Ppppppppppppppppppp
I love these old garden tractors, but this looks like it was just released on the showroom, amazing skills!
It is not a garden tractor, it is a riding lawn mower. There is a huge difference.
@Eric Erickson those new mowers sucks lol
Walk in to a farmers vehicle shop and you just see this cute small thing sitting in between two tractors, has a note saying " may appear small, but very powerful". 🤣😂
@@xxfyrezgamerxx6279 It is a riding lawn mower like any other riding lawn mower in the world. It is not a garden tractor. A farmer would not have this in his shop next to his tractors, although he may have a garden tractor there.
This guy doesn't have a fuzzy clue what he is talking about.
@@artszabo1015 oh, but that's what I meant, farmers ride on mower for bigger gardens.
That has got to be the most complete rebuilding of an old mower I've ever seen. Nothing missed and the final results are amazing. Bravo sir, Bravo! You now have a "NEW" mower...
The end result is incredible , it went from looking like it needed a funeral to looking like it is freshly made. You saved it from the scrapyard.
There is something so incredible about older machinery, simple honest to god engineering that you can actually fix & maintain yourself, stuff that was built to be reliable & to last. Top job as always.
Easy to see why you wanted to rebuild this machine. The thick metal and the good engine makes for a worthy restoration. Good work. Very inspiring.
If there was a "Love" button to click on CZcams videos, it would be clicked so hard. Superb job, and thank you for filming and uploading it.
I watched the entire video down here from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. Like the genuine builders of this machine 40 years ago, you did an absolutely wonderful job. I have also to say, I am astonished by your depth of knowldge and skill on such renovation. Looking forward to see you on the next video and I am now member of your youtube family. Congratulation pal!
Time for a break from working in my own shop to have a coffee and watch this awesome restoration. I've picked up more than a few tips and tools watching you work...
Great work! This looks like a really well built garden tractor. The deck looks strong, as well as the snow plow. It cuts great and the rear discharge is really cool don't see that feature too often over here in the states even on the older models. I'm glad you were able to save this one and get it back up and running.
I know how much work this to get a project like that done. I have restored several older garden tractors over here in the states. Then to film and edit everything is a lot of work. I'm glad you were able to do that and share your process.
yeah ive never seen a rear discharge lawn deck ever
@@seanc8054 I had one on an old Gilson tractor. It had an operational rear deck. Ended up selling it to a guy who needed it for parts. Hopefully he was able to take both of them and make one work.
They aren't really practical as they leave rows of grass, but if you need to collect grass (growing hay) it would be great for that.
The rear discharge is common on the large mowing decks pulled behind tractors. Seen them used alot on large fields and along the highway. But yeah never seen them on a garden tractor
Well there is a big distinction (usually) between garden tractor and riding lawn mower, since you call it the former it should be no surprise that it is 'really well built', but being 40 years old helps, as things were built much more heavy duty back then and with lots of features. Now they are mass produced junk, more or less, and disposable
@@Hjerte_Verke Modern day riding mowers that can be purchased at box stores are very cheaply made. They are disposable. They will last maybe 5 to 10 years. This one is 40 years old, and after being restored it will be around for another 40+ easily.
Great job Sir. No crappy music, just a bird now and then. Perfect. No talking which makes this very relaxing to watch.
Great editing job to be able to make it look so easy and to leave out the swearing, throwing of wrenches and taking stuff apart you already put together but in the wrong order.
I am impressed with the cutting job at the end ! It really looked like a quality cut mower.
Right off the showroom floor! Unbelievable talent.
Wow, thank you!
I've watched HUNDREDS of push mower, lawn tractor, skid steer and heavy equipment rebuilds. This by far exceeded 90% of them including auto body builds. Good on you mate. Thanks for the detailed restoration process every step of the way!
Fantastic restoration!!💯👍👍
Really like the painting the grille black,it modernizes the look, and the new rear tires are a great upgrade...
They turn the mower into a tractor!!😁🥇🥇🥇
Love these ASMR, quiet style videos of yours. Just birds, tools and ambiance. Perfect job!
I would be totally overwhelmed just from the enormity of this project! I'm not sure where you find the motivation, Bravo sir.
I thought I was pretty good with tools..I couldn’t even carry your toolbag…I would buy that machine in a minute over anything available today. FIRST CLASS AS ALWAYS!
Some folks just do a revival…get it running video. I like your complete disassembly, repair and reassemble perspective…well done and informative. Blessings and thanks.
I have nothing but admiration for you. That was one hell of a rebuild.
Brilliant job. I wouldn't have used it but put it in my front room or a museum or something😀
You left the grass get really long on purpose didn't ya😉
Best restoration yet thanks
that's how you restore a lawnmower, great video, tks!!!
Thank you for making these videos. They're immensely satisfying and relaxing to watch, and they're genuinely helpful in helping me calm down whenever I'm stressed.
Absolutely World Class restoration. What skill, and patience
The best restoration video I've seen so far. No fake!
All the problems that a restore demands. I've been working with restorations for 20 years and your video is as close to reality as you can find in real life!
Congratulations!
