; overall the car looks really nice, the rims and the paint goes well from the naked eye. I just purchased this and cannot wait to apply it
Thanks son much for you time and effort , I enjoy a lot your videos
Yet another fantastic detailed review!!
Now that’s POPPING!!!!! Great job sir
Nice and concise review! I am confused though ... if I choose to "layer" this product does it go on first then a paint sealant/wax on top? Thanks for great videos!
How about a shootout between Hydro Slick Hyper Wax and turtle wax seal and shine.
Great video Brian. Beautiful Vette as well. Question, do you glaze the car, the add a layer of sealant, then wax it, after you apply the hydro slick? That’s the process chemical guys recommended. What you think?
Nice! The product gives it a great pop. Thanks for sharing.
Do a durability test!! Thanks for the awesome video!
Great video and the vette looks great! I'd like to see a comparison between hydro slick and hydro charge to see if they are similar gloss and beading capabilities. Keep up the great work!
i like easy to work with products i don't think this one made my list . thanks Apex
Man your Vette looks good B! Hard to believe how old it is. Put this up against CarPro Hydro2.
I live in Los Angeles and I go to chemical guys every time I need something for my car. I’m curious on trying this on my mustang cali special. Your car looks and sounds beautiful man. The shine is real rich.
Brian appreciate the vid and all of your vids. I picked up a bottle today (last one at Walmart). Would using a slightly damp microfiber to remove the product/haze help or work them following behind with a dry one?
I bought some the other day but I was confused by the gelatin consistency. Chemical guys video made it look creamy, your video looks just like mine. My wife has a camry with silver metallic paint and it made it look fantastic. Thanks for the video
Bought some cuz I love the hydro charge and this stuff can be used on glass and wheels and layered on hydro charge.
also front shield
Kinda new to the channel. Detailing has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid. I like this channel because you got a real quick to the point no BS thing going on and I really appreciate that. Love your videos. This product did better than I thought It would but that price. I don't know . I'd like to hear your thoughts later on whether or not you think it's worth the price or not.
Shine Supply Cherry Silica wax would be perfect. I would love to see you review the entire Shine Supply line!
Great video and amazing tips I’m going to try this on my gloss black Dodge Charger!
How about the full chemical guy ceramic line? The hydroslick and hydro charge? Maybe even a wash with hydrosuds? Great video loving all the good info!
Hey Brian, it looks great on the vette the gloss came across on the video,I’m looking forward to the follow up video on durability.
Wow when backed out into the sunlight damn is all I can say CG have a sure home run with this formula!!!!!!!
thank you Brian. I just used this on my in-law's SUV yesterday. I saw how grabby it was during the wipe off stage, so I cheated by putting it on every panel first, then used Tech Choice ceramic detail spray to wipe off and buff. It came out so nicely !
That Polo Green C4 and Dark Bowling Green C5 are quite pretty when the paint is taken care of. A really underrated color.
I agree....love the color.
Thanks, Brian!
The obvious choice of opponent is MHCW, but I'd like to see it against another CG product. Maybe JetSeal or Butter Wax or the dozens of others. See just how similar they are in each of your testing categories.. 👍👌✌
This isn't something I'd use professionally, but I have to say, it looks like it does a very nice job of bumping up depth.
Great video once again! I'm getting my sample in a couple of days and see if I can duplicate your report. Yes you seem to have experienced some stickiness on removing the second application.
thank you for this awesome video I did use the hydro slick on an f250 I also Clay barred the truck took me about 4 hours by then read putting jetseal on top was even better which I just did today took me about another hour-and-a-half question is why do you need jetseal if you're putting a ceramic coating on the vehicle using Hydra slick could you please answer that
I was waiting for that cleaner wipe 🤪🤪. Next chemical test coming soon I guess. Excelent video as usual
I’m currently using HydroCharge. I would love to know how both products compare to each other.
Your Vette looks beautiful. I’m getting ready to apply this product to my 72 Nova that is a dark green also.
Definitely enjoy your videos I would love to see more testing on this product. It looks like something that I could use without too much problems. But I don’t know if it’s worth it. I’ve been using synthetic for the ease of use and it holds up OK I guess. I always used two coats. Just spent two days on my truck I thought the synthetic off with Collinite What is shine on my 10-year-old GMC black truck. I love my truck. Thanks
I had the same problem, it was a pain to remove the wax so next time I’ll use a little less but it was totally work it!!
Looks good! Nicely done!!
looks awesome, im going to auto zone in the morning and getting a can of the hydro slick,i cant wait to try it on my 2001 silver vette
I never paint my fence with one layer good shit👌🏾
i cannot rate your content enough, superb and im now locked in :)
Cheers!
First off that Corvette is GORGEOUS!!! That Forest Green is awesome looking!. CG product did make it look richer in color. But since it is "supposed" to be a 12 months product, I guess taking a weekend or sat once every 6 months or more would not be so bad to take it off. But a everyday for work item....
hmm maybe not so much, and Using hydro speed to keep it looking good for longer is a easy spray on and wipe off item. I am sold on it. But to me ill do it all. clay bar, high speed cut, hydro charge, hydro slick, hydro speed. Once every 6m or 12m. works for me. But that's just me. BTW great vid. I was tuned into what you were doing the whole time. 👍
Excited to see your review of the new griots garage polisher. I am sure it will be a little more thorough than mine was. I'm interested to see what you have to say about their grease, since they said they put better grease in there I wonder if it's actually better. I didn't actually take mine apart to check though.
