Thanks for the video man. Used your advise on pulling the fuse in the engine compartment instead of disconnecting the battery, and used your advise on color matching the wires in the door light bulb to the color in the harness. Your video, plus the written instructions worked like a charm for a painless installation. Thanks again man.

I have a 2018 Camry... I have installed my illuminated door sill and it works until I press the unlock button for my door...
Once do that, the door sill stop illuminating...
What did I do incorrectly???
Hello, The only thing that I can think of is that you have connected the input power of the door sills to the wrong wire of the vehicle. The wire you have spliced to could be a wire to the lights of your switches or dash accent lights and so on. These lights might turn off when you unlock your vehicle or lock it. Try to look at the paper instructions for your specific vehicle by searching the pdf online as I haven't installed these on a 2018 Camry I am unsure as to which wire it might be. Hope that helps!
I found it to be a black wire on the driverside and a pinkish/tanish wire on the passenger side. I have a 2019 camry se
i got the factory instructions and got strange beeping when i touch the door handle of my 2017 avalon. the colors matched up with your method and the factories so i am at a loss for a solution. i have only done the drivers side so that is my only thing i can think is it is unbalanced.
No you shouldn't have issues if you have only done one side. Maybe a wrong wire was tapped? Did you try to trace the wires to the correct lights? Also try to trace the beeping if possible, what is beeping? Let me know if anything helps.
I think the beeping was...I did not plug it back in...I went to the passenger side and found that the factory colors did not match up, so I followed your advice by looking for the colors of the door courtesy light. They were in another plug, so I connected to those. - Success. I then went back to the driver’s side and realized that I had not plugged it in, so I did, and everything checked out. Thanks for the guidance, it was good having another sage advice to go along with the factory instructions.

Hello, No there is not. Each door has it's own seal surrounding the corresponding opening, hope that helps!

Trying to do this on a Land Cruiser 200. I know the trick for finding right wires but the colors aren’t the same. What tool do I use to test the voltage when I open and close the door?
Hello! You can try to use a multimeter (Voltage Reader) and then find the switch that the door pushes on when closing and test the voltage without actually closing the door but rather just pressing the switch by hand on and off so you can see the voltage fluctuate indicating that the wire truly is dependent on status of the door, whether ot is open or closed. Hope that helps!

You can prong the different connectors where they connect in the fuse box and then trace the cable to where you want to splice. Hope that helps!

Yes, the sills in back do not light, but I also agree, they look better than the originals.

I am not sure as I did not do any research for another vehicle but you can search on Amazon or Ebay to see if they do sell OEM or aftermarket designs.
They way they make it to wire those up is terrible. Has to be an easier way

would this work on a 2008 XLE model?
Yes. The concept is the same as far as the installation goes but the sills themselves would be different than these ones so you would have to look for the ones made for your vehicle. Hope that helps!

-INFL3GACY- the wire u tapped into, does it go to the dome light, or another interior light?
The wires I tapped go to the door courtesy lights.

yes you should be able to as long as you have the correct part number that belongs to your vehicle. i.e. call your local dealer to point you in the correct direction for your vehicle. Hope that helps.
@@INFL3GACYOFFICIAL i saw a video on youtube regarding 2019 RAV4. But he could not find the connection where the door lights turns on/off. He connected it somewhere that it will turn on the lights and won't turn OFF when the engine is on and it will only turns off when the engine is off. Any idea where to find the right wiring for the 2019 RAV4 so that the LED light will turn on ONLY when the doors are open and turns off when the doors are closed? Thanks so much.
You need to always connect the sills to the wires that power the light on the door. You can locate this with the method I showed in the video by taking that specific door light out and checking the colors of the wire, then check the voltages as the door closes and opens. This will determine whether or not those are the correct wires. Hope that helps.

I see, you can locate any lights in the car that power on when the door opens, or any location there is power when the door opens. This is the best solution if the car has no courtesy lights whatsoever on the door. Hope that helps!

No. The rear sills are not Illuminated.

Should’ve just bought the higher trim xse premium or xle with it instead of buying all this aftermarket which does lower the value since it was installed after the factory.
he has the XLE. which is the top trim. XSE premium is not offered for 2013. it's an accessory, which can only be optioned if you ordered the car off the website and got it delivered. which most people dont do.
@@willhamilton9220 2012-2014.5 SE optional , SE LIMITED standard, XLE optional and XLE PREMIUM standard. 2015-2017 XSE optional, XSE PREMIUM standard, XLE optional and XLE PREMIUM standard. That’s for Camrys.
My 2014 AVALON XSE LIMITED also had everything in it.
