I heard that the voice actor for Vegeta in the actual series made it known that should he unexpectedly pass away, he wished for the Teamfourstar Vegeta actor to replace him.
When and where did Chris Sabat say this? Just want to see for myself because that would make Chris even cooler imo.

The line from Videl about Popo being allowed is because in one Kai version they made Popo blue so that he would less offensive. There was a joke made about it at the end of one of the episodes in the first season of a TFS episode but I don't remember which one it was. I think black Popo eats blue Popo or something like that.
Americans so wrapped up around racism and uneducated about the world around them saw popo as tacist.
They’re not trolling gokus voice in the manga and Japanese dub goku is meant to have a soft voice it’s only the English dub that his voice is a little hard
yeah it's kinda funny thinking he's supposed to have a soft voice with a country accent yet the dub is drastically different
@@zy1an Goku with a country accent would never work in English lol. Goku has a naive accent, not a country accent lol. And besides the country accent was a style choice created by Nozawa, he speaks regular kanji in the manga.

Not to mention most of this time was Vegeta being depressed that Goku's not around
Let's not forget that Vegeta never even hugged his own son once until his sacrifice

Here's some help with a couple of various things you missed, have no reason to know, and various other trivia:
3:32 What you missed Sharpner say was calling Videl a "nepo-baby", as in someone who is benefitting from nepotism. (Also, they decided to depict Sharpner as a sassy gay stereotype largely because of cast member and director Scott "Kaiserneko" Frerichs, who is gay and just wanted to go ham with the stereotype.)
14:16: Babidi says "Towa is going to be really pissed at me." Towa is an antagonist in several DBZ video games, a blue skinned demon who is Dabura's sister and rules the demon realm with him absent.
14:32 I'm not sure if you're referring to Vegeta's line or still the previous segment when you said "I didn't hear that part very well," but if you meant Vegeta, what he said was "Trunks, I am going to hug you for the first time ever."
And yes, the voice at the end is supposed to be Sharpner/that blonde high schooler.
Also, I think at least part of the reason they portray Goku with a higher pitched voice than the English dubs (something that you mentioned quickly) is because in Japan Goku is actually voiced by a woman.
TFS didn't stop at the Buu Saga because of copyrights. They had to fight them since the beginning of Abridged. They were burned out after more than 10 years of intense work.
They just had no strength left to do it anymore, which is absolutely understandable. They made an apology video in which they explained themselves under tears why they couldn't continue and it was heart wrenching.
TFS then stole the Patreon money meant for DBZA S4 and ran with it. They deserve no respect.
Copyrights was also part of it.

@bluetone-amv You're an idiot. Since day one, TFS made it very clear that any Patreon donations would NOT be going towards DBZA. The money went towards a studio (which they got) and original productions (which they do). If you didn't pay attention to that, it's your own fault.
So babidi was saying "Oh shit Towa is going to be pissed at me. Eh bitch is barely canon anyways" Towa is the sister of Dabura, she appears only in the DBZ XenoVerse games where she has taken over as the Demon Queen and built herself a Demon Android to be her servant. Also when Elder Kai was talking about who sealed him I believe he was about to say Bibidi
Correction: Towa (& her Demon Android servant, Mira) have apparently been in video games since Dragon Ball online and have been making appearances in pretty much every Dragon Ball game released since, her main role is showing up and screwing with the timeline.
Not sure if they (Towa and Mira) will be in Sparking Zero but I can’t imagine they’d exclude them at this point.

7:50 this pair of lines from Goku and Piccolo is a reference to OG Dragonball, when Piccolo and Goku fought in the tournament and Piccolo shot a beam through Goku's torso. However he missed all of Goku's vital organs, and Piccolo cries out, "All of them??!?" just like how he says it here
6:15 I'm not sure I've laughed at a TFS joke harder than I laughed at this one.
Often, especially in the later episodes, it took them longer than a month. It took them a whole year to get episode 60 part 1 out.
Yeah so Super has its up and downs like you say, issue is the "down" is pretty much front loaded to the first 30+ episodes lol
It does get a lot better, but most people just dropped it while it was bad.
fun fact almost every single VA who played a saiyan passed out in the recording booth at some point. Hell the Kai voice of Freeza literally was dying and finished his lines with an oxygen tank. He later recieved a double lung transplant, got better, and then died of complications. :(
The TFS guys are very skilled voice actors some of them have even done official work in dragonball games. Hit them really hard was a call back to the metal cooler movie. Are you allowed is a call back to when cell transformed to semi p-cell, and piccolo was offended by his lips then they said is he offended by popos lips? w hen the super saiyan-jin 3 transformation was done Sean Schemmel did in fact pass out in the booth. I know for a fact I confirmed at an anime convention he was at and i also have a video of him and I doing the fusion dance together on my youtube. man has a heart of gold. It used to take them WAY longer earlier on to make an episode like 6 months to a year.