I’d put that on a 5inch wax pad go to work with the speed set at 4.5 and probably be easier to wipe off. Looks like a nice shiny product
I have been using the Griot's Garage 11075 One-Step Synthetic Sealant based on your review and after 1 year i still really really like it, however this new stuff from Chemical Guys looks very interesting, I am no stranger to their products and have been considering a Ceramic wax. Definitely would like to see your long term results of this one for sure.
@Apex Detail I have a question: for your experiences with Jet Seal 109 sealant, Hydrocharge ceramic spray and Hydro Slick ceramic coating, what would you suggest to a beginner like me? For protection, shine, easy application and possibility to reapply / multilayer, without only observing the duration in time or costs, but how the car is protected at that time. If I want to protect my car, today, starting from scratch, what is balanced between these products?
Another great video!!! Can you compare it to ethos ceramic wax? I've been using ethos ceramic wax and durability is great.
THE SHINE ON THAT VETTE IS MEAAAANNN!!!!!!
Great review and fast 👌 views incoming !!
Love the c4 too 👍🏼👍🏼 Once a month review ?! How about a ph neutral wash like ASAP .. I’ve tried and still use lots of cg stuff and literally nothing lasts more than 2-3 washes like jetseal etc
This looks amazing.
You're c4 was already super clean and shiny!
I just saw their video on this product yesterday and Boom... you already have a review out on it. You're the man B! 😁👍 As far as the product itself, the gel consistency looks like a little will go along way. However, based on the price and ease of use I would probably pass on this one. There are others out here that perform just as well or better for much less. Like someone else mentioned in a comment, their products (mainly the Si02 based ones) are way overpriced.
Put it against Megs hybrid ceramic wax please.
This is way better more money but worth it
yeah this is a different category. HCW would blow this away in application ease of use - HCW would be a top-coat for this anyway.
I did t have a good experience with that product
Hcw degrades after a month. Horrible product
I love this product. I have found the thinner you can put it on the better. I use 2 small dots and cross hatch. In my garage (55degrees, 36 humidity) I only let it sit for around 45 secs. If its hard to get off, and/or looks like your pushing it around, you used to much. Good tip on multiple rags. I used a short nap to remove the residual product and a final buff with a 500gsm plush towel. Seems like the Chemical Guys stuff takes more technique to use, but you can't argue with the results.
If you get a spot where it looks like the product wont buff off, I just hit it with a light spray of HydroSpeed detail spray.
Dude u sound like Jimmy Johnson the nascar driver love your videos been watching for a while but the voice gets me lol
I was thinking the same exact thing! Once I found your comment, I figured out I wasn't the only one🤣
i got all they product so looking forward to be using it
I dont know if you tried different microfiber towels to remove the product or not,but i had the same issue after using CG Hydro Charge ceramic spray coating.I tried different towels and found that the yellow large detailing towels from CG took off the product with no problem.Love your channel and the fact you dont just talk for 30 min. before doing anything...like a certain other detailer.
I always wonder, do you rewash/reuse the towel? or dedicate it only for waxing?
wierd how optically it got better but the gloss meter didnt even blink? whats your thoughts?
What I use is one of those spray on and rinse off products. I have never gone back to waxes after using it.
The two main reasons I switched from CG, price/value, and difficulty taking their sealants and waxes off and being even.
Did you ever do a follow up on this ? How did it last and protect in your opinion. Thinking to swap out from there jet seal 109. to this. Is that something you would recommend
cam you do a test between hydroslick and hydrocharge I want to know which is better
Very useful video 👍🏻 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This reminds me of Dr. Beasley's paint sealant which is also very thick and just as hard to remove. I was told by Dr. Beasley company to use a damp microfiber to go back over the car to remove the residue. Thanks for another great review
Hi Bryan....So if you ALREADY have a ceramic coating, you can just apply Hydro Slick on top of the ceramic coating ?
That looks difficult to remove when compared to most other products and, honestly, that’s disqualifying for me. Maybe for a weekend warrior it’s fine, but people who work with this stuff day in and day out know how much difficulty like this can set you back in terms of time and fatigue.
Look great on that Green Machine 💕 like you said u knw ur car. So you can detect a gloss bump up better than anyone
Good video. I would like to see you compare to Ethos ceramic wax. Think it would be a good comparison.
I like it....will buy and try...thank you
Also. How do you remove the product before reaplying again? Soft polish or ipa?
I have a black car tge was freshly painted and now ready for a protection coating. I want to protect it from bug acids and bird droppings. What do u recommend?
Nice video Brian! It looks like a product that I would never use. But I would like to see you compare it against the Turtle Wax ice seal and shine!
Do you think it can be applied with DA polisher? I have it with me but it is a real pain to buff off the product, it seems very sticky and I wonder, the polisher will make the product thinner and easy to remove, I don't have a test panel but you have....
Could you put it up against Jax wax ceramic wax or shine supply cherry silica wax?
Maybe Adams ceramic wax as well
Great info. I'm not familiar with this type of product so comparison of something equally good would be great.
looks nice and glossy to me! tha ks for the vid!
Brian! That Corvette C4! Looks absolutely terrible! I literally had to put on my sunglasses on! LOL! It's looks Fantastic! As far as the chemical guys product looks a little hard to remove. But it makes it shine! Oh i put your pad or interior cleaner! Works Great! Thanks again Brian!
Can I use the heavy duty water spot remover then use hydro slick on it?
What product should I use? This. Or a wax then a traditional ceramic coating?
Great vlog Brian do you think it would last 6 months watch all your vlogs great information
During the 12-24 hour wait time, does it have to be inside or can it be outside?
