- This is the brand new BUGATTI TOURBILLON! Join me in Molsheim for a first look at Bugatti's awaited successor to the Chiron, a first all new model in 20 years. Limited to 250 cars, featuring a hybrid V16 powertrain, we're spoiled to an introduction with Mate Rimac. Let's check it out!
It's a completely new era for Bugatti, now operating as Bugatti-Rimac, the Tourbillon follows the closing of the W16 chapter with the Mistral. After the Veyron launched 20 years ago and re-wrote the definition of what was possible, the Chiron arrived as a natural successor, and now it's a new time and therefore an all new model.
The name represents that of the finest of watch movements, a Tourbillon, and nowhere shows that more closely than the dashboard sitting within a floating steering wheel. However, the exterior is where we began; a natural successor to the models that have come before it, cloaking an all new hybrid powertrain.
With an 8.3l naturally aspirated V16 engine making 1,000hp and revving to 9,500rpm, the total output is further supported by a trio of electric motors for a total of 1,800hp combined with a 25kWh battery pack which can offer 50-70km of electric only range, while also supporting the immense performance including a top speed limited to 278mph.
It has been an honour to visit the Chateau St Jean to explore the new Bugatti Tourbillon ahead of the global debut, and to preview it with Mate Rimac, President of Bugatti-Rimac.

@@Kigoz4Life That's just a 3d printed model of the gauges, not the real thing. The real thing is made like a watch, it has actual gears inside that move the gauges and it will all be opened and visible in action.
The way Mate is looking at the car and explaining all the little details is just so real and authentic! This guy is one of the greatest automotive pioneers of our time, if not the greatest.

The best thing is that it looks like a concept car but it's actually the production model and that's a huge compliment to Bugatti and Mate
It looks futuristic but it doesn’t look alien and that’s a very difficult thing to achieve. Amazing design, I just wish the grill was reduced slightly in length

This Bugatti has the most stunning gauge cluster I’ve ever seen. The video of it in motion with the sound of the V16 was incredible!
This is the first Bugatti I actually find visually attractive. That front end is STUNNING.
There's MANY reasons why I love this car, but one of the most important one is that interior, not a touch screen to be seen, it's PURE elegance. The Toubillion mechanism for the instrument cluster is next level, along with the other interior controls. It takes current trends and SMASHES them, that's why this car won't date, it's already an instant classic.
For something that looks like a design evolution from the outside, the powertrain is a complete revolution. IMO, they knocked it out of the park with this one!

The Veyron to Chiron was a design evolution, this look like something that came from the unused archives of Chiron prototype ideas.

I’m more interested in the E30 honestly. This redesign visually looks weird in my opinion. It lacks the elegance of the previous designs. Something just sticks out with this design. It’s too long in the front.
I wanted to see a ground breaking Bugatti, but it’s a deformed Chiron with electric motors and a battery. It is nowhere near as elegant as any Chiron in my opinion. I think the Jesko is going to take the crown. Being a Bugatti fan from the beginning, the Koenigsegg flagship cars look and perform better at this point . This thing is ugly.

It’s amazing to see a person who started up his own car company in a small country end up becoming the president of Bugatti, and kick things off with a completely awe-inspiring mix of heritage and technology! Man’s lived the absolute dream, and manages to be humble enough to credit the engineers behind this space-age vehicle towards the end there. 10/10 all around, this is amazing.

When I heard Rimac was put at the head of Bugatti I thought it was over for it but my God I was wrong! I absolutely love this car, the engineering and the design are exquisite and I've never use this word to describe a car. Pure art.

I have been counting down the days all month for the reveal! I was a little worried about Mate Rimac taking over but he has completely won me over. I’m in love yet again this car is beautiful and I can’t wait to see the special design cars that come off this chassis.

They really have upped their styling since the Veyron. The changed it enough without going overboard to keep it a good looking car.

I am normally not a huge fan of Bugatti, but this model, and the interior is amazing.
I honestly thought that this new Bugatti would disappoint. Be an EV, be a practical super-GT. And man....I love how wrong I was. Mate Rimac not only understood the assignment of making a real Bugatti, but he went for maximum grade possible! Just the skeleton dials and the way to start the engine are so unnecessary, but at the same time so gorgeous and amazing and perfect. I think this car is way more shocking than the Chiron

This actually looks nice. I never thought the previous models looked very good because of the weird length and width proportions until they released the chiron super sport which i liked, glad this was nice from the get go
For me this is the best Bugatti ever made... Its exactly what I would want as a Bugatti Customer.. Sadly I am not going to be one of those lucky 250 people...

@@all-caps3927 Tourbillon and the horological industry is barely known by normal people, mainly watch enthusiasts and people who understand how the invention increased accuracy. If we were in the age where people used watches the way they used to, and could afford a watch with the Tourbillon mechanical addition, then yes it would be less difficult. But, in this day and age, most people have never even come close to a mechanical watch unless they are enthusiasts. BTW its Tourbillon not Tourbillion.
I could say the same thing about Japanese project managament methods like Ikigai or Kaizen. Something that is also only used by a group of people that you could compare in some way to watch enthusiasts (being corporate workers and business professionals). But, to hear Westen corporate and business professionals butcher the pronounciation and call them hard to use words or something they have never heard of, is the exact same point you are using to reply to Joel.

It would be like Honda naming their next supercar Ikigai based on Japanese project management methodologies. Unless you are a business professional, few would have a clue what it is or how to pronounce it.
Ironically enough, the creator of Seiko even mentioned that one of the things about his creation is that his watches would be the biggest improvement since Tourbillon, and he is Japanese.