21:38 There's this ongoing joke through the series that many people miss involving rocks being food.
TFS went more accurate to the real Goku's voice which makes the Kamehameha wave way cooler. Also Goku in the English version they tried to make him more of a hero or a savior but in the Japanese originally Goku has always been more selfish and just interested in fighting stronger opponents, which is why he ended up letting his enemies like Piccolo and Vegeta alive so he could fight them when they became stronger.
Also Goku is much better father in the Japanese version but Goku is more of a Warrior father, not the American type father. TFS version of Goku is dumb for comedy purposes.
Goku wanted to raise Gohan to be a brave warrior that could be able to protect his loved ones because he knew he wouldn't live forever so he was trying to pass the torch to Gohan and the Cell saga was supposed to be the end of Goku passing the torch to Gohan but Goku is massively popular in Asia and Latin America which is the biggest Dragon Ball population in the world so Akira Toriyama felt a little pressured to bring Goku back.
Vegeta is mainly popular in the U.S. as far as I'm aware but in the rest of Asia and Latin America Goku dominates in popularity by a landslide. (which is the largest fanbase in comparison to the U.S.)
That's why the Dragon Ball Z Kai dub is more accurate to the Japanese.

Most people prefer Goku's sub voice because he sounds like a grown man, and Sean 's voice when he screams sounds more intense.
Also Sean is a dick in irl.
Meanwhile Masaka Nozawa is a sweet old lady who is very passionate about her role as Goku and plans on voicing him till she dies
Little lore concerning 25:44 : So in the manga, Goku offered lewds of Bulma to Elder Shin in exchange for his help. Vegeta got wind of it and angrily asked Goku why he didn't offer up lewds of Chi-Chi. To which Goku replied: I would! But Chi-Chi's flat chested!

Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods and Resurrection F movies are different from the anime. The rest of the series takes place after the movies.
They didn't make a series of the Buu saga, these are just jokes they came up with.

I think Videl's pronouns comment is less to do with Gotenk's perceived gender, and more to do with they/them being used in the plural sense, as in it's two people rather than one. She isn't questioning his gender, just whether he's one or two people.

actually, I'd say that abridged Goku's voice is closer to JP dub Goku rather than close to the EN dub
GT had one good arc, the Baby arc was kind of nice. Omega Shenron arc behind it, but the problem is that it took a while to get to the good part and it turned out to not be nearly as good as Z.
Also Super does have ups and downs, but it is overall a more lazy and silly series. Stuff happens, just because.... and for fan service. Overall still both series couldn't even come close to either Z or Original DB.

Nah, disagree with you about Goku and Vegeta, Goku didn't return after being killed by Cell's self-destruction because he thought that the Earth would be safer that way. Vegeta is always training in Super aswell, so singling out Goku is in no way consistent or fair. Goku relies on others to get stronger, but Vegeta relies only on himself and as a result isn't just focusing on surpassing Goku but also everyone else that happens to be strong!
Vegeta had also been raised with a sense of entitlement he doubled down on because he remembers his father and people being killed by Freeza! Not that Vegeta doesn't have good reasons for being the way that he is and Goku might seem to only give a shit about fighting, but at least he actually learns for the most part and isn't self-centered and rigid about it like Vegeta usually is!
Now, in Super you do get a role reversal to a degree with Vegeta being the one to recognise that they need to train their minds rather than their bodies, but people seem to have selective memories and forget that this is technically what Goku was already doing with UI lol training to empty your mind and rid it of unnecessary chatter that could cloud your heart in order to be a better fighter is still training your mind.
I think that people tend to have selective memories when they think of Goku and Vegeta, citing Goku as impractical for wanting to keep his enemies alive to his own detriment forgetting that he does so to learn from them lol this is precisely why he wants Krillin to spare Vegeta after their first fight! Also the time that Goku spends working in the fields for his family 🙄
Plus you could argue that some of Vegeta's need to spend time with his family is still just an extension of pride in himself to a degree and most of the time he looks like he would rather not be with them lol obliviousness isn't necessarily selfishness even when people are determined to confuse the 2!
Dragonball Gt isn't a part of the main story because it isn't from the dragonball creator. And i would watch the two movies battle of gods and then frezzers return and then start on episode 30 in Super
