- Denzel takes a turn at being Liam Neeson in this movie that is very sinful, but still not unentertaining.
Jeremy wrote a book: theablesbook.com
Next week: Something animated, something disasterish.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins do YOU want to see recounted?

the biggest sin of all....why, knowing that he can kill you with virtually anything crock screws , glasses, scissors, etc, would you follow him into a home depot? the only way that could be dumber is if they followed him into a gun store.
would be a way smarter place actually, the guy never pick a gun
Reminds me of that commercial where the three young adults are fleeing from a horror movie character and rather than jumping into the running car, they decide to hide in the tool shed. The killer is just standing there like, "wtf...?"
Vincent Glory They didn't really. They weren't there when he killed his men. They only saw how they looked afterwards. They didn't see him scan the room like he did, and he didn't even use most of the objects there as weapons. He used one guy's gun against another and another guy's knife against himself, so he really only used one or two objects there, which was the objects he stuck through one of the guy's throats, so the 118 people who liked your comment failed so hard, including you for making it.
that's true!!
id love to see Cinema Sins direct a movie. it better be fucking flawless
Your picture scares me beyond reason. The more I look, the scarier it gets.
huneylove5 i get that a lot lol
and then they will do everything wrong of their movie lol
Zefanya Lt "Cinema Sins does Everything Wrong With Cinema Sin's Movie in x amount of minutes"
People having been doing satirical commentaries of movies for a very long time now. No one actually expects a movie to be flawless; commentaries are something people do to amuse themselves when they watch a film. People often compare going to the movies with me to watching an episode of Mystery Science Theater. Although I though I make numerous observations throughout the film, people tend to laugh their asses off. If you don't find this entertaining at all, then why bother?
This movie was pretty much just two hours of watching Denzel Washington be awesome.
Tissan Young Nothing wrong about that lol
Tissan Young
Well stated, thank you....
Ur right just like Jason Bourne, The Punisher, and The Transporter I will stop here!!! Gotta go take a dump before I start on Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch!
He should start using a sin similar to the one he likes for Liam Neeson.
"Denzel isn't killing anyone in this scene." {ding!}
And I'm ok with that.
i think Denzel Washington and Liam Neeson should make a movie called Takequalizer..
omg, that would be cool
or the title can be Set Of Skills
Yeah, that
Takequalizer Wick
Takequalizer Wick Reacher
#38 is cheap. They're cleaning up after a fire. Of course they will be closed, regardless of what the sign says.
Mustang424 change th sign
Because after a fire that almost ruins your business the first thing you're worried about is your sign? Some things you just have to let go in the heat of the moment...
Why change the sign when after the finish cleaning they will most likely open to normal hours.
most of them are cheap, which is usual for this channel
+BlitzTankTV This channel really degraded over time.
You brought up a great point. I now want to see an action movie from the perspective of the bad guys, where the unkillable hero is like a horror villain
isn't that kinda like john wick?
I Saw The Devil
Batman
Thats kind of the whole point in regards to his motivations, it's not that he particularly cared about the girl (although he did) it was that he had the ability to do something about it.
+Sam Ancer
Also he's a widower with a pretty empty life (you see that with that boring ass thirty minutes of nothing) so of course the few people who do seem to notice and take an interest in his life are going to be rather significant. I understand the whole idea behind cinemasins but there's a difference between nitpicking and missing shit . Any big fan congrats on 5 million subs
Yeah it was more that he had the power to make a difference and stand up to evil instead of his love for the prostitute. He had the skill, ability and knowledge to take this syndicate down yet had previously decided to give it all up to live a normal life and try and reconnect with his late wife through reading her books.
Sin 53: I've been a security guard, it is 10x easier than they make it look here, you could be an amnesiac 90 year old and still get a licence. It's actually pretty scary how easy it is. I got trained with guys who were literally talking about how they just wanted to do it so they could beat people up, I shit you not.
Realest comment lol
@@barrylyndon5552 true. Lot of bs in this video.
@@vincentconti3633 idiots it is hard just cause it’s easy for you
Yeah, my friend has worked as a security guard for a couple years now. You just need to be able to walk, look at a monitor, and let people inside a business. He's seriously out of shape and would be lucky to even jog (he can't run) 100 yards without stopping.
Well, don't forget that a security guard, can't do much other than to watch and report, so this is why a 90 amnesiac year old can get a licence.
