This is a low psi (60) machine so the restriction is negligible. The kit also includes an adapter for standard water hose fitting so the choice is yours. I have no issues with flow using the 1/2 in. Diameter barb though🤘🏾

I would love a 1 year update on those penta valves. I have seen so many crack, but it could be that the person over tightened. Looks good, but did it last?
The pent valve, by what I hear, work well but are kinda fragile. Remember the pumps, no matter what brand, make them about a season and need to be replaced or rebuilt. But this setup is very cost-friendly to get our foot in the door.

Man! I've been researching forever to try to find the best softwashing system for my needs and this seems to be it! Plus since it's mostly prebuilt, that helps a lot! Although, I have a question. Could I void the water drop stick and just pull water from my pressure washing buffer tank instead? (and what size tank should I use for SH?)
The guys down at Texas pressure washing shot a video of the soaker gun with two seven gallon per minute pumps and it was awesome but I don't think I would suggest it with just one seven or one five gpm. I get more distance with the self-wash wand

For most people I would say because it is much more cost efficient than a gas roof pump and can do almost the same thing minus the distance a gas pump can shoot.
Obviously it's all going to depend on your maintenance. Make sure that after you are finished running chemical through it that you run water through it for at least 5 minutes. That's what I do after every wash. I don't wash every day so for me it should last me at least a full year or maybe even longer. But as far as the build of the system, I don't see any problems with it in the near future. These pumps though will eventually go out and they're inexpensive to replace

speaking of cameramen, have you ever thought of using a camera "Tripod" for your camera? Can't belive that many people have not thought of this being used to film as they work. And it costs less than hiring a FT camera operator.... on some spots in your video.....
Sure but doesn't everything have a life span? These typically last an entire year for me and at $125 it pays for itself. The very first time a job is completed. I recommend running straight water through it. After every wash you should be good to go 🤘🏾

I would do that if I didn't have multiple tanks. That is called batch mixing and the downfall of batch mixing is that you cannot adjust the strength of your mix. By having the proportioner I can adjust the strength of my mix for multiple surfaces. Therefore, if I am washing a vinyl house, I might use less than a 1% mix, whereas if I were cleaning a roof, I might use as much as a 6% mix. Hopefully this helps 🤘🏾
@@davidintili6647 but if a soft wash system isn't in the budget I would recommend an Xjet. It comes with proportioners and will allow you to spray a stronger mix than downstreaming.

Yeah I paid like $850 and that was last year I believe now they're up to like $1100 I didn't start with this though, I just used downstreaming to clean everything and now that I want to get into some heavier work, the softwash system is more necessary. Let me know how you pieced together at $300 soft wash system as I look at it right now. 5 gallon per minute pumps are around $125 and 200 ft of hose is going to cost you nearly another $200 but I assume it could be done. Can't wait to see the results 🤘🏾
Depends on who you ask🤣 I've seen it mounted either way but I prefer this direction because if anything goes wrong this way will save your pump because the water will just fall to the ground rather than inside the mechanism 🤘🏾
FYI: not a good filter to use as I heard a lot with those the sh will break that screen down quickly causing orange rust bits to quickly develop contaminating your sh and clogging your pump.

You don't even need a 7 GPM. Just get the 5 GPM. It'll save you money and chemical🤘🏾

Yes, I use the Battery Tender Plus 1.25amp charger. I know a lot of guys on CZcams use Noco which work great as well so you could go either way.

FYI: not a good filter to use as I heard a lot with those the sh will break that screen down quickly causing orange rust bits to quickly develop contaminating your sh and clogging your pump.
The filter is only on the water line. Think I'm going to slot the PVC on the SH line 🤘🏾 thanks for the feedback
