  • Only after videoing this did I realise it was Palm Sunday. So thats why there was a celebratory market on. A pleasant suprise indeed.
Join me as I stumble upon a charming market in the centre of Poznan. I partake in grilled sausages, kebabs and grilled cheese wrapped in bacon. What's not to love.

In Poland, throwing bread into the trash is very inappropriate. Remember that. For Poles, bread is sacred. We didn't have much of it 30 years ago during communism, so we respect it very much.

@@samoht.p I've been coming to Poland for a long time and even unintentionally lived there for a stint. I've seen plenty of food wasted over the years. I have never heard or felt any special feelings about wasting bread. I am personally against wasting food on principle, but in this case there wasn't really an alternative.

I'm Polish and recently I've seen farmers pouring tons of Ukrainian grain out from wagons and trucks. And for Ukrainians grain and bread is even more sacred - it's in their national colours and as a nation they lived through even worse hardship than us... So either those farmers aren't really Polish or they are influenced of russian agencies. I'm very ashamed of this happening in Poland, after all we've done to help Ukraine.

Read about... All Ukrainian grain are very bad quality and poisoning with tones of pesticides. Check who owns the biggest hectares in the Ukraine. Maybe you can understand. God bless

Hi! Love your vids! Sorry for repeating that but bread in Poland is holy, please don't put in the litter. You could place in right below it or nearby so birds would eat it. Hope you're having a great time here. PS Looking for Polish wife? :D

@@GallivanterDom The soup is also popular in Poland. We call it Lithuanian cold soup - chłodnik litewski. In Poland, we have many dishes originating from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, because for many hundreds of years we created one country. I loved my grandparents' Lithuanian cold soup. It was a pre-war recipe from my great-grandparents' house. There was no egg there. There were thinly cut slices of veal or crayfish necks. 😉 This soup is popular today in the peasant version. The noble version was forgotten during communism. The cuisine of the townspeople and the nobility, and even the cuisine of the court, has been reborn in Poland for several years. There are good restaurants with traditional Polish cuisine, where you can eat like before the war.😊