*Fanboy Moment* Denzel Washington just makes every film he's in. Nothing was appealingly special about this film, yet I went to watch it because he was in it and I ended up simply enjoying it because he was in it. I mean.. c'mon - the list goes on. Flight, American Gangster, Inside Man, Man on Fire, Training Day - even The Book of Eli and 2 Guns were both good. That John Q one which I don't remember all that well was mediocre at best and yet I still enjoyed it because of Denzel. Legend. I hope he does a Morgan Freeman and just carries on making a shit load of films past his 70's and even through his 80's.
I haven't seen flight, was it really good?
same goes for me. i feel like im never going to be let down when watching a denzel movie.
Swanky K flight's brilliant, a really good film, and as always, Denzel Washington's amazing in it
An amazing film through and through
Swanky K Yeah, it was great. Mostly because of him though haha
Every action movie cliche be damned; I totally loved this movie. I love it so much that I've even watched this CinemaSins episode over and over to get more Equalizer in from time to time.
becareful not to Equilize yourself to death.
"Here's My Business Card, So You'll Know Where To Kill Me Later" 😂😂😂
denzel totally nailed the character in this movie.Calm and cool and the fight sequence were awesome.
2014 was really full of movies with "bad russians". We aren't all bad, just ones in dota2 and cs:go
Jimmy De'Souza yeah, yeah, keep coughing with your brains washed by media.
Jimmy De'Souza Ghost army, yeah. We can't see them. We can't show them. But believe us guys - they're there.
Can we see at least one proof of "tens of thousands of brave liberators over there"? I can see reports and videos from rebel armies, total majority of which are made of simple men living there. ukrainian media claims they've killed few thousands of russian soldiers and destroyed few hundreds of russian armor (which is hilarious considering somali-like state of ukr army and tech), but still there's literally ZERO EVIDENCE of that but TONS of videos from rebel side without any professional soldiers. Not a picture of single body of a russian soldier, not a single photo from satellite, not a single video or a bit of information from inside "invading army", not a single fucking paper or document.
You guys seem to believe that it's possible to invade another country with an army of few thousand men all of which are silent, patriotic, don't have mobile phones, don't have internet in the middle of Europe - so there's no word from inside.
Jimmy De'Souza Crimea was obvious russian operation, with few hundres of obsious russian spetznaz units all over the peninsula. Can you see the same in eastern ukraine? All i can see in bunch of oldmen with random gear and soviet era tech.
Kekd about ukr weaponry. That's probably why mothers of ukrainian conscripts are trying to collect money for better weapon, ammunition and bullet proof vests. Not really because all the ukr army possess is rusty 20-30 years old soviet time gear. Their state is so poor they bought fucking Saxon armored taxis form UK (which were useless even in 1980s) - and managed to crash them on empty road on their way to Donbass.
That's probably why ukrainian conscripts are complaining in their videos that they got nothing but useless soviet all-time random crap and got abandoned by their government.
The only well equipped people in that conflict are ukrainian "volunteer battalions" like Azov - which is happened to be openly nazi.
So, you don't have any evidence still?
Jimmy De'Souza Beautiful. You have nothing to say - only empty beliefs - and still speak about delusion. What a disgrace.
Jimmy De'Souza Oh and btw - i forgot about little fact:
*The Chief of Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, General Viktor Muzhenko, is saying, in that news-report, which is dated on Thursday January 29th, that the only Russian citizens who are fighting in the contested region, are residents in that region, or of Ukraine, and also some Russian citizens (and this does not deny that perhaps some of other countries’ citizens are fighting there, inasmuch as American mercenaries have already been noted to have been participating on the Ukrainian Government’s side), who “are members of illegal armed groups,” meaning fighters who are not paid by any government, but instead are just “individual citizens” (as opposed to foreign-government-paid ones). General Muzhenko also says, emphatically, that the “Ukrainian army is not fighting with the regular units of the Russian army.”*
So, you know things better then ukrainian general? CNN and FOX didn't tell ya about that, did they?
11:57 - Ding goes off before the narrator stops talking and the sin counter goes up. * ding *
Lol good eye
This movie WAS a total cliche festival but GD if I don't love it
I loved the original TV show, too.
Mike Fly i
R P Bird - Me too! I have to hand it to whoever thought of having an obviously rich, a little overweight, British guy be a brutal champion for the little guy. That was awesome!
