Let’s clarify this . A person’s culture should not be attributed to their standard of living. The fact that some African live in huts 🛖 does not mean we’re poor …it’s our culture. The fact that we are not wearing designer clothes does not mean we’re poor ….we have our own way of life and a peculiar way of dressing. Real poverty arose in Africa when we decided to adopt the western meaning of Wealth in our life .

@Trevon Womack Although your response has no connection to my comment. But then we are here to learn. In 2021, it is good you base your comment on evidence not assumption. A war on the back of falsehood,is a lost war. You can check this out: Malcolm X visited Nigeria on two occasions, one in 1959 and the other in 1964. His first visit to Nigeria in 1959 was to arrange a tour for Elijah Muhammad, the leader of ‘ Nation of Islam‘, a black Muslim organization in America. Malcolm X’s second visit to Nigeria was in 1964. During this visit, he rendered a beautiful and brilliant speech at the Trenchard Hall in University of Ibadan . Also, at a reception held at the Students’ Union hall for Malcolm X by the Muslim Students’ Society, the Yoruba name ‘ Omowale‘ which literally means ‘the child has come home’ was bestowed upon him. At a press conference Malcolm addressed when he arrived in New York, he said the reception given to him by students in Nigeria was one of the highest honours he had ever received in his life.

Race has no place in a righteous Ummah. Besides, haven't you noticed many black African females chasing non black men? I lived in Europe for 10 years and just returned to the USA last summer. Black African women did not show interest in me but a tribal Amazigh woman from Morroco did show interest in me. Also there are many black Moroccans as well as blended families.

I'm a white guy with Celtic origin so it isn't my ancestral home but I was invited by a couple of good Ghanaian friends living in the Accra region (one in the main city, one in Weija just outside) to come visit. Best week of my life, no exaggeration. The sense of pride in their heritage and culture by Ghanaian folk is so strong and they channel that pride in their generosity and openness, everybody was so excited to introduce me to culture whether it was food or music. So many smiles, waves, handshakes, hugs, "welcome to Ghana Oborɔnyi". I adore Ghana and when I return to travel and start to vlog my travels I will definitely return to Ghana and show what I love.
