- This video is about How To Prime A Gas Soft Wash System
This video is applicable for both AR45 & P40 Pumps.
In this video we go over how to prime your pump and your manifold to ensure proper flow, and functionality!
Great video man!
Thank you
Wow nice video
Thank you so much for this. This is INCREDIBLY useful to people just starting out! Quick question. When priming the metering valve, should we fill those hoses up too?
The way I see it:
You filled up the inlet hose from the pump to the metering valve, but didn’t fill the hoses up from the metering valve to the tanks. Should we do that? Or could you explain this part a bit more please? Thank you so much!
Yeah so good question! The main thing that creates the most headache is the pump itself and the metering system outlet to the inlet of the pump. TYPICALLY, if those two items are filled then it will naturally draw. Now if you have a super long supply hose for both water and Chem you’ll probably have some issues and filling those hoses up with water or chemical would be beneficial. But I would try this method first and then go further if needed
@@properexteriorSorry for the late reply, thank you so much! How big of a deal is it if I can only fill the supply hose up to about 50%?
@@MEIKLE02 so I don’t think it’s that much of an issue assuming everything else is OK.
As long as there is the majority of that hose filled, that’s going to help the pump .
Can you make a video on how to delete the gas tank off the small engine and connect it to the bigger tank
Yes it’s on the list of upcoming videos for this year!
Just remove your gas tank and the fuel line running to the carburetor or to the fuel pump depending on what motor you have and then run a line from the big gas tank to your carburetor or your fuel pump.
can you run gas soft wash metering valves without the remote on on/off switches?
Yes, you would just have to adjust manually. That’s not an issue at all
Why does my ar 45 have a valve on the supply to reel and yours doesn’t? Im trying to install mine and that valve is in the way because i need that yellow hose to go upwards.
I got rid of it, it’s a major flow restriction and it’s not necessary for our industry. You can remove it! Then just get a 3/8” male pipe thread x 3/4 or 1/2” barb for your output hose to the reel!
North Georgia airless also has these adapters in stock!
@@properexterior thank you brother 🙏🏻🙏🏻
What ball valve are you using? How can I build one/buy ty!!
Hydroseal 1/2” threaded ball valve with a 1/2” Mosmatic swivel.
Amazon sells the ball valve.
Kleen rite sells the swivel
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Why did you take off the factor outlet valve? Can you do this process with the factory one on? Thanks
It reduces flow quite a bit. I HIGHLY recommend removing it. It’s the same exact process, all you do is take the black plastic piece off and keep the valve open when priming.
Can you show a quick video short of how you have it set up? Thanks
What fitting replacements did you use on the pump going to the hose reel? I would like to do the same with removing that valve. Thanks
@@christopherdodson323 it’s a 3/8” mpt x 1/2” fpt fitting. Then a 1/2” mpt x 3/4” male barb with three-quarter inch hose
@@properexterior and the top is just a 3/4 check valve to 3/4m x 3/4 barb?
You have to do this every morning?
If you want accurate ratios, yes
