I'm half Italian half Polish, I am closer to my Italian heritage and we have a wider variety, but the homemade Polish Dishes are just as good, Sangwiches are friggin amazing. I was truly blessed with two ethnicticities that know how to eat. It's amazing I don;t weigh 500 lbs, God I love food, was blessed with Italian and Polish homemade mom and grandmas's home cooking....
I’m a southsider but if you think chitown is the best city you don’t get out much. Santa Monica and Atlanta are both better. Only thing we got that’s good is our greasy good food and our sports teams.
I used to get these and a grilled pork chop sandwich on Maxwell Street in the 1960's. You could smell the grilled onions a block away and, of course, the surroundings were the glory of the world's largest open air market and the cries of the vendors.
Seriously my favorite foods and condiments, a good piece of sausage, friggin love onions, love bread, and hot peppers....I would put sauerkraut on mine however, but either way, what a sangwich!!!!! Going grocery shopping in a few days, making this Sangwich, but like I said I am adding Kraut to mine...So excited...
The problem with Chicago and their amazing food scene, is the city has become so violent and fallen into such disarray that it is nearing the situation that it is too dangerous to go out and enjoy food especially at night. A shame too.
This is as close to Polish as fucking burito is, we never make goddamn hot dog of good sausage,, never eat raw onions with it, and this peper is just from another galaxy 1 thing which reminds me of polish is sausage ,bit to fine grind but at least looks similar.
Obama & Hillary for Jail you are a stupid Sox fan. The Cubs and Wrigley have a bigger seating capacity than Guarantee Rate Field idiot!!! 41,000 to 40,000. On top of that the Cubs sell out regularly and have for years. Not only that they're one of the biggest attractions on the road too. Cubs fans are in droves in every Stadium in America when they play there. Your Bum ass team, and fans should worry more about your team and how your rebuild is failing. The Cubs have already secured their 4th straight postseason ticket. The Cubs own Chicago and no one gives two shits about The Sox and That shit hole Bridgeport either.
I don't remember stacks at Jim's original place in Jewtown... They were in rows on the griddle.... 24 hours a day 7 days a week there was always a line and they couldn't make them fast enough... If I answer 60 seconds... that might be too long....
@@mariafajardo3711 exactly! I worked in jewtown in the 90s and no matter what time what weather, what season, people lined up, so nothing just sat aroud..and the onions on the grill smell heavenly! And there food isn't reheated or sitting under heat lamps... Fresh always!

100 percent agree and I’m originally from Nashville.

toast the bun lightly and gently lace it with honey... in some strange way it compliments the other ingredients \o/
I miss Brittany Payton
Long live Maxwell Street. Used to go with the old man looking for 'deals' going back to the late 50's. It's a different world now, sad to say.
Nothing stays the same. Enjoy your memories. Going 'home' now has no pull for me. Everything has changed. Home is now wherever my wife is.
Sweet Jesus, this is amazing.
Ah, I can almost taste that Polish again.
These few people shown on this program are probably the only ones who go to the games
Just went there last Tuesday and it was amazing
Uncle Ry-Ry said Yummy! Thanks for sharing.

Their sausages are made by Bobak’s. Mix of pork and beef.

Then you need to go to Jim's Original... Best pork chop sandwich in town!
Best food with reasonable price. I’m from China and I love your hot dogs.

That's why the sox stadium is always empty. #Cubs
So would Wrigley if the tourists who know nothing about baseball didn't go.
Jeremy Bracero Lol
They play in tiny Wrigley Field, and the Cubs still have lots of empty seats. LOL!!

@@ledflaplin2001 LOL
Jim's original is better thohgh
They advertise a bacon egg sandwich, which makes them unique but they can’t even put bacon on anything else. Jim’s better
Uhm how can you showcase Jim's original Maxwell polish on Chicago's best and then showcase this place??? Nope this place won't cut it!!!!
Jim's Original is better
But how long has those polish's been sitting there stacked up @jims??
Lol
I would tend to agree
@@cle-chi They have polish's stacked up at Maxwell Street Polish also. Wonder how long they have been stacked up there?.