If I had 100% of your skill and 150% of your patients, I could do what you do easily. Well done fantastic
Great job my friend! That ol girl really does shine and I can only imagine the amount of time, energy and patience that you put into that build. I really do hope you consider doing another build like this in the future.
That turned out fantastic. And that twin cylinder Briggs sounds amazing
Absolutely outstanding! I can't imagine the time and expense you have into this project. So glad you took the time and effort to video it for us.
A couple seasons for sure. But it’s a rebuilt before a restoration imo
I love seeing vehicles, equipment, and toys lovingly restored and saved, not destroyed. These are the types of videos that deserve the views, likes and subscriptions, not the ignorant videos of a kid destroying perfectly good things for the sole purpose of money. We need more videos like this. That’s a damn good looking little tractor too!
Quality workmanship, attention to detailed that is outstanding - plus lovely background of English birdsong, robins, blackbirds, wood pigeon etc. a really worth while watch and education. Thank you very much.
You weren't kidding when you said this was a tough time consuming rehab. Well done though. Thank you for sharing with us
Fantastic! Love seeing these old things get new life!
What the hell, you're out there mowing with a museum piece of art.
Beautiful job and no I'm not talking about the lawn!
Everything is metal, no plastic parts. Meaning everything can be cleaned up and fixed. Will be a mountain of parts to paint. Love to see these older machines back in use.
That is one hell of a nice looking machine. I think the black grill looks amazing on it and a great upgrade.
Amazing job, you really know how to fix every part of this tractor properly.
Congrats!
I love the sounds of work being done. And the captions really relay what is happening.
Sir, your accomplishment with this project is being WILDLY APPLAUDED in America! CHEERS!!!
Wow. What a huge transformation. You did a great job. Respect. 👍👍👍 I like, saving and repairing old stuff. Hello from Hamburg, Germany.
OUTSTANDING EFFORT!!! :) If they gave Academy Awards for restoration videos you would win!!! Superior quality production values!!! And I love that you didn't clutter your video with mindless chatter or lousy music. Quality subtitles explained it all perfectly! Just the odd bit of whirring or birdsong :) Your technical skills are first rate. Bloody excellent! :)
Wow, thank you!
The amount of effort put into saving something that most people see as disposable, I love it man. Beautiful. I love seeing old lawn mowers.
Not sure how rich and stupid you have to be to consider something that costs $1,700+ as "disposable".
It's great restorations bringing a implement that could have been out in the open for 50 years and then resurrect it back to life and gaining knowledge on the journey 👍
What an incredibly sturdy machine and very thorough restoration. Surprised it had a 12v accessory port 40 years ago
Came back to comment again after watching the whole video. You did an amazing job with this one my friend. The black grille looks a lot better than the old white one. Contrasts well with the orange and black with the rest of the tractor. You made it breathe new life again!
I admire the patience & time you have devoted to this tractor ! Does he have a special place in your heart ? It's a pity that once restored you used it it was all clean
What a cool old machine. I was made to start mowing the 100 acres when I was seven years old. Steep and tall ditches, fields, yard, and pine forest with grass,….these machines take me back on a journey through life and time.
I knew a big restoration was coming up because of the time since your last upload and have been so eager for the video to drop. I felt like a little kid waiting for his favorite movie to hit theatre’s and you absolutely delivered with this restoration. Enjoyed every second of it.
Marvelous restoration, and it's not just a pretty face -- the cut quality is superb with the slasher plate, and the engine sounds remarkable. Very well done, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. I'm inspired.
That gearbox is a work of art!!!!!!
Wow. This is absolutely outstanding work. Not just the mechanical work but the video editing too. Well done 👍
Thank you so much 😀
I think that's the best of all you restorations yet that mower has another 50 to 60 years left in it because of you well done 10/10 bravo and the rest keep it up
Ridiculously pleasant sound from that engine. Fantastic job!
My friend, you did an absolutely phenomenal job on this machine! The amount of time, effort and patience that it obviously took is incredible! I cant say it enough. EXCELLENT VIDEO! I cant wait to see more! Cheers my friend!
I think this machine does a better job cutting then a current machine. Not even close. Fantastic job!
I have. 1965 Simplicity Landlord that I still use. I bought it in 1978 and owned it ever since. Still running!
Loving every restoration video you post Daggerwin, fantastic work! Keep it coming 👍
Thanks 👍
@@MachineryRestorer To do a restoration like this you need a lot of skills to do all the jobs ... congratulations !! flawless work .... just perfect. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
No wonder it's been two months since the last video. Impressive restoration.
What a fantastic set of skills you have, a REALtradesman, your attention to detail something else. 👏 👏👏👏
No comments, no awful stupid techno music, just a skilled man how knows what is doing and doing it well done on a piece of garbage I would trash because I don`t have the time, the money or the patience to deal with... Respect to the man, great entertaining channel!
Man I'm 15yrs old, don't understand too much about restoring (though I want to learn how to) but this was very satisfying to watch loved the video and appreciate the hard work put into it. I can't say how happy I am to see it get to see it get supported as well as it has, great audience. Overall a great quality experience and restoration.👍to the creator/restorer, job fantastically done!