Back in the late eighties, I actually bought a really nice navy blue wool overcoat just like McCall’s because of that show (I still have it). The Jaguar was a little beyond my budget though...
I loved it,too!
It's a great action movie!
I KNOW THIS COMMENT WAS MADE 5 YEARS AGO AND THE DUDE IS PROB DEAD BUT ME TOO
Say what you wish, but I loved The Equalizer and can't wait for the next one!
Larry G New trailer for Equalizer relased today
The new equalizer was disappointing to see. Two hrs if set up for a ten minute fight
@@johncapen4951 it was so dissapointing
Really sad
Larry G time has ruined this comment I’m afraid.
say what you wish, but I hated The Equalizer and will not wait for the next one........... ha ha, Im just fucking Deduska,
its just to make a balance.
The fact that people commenting on this still don't realize this is meant for comedy and not actual critiquing of the movie. Usually.
*ding*
What comedy?
Eh, it used to have more actual sins, like objects moving positions from shot to shot, but I still agree.
Jordan Link
What do you mean 'used to'?
Jeremy *still* points out the 'objects moving' sin.
But hearing the exact same sins for every video would get pretty boring after a while
He still points out the more obvious things either way and presents it in an entertaining way. Couldn't ask for more.
Problems with The Equalizer:
-Bland Design
-Blocks Healing
-Weaker Damage at full health
...waits for someone to get the reference
Ever seine they split in two with the Escape Plan it has not been the same. I miss the old one.
Also he probably could do with an Escape Plan in future in case he needs a quick get away...
I hate that they separated it into two different items :c
BBW eheheheheheheheh
I think it's impossible for people to not get the reference.
@7:14 "no matter the situation, Teddy has his picture taken like he is going to be on a baseball card" LMAOOOOOO
NO SIN FOR THE VILLAIN BEING CALLED VLADIMIR PUSHKIN!!!! That's like a Russian movie's main villain is Black Obama.
Certainly not as bad as "Jean Vilain" in "The Expandables".
3:33 not a sin because the shop was caught on fire for not paying protection money to the crooked cops so they were cleaning up which was why they were closed. But you knew that because you pointed it out at 4:44
AlphaWolf
Watch the fucking movie
Exactly.. WTH Cinema Sins
Exactly. If they were cleaning up the place, it would be a pain in the ass to lock and unlock the door while doing so.
I really wish Hollywood would look into how sprinkler systems actually work.
I think the same thing every time I see a movie, or even a show, where a sprinkler system is set-off. That deserves a sin all of its own. You don't start a fire under one sprinkler and then have the whole system go off. There'd not be enough water pressure in the system for that to work first of all. Further it'd cause a lot more damage than it'd be worth. The point of the sprinkler system is to CONTAIN damage. To stop the fire where it's at before it spreads. But if you're going to put out the fire AND flood the building giving everything water damage, what's the point?!
Brian Straight
Also, until the system is flushed, that water is going to be really nasty & skanky, not crystal clear like is always shown.
Brian Straight Never knew this (O_o) thanks for the info.
hollywood has no idea about most things in a building. any movie that involves duct work, sprinkler systems, or plumbing is going to get it wrong.
Um, they know how sprinklers work
hell they use sprinkler systems to get all their 'it's raining on queue' effects
They just use more of them
Great movie ! Awesome actor , never seen any bad movie starring this man ...go Denzal Washington
how can you not sin english tattoos on a russian assassin? too obvious?
DKhisa ok i shut up, sorry
+DKhisa No need to be rude, man
+lokdabest They were too busy staring at his nipples to even notice.
How many Americans have tats of other cultures/languages while being the most xenophobic person you've ever met? Yep, lots. A Russ having Eng tats isn't too much to smile.
According to wiki his kiwi mother is part Danish/English/Irish and his father is of Hungarian descent. Marton is born in New Zealand.
At 3:40 obviously he said closed because the friggin kitchen burned down it has nothing to do with the time of day.... You guys just gives sins to everything without thinking
You mad bro😎😎😎
That's the point
Yeah, that one seemed unnecessary. There's leeway with the channel when it comes to them sinning things that aren't sins but that one was petty. The place was obviously closed due to, you know, THE FIRE! Hard to serve customers when your kitchen is out of order and the dining room is covered in water.
***** Why are you still here then
LorieLynn You don't lock your doors to clean up after a fire.
I've cleaned up after a fire before. If you're not constantly moving stuff that's inside to the outside (charred detritus, various burnt items), then you're not actually cleaning anything because a kitchen fire makes a lot of waste you need to rip out and throw away. It makes perfect logical sense why the doors would've been unlocked and the sin pointless. It's stated in the movie they can't serve food and are cleaning up after the fire, and our super brought the large, outdoor trash bin to the front of our shop and helped us carry out burnt pieces of wall, appliances, etc..
Any else here who watches these videos yet haven't seen the movie they're finding everything wrong with?
sometimes, mostly when they are from genre I don't check
About half the time, yeah.
Most of the time, seeing as I live under a rock and have seen barely any movies, or at least I have, but not half as many as everyone else.
Most the time, but just because i don't keep up with movies, these give a really good preview and i often watch a movie after seeing it on here
No
Sin or not, but that scene you with Denzel killing Teddy with nailgun with that music in background was amazing to watch in cinema.
Really? No sin for that small waterfall of spit being sucked back into that guy's mouth? 7:39
+1
*ding*
AHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH
Actually it's the greatest 'sin-eraser' moment ever...
Wraith -> Eleven gifted him with the temporary ability to control matter and liquids, so he could suck it all back in so easily.
I don't care about any of those sins, this movie was fucking awesome, especially that badass scene at the end with the badass fucking music in the backround.
Awesome fucking movie.
Where in this video did Jeremy state any sort of opinion - positive or negative - on the overall quality of the movie?
Kuypers125 nowhere. I know that.
I only said that I really really liked The Equalizer. Nothing about Jeremy, at all.
Some people are easily impressed by slow motion "look how cool i am" shots
Say "fucking" again. Please, sir. ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)

Noo dont touch Rush Hour i loved that movie lol
4:06 _"don't call him Penis Face...he fuckin hates that shit."_
I almost spit my coffee out laughing :D
I wish the fight between the bad guy and denzel would have been longer.
7:00 Used the wrong your. That's a sin.
Question: how do you not take off at least a sin for the badassness that is the barbwire hangman action?!
Opportunity missed good sir...
This my comfort movie. I could watch the Equalizer on repeat without getting tired.
11:20 that's the same bearded guy who also plays a henchman in John Wick
I know right!! He is immortal
Generic Russian henchman is generic :-)
I loved this movie. I have several Table-Top Role-Play characters that are this character rolled into one so it was very gratifying to see this movie. It was like a throw-back to 80's action flicks without a fair deal of the ham. It's a feel-good movie and that's what's important.
everything wrong with everything in 42 minutes...
get it? XD

Best book of all time
Actually there was a meaning behind him being obsessed with clocks, Denzel's character Robert MaCall had obsessive compulsive disorder, that was one of the reasons why he was always checking his watch
5:29 I actually did experience a daylight robbery while working at Home Depot years ago. It wasn't an armed robbery, but it was pretty intense nonetheless. A bunch of guys in disguises drove a big moving truck through the back gate of the garden center, dropped the ramp, used bull-cutters to unhook what they needed, and made off with maybe four or five riding lawnmowers and some grills. They were in and out in seconds -- a class A operation compared to our usual shoplifters -- and was probably one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my life. I don't really know what came of it after, unfortunately, or if the law managed to catch up to them, but hey, sometimes crazy happens when working retail, even in the middle of peak hours.
Only problem I had with this video and ive watched alot of your videos is the one about the Dinner being closed. You see it was closed because there was a FIRE.
I actually really enjoyed this movie despite the things wrong with it, and watching those home mart stealth scenes from the generic bad guys perspective would be an awesome movie in itself
Classic CinemaSins. Missed Densel's previous career as a pip. I love this movie!
2:21 officially the best line delivery CinemaSins has EVER done.
Coffee for $1.50 is not out of place... at all. It's about that much at the Dunkin Doughnuts that's nearby, and I was recently given a gift card for Starbucks and their regular coffee (besides being shitty), is also about that much. At Einstein's it's around $2, which is really odd, since the other two places are right next to them...
This is a diner, it's not over a dollar.
Cyborg J
This is a diner, it can be (and has been) over a dollar.
I've never seen a diner with a cup of coffee over a dollar. Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and Einsteins are not diners.