If you’re seriously interested you should find an old mower and just start working on it. There are tremendous resources out there on the internet that you can access. If you know someone who tinkers like this you can start asking them questions about your project and you will probably find someone who can be your mentor. I loved your comment!! Best of everything to you!!
Cheers to an expect machine restorer! Absolutely magnificent restoration project.
Daggerwin got ALL the tools dude!!! Well done man didn't realise you was so passionate about restorations and rebuilding engines!
The fact that you took the time to torque all the engine bolts properly is the sign of a true professional. Great job! I'd say this turned out better than new
What a superb job you have done and very relaxing to watch. Cheers
Absolutely awesome attention to detail there... even down to putting together a full new wiring loom... with heatshrink! I loved this... thanks so much for creating it!
Love your channel good work old school got my interest your doing fine please keep old school in mind thank you
Best restoration of any machine i have watched especially being british and forty years old The junk they sell today will be gone and that machine will still be working
Great watch, end result was worth all that effort. Will look forward to a winter update with the snow plough in action.
Very enjoyable, and what a result of the blood sweat and tears and your time that you put into that project 🙂
That gearbox cleanup was one of the best things I’ve seen on CZcams.
Man, watching all these guys, Awesome Restorations,Odd Tinkering,Chip Channel, these guys are SOOO GOOD 😆😅🤣💯💯💯💯💯👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I tip my hat to ALL OF THEM 😂😂💯💯💯💯💯👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Well I go in for old car / bike and vintage hi-fi restoration videos but I thoroughly enjoyed this and I watched for the whole two hours. Perfect and steady camera angles; not a jerky piece of footage anywhere. Smart editing with sped up segments where needed both help to move this story along at the correct pace. And the captions are to the point, unlike so many on CZcams that insert stupid comments, smillies and a demand that we like & subscribe every three minutes; not this guy. Great stuff.
This is probably the best one you've done so far. I love the coloring pattern on the vehicle. The designers definitely got the colors right for the vehicle because it just looks like a modern ride-on lawnmower, despite it being made in 1982. Keep up the good work! :D
Watching you mow that lawn on that beauty was therapeutic.
I grew up riding an old grey Craftsman, mowing 5 acres.
You are men with gold hands thanks God for guys like you to show this new generation how things can work again with hard work and nerves of steel great job hope to see more restorations from you God bless
what a fantastic job you did- mowers are great
What an absolute treat! Your videos are so satisfying. More like this please! I could watch your content all day. Only complaint I have is no narration. you have such an excellent speaking voice. I would love to see a video similar to this with narration.
I can’t believe you mowed with it! That piece should be in a museum! 😂 I bet Westwood would pay to have it in their factory (if still in business)
Absolutely massive job,Beautiful to watch from start to finish.
It's really cool how original this thing was when you started. Someone has put hundreds of hours using it but probably took very good care of it for most of its life
Incredible work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉 it must have been very rewarding to finally get that mower all together to truly return it to it's former purpose. No greater feeling
Thoroughly enjoyed this vid.
I have a smaller Westwood with a tow along sweeper that was bought in the seventies and still giving good service
Good job. Bloody good job in fact. Best restoration I've seen on the internet. Aircraft cable looming instead of zip ties on the wiring harness would have been really impressive.
Wow this is by far the best thing I have watched on CZcams. Your attention to detail and knowledge is unbelievable. Your a very clever and skilled man
Another amazing job and what a beast that mower is.
Not only are you a master at what you do, you must have the patience of a saint..well done mate.
I agree, the very best I have seen also, bloody excellent job, you deserve a a medal for that kind of restoration.
The whole video was spot on; I greatly appreciate all the effort that goes into the editing and "how-to" e.g. engine/tranny rebuilds, mower deck, wiring, etc simply to provide us with a video, but honestly from 1:27:00 to the end was terrific. You did such a great job preparing for the final assembly that it felt like I was seeing a new 2022 tractor being assembled for the first time. *Hats off to you* on the overall great job you did; start-to-finish.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
Fascinating restoration as usual, a joy to watch the transformation, and seriously impressed by how well it looked when finished and the job it did on that long grass. Thanks
Wow! An absolute master class! Brilliant video presentation -- logical, compact, informative, clear! Tools and materials I've never heard of -- a ball hone! Valve lapping! Fifty stars!
Love these no commentary videos. Keep them coming!
Seriously impressive work. Of all the videos on the channel I must say this one was really noteworthy for me. Well done sir!
Great work! Your attention to detail is very impressive. I’d love to see an update on this machine when you tryout the snow plow.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to watch such craftsmanship
I am so happy you make these videos. It helping me learn and apply what I've learned to my own projects. Thank you. If I had a passport and money I'd travel to meet you and pick your brain regarding small engine/engine repair and builds.
Truly excellent work, as always. This machine looks brand new and mows beautifully!
really great job! I can't believe how well those cylinder walls came out, I'd say they look better than factory. Just everything turned out awesome
Just sharing from my experience, an old dinner spoon works great for removing that grease. Outstanding restoration as always.
You guys have some really beautiful mowers across the pond . I have been looking for blades like this for years. . it cuts like a mad dog in tall grass . what a nice Machine .