Cyborg J
I have. I also know those other places are not diners. That's not relevant.
Well, in my area the prices of the eggs and the hash should be reversed.
In the movie, the murder of 5 Russian mafia men is seen on the TV screen. Next scene the Russian enforcer is standing in the crime scene trying to understand who killed the men. There's nothing cordoned off, no CSI or any police around. What would Gary Sinise do about that?
gotta love the watertown craigslist ad at the end ;) loved seeing my city repped at the end lol
sir. everything wrong with series is my favorite thing on youtube so far. im gun have 2 wimp out and pick up in the sunshine. brilliant stuff
We need a film with Liam Neeson and Denzel Washington in it. That would be pretty cool.
be careful with old stars match up, sometime it's not as good as you expect and they can go really lazy
I know I've seen the expendables 3. Really the film would work with the right director.
AeroRomeo The only good one I remember is killing season with travolta and de niro . It's not anything groundbreaking but they actually act instead of simply going look I'm that actor, and that's how you remember why they gain fame because they can play their role well. So yeah it can be done.
Can’t wait for you to do equalizer 3
The funniest sin about this movie is that Denzel goes from preaching that you "gotta be who you are" to "you can be anything you want" in about 10 minutes...
😁😁😁😁
My father ADORES this movie, which is funny since he's not a fan of most modern Action flicks. But this one... Is so awesome for him.
6:23 "Oh, hello there, Vaio!" we interrupt "Cinema Sins" to bring you "The Room"
Shoulda called this dude, "The Carpender" all he uses are tools to kill, he was badass.
Batman & Taken dub overs at the end were awesome!
Duuuuuude!!!! That Liam Neeson part fit soooo perfectly,so epic!! BTW I've ben watching all your videos since like Thursday, you are like my 2nd fave CZcamsr EVER you're insiane with these videos!! I can't stop watching!!
I don't care what you say about this movie. I walked out of the theater satisfied. One thing I liked was that he never used a single gun (the nail gun at the end doesn't count). I kept my eyes open for when he was going to, but he never did. Awesome!
he shoots the first main bad guy actually with a silenced pistol, sorry to say.
+Chris Garcia you're wrong. He killed the russian pimps using krav maga techniques
knightmire re watch the movie, he does shoot someone with a silenced pistol in the neck then talks to him as he bleeds to death
Up next: Everything wrong with John Wick and or A Walk Among the Tombstones
How was Walk Among The Tombstones?
xKingx16 Better than I expected. Film takes place in 1999 and it's a thriller than just straight up action. Check it out.
Surprised me too
Arnold Rivas Will do & Appreciate it.
xKingx16 You're welcome.
12:29 the microwave would work like that if the power was shut off.
Also in the commentary The director said Denzel’s character had skills in electronics.
12:25 - I'm pretty sure that's Sala Baker (who played Sauron under the suit in LOTR). Met him and got his autograph at London ComiCon back in around '01 / '02.
5:32 Who robs a home mart at all?
Someone who cannot afford to pay for the supplies they're going to need to go rob somewhere else
Random note but I'm pretty sure the skull key chain is actually from a bottle of Blair's hot sauce because I have the same one.
yay....
Robertknows the security room referring to blood on hammer....and his op/military background is what got him the retake on test..that's the corny shut that made the movie so good...you did open my eyes to a few! Things though..thanks brother...
what also make it interesting at the end when they start to roll credits if you could know exactly what the painting is that this ending scene is derived from Jerry Joyce can also do CinemaSins. once in for saying Jerry Joyce can also do CinemaSins
"Home Depot Alone"😂 meets Paul Blart.
yeah some of these are just looked at on the surface and move to fast one to the next so people don't get a chance to think and process.
example: Quote Somehow,Alina's pimp knew that she'd be out walking to this gas station tonight ?
Maybe they were driving around for 3 hours looking for her or the fact they more than likely know she goes to that cafe how does anybody know how far this servo is from that cafe or that it could be the direction of her home ?
Quote: And this is definitely not a routine, because we saw her catching a cab from the diner the first time we saw her ?
ok firstly how can you assume someone's routine if you only seen them do it once ? plus we see her at cafe several times yet only exit in a cab one of those time another in a limo ect ect
also that cab was driving by when she hailed it i doubt that taxi would be going pass at the precise time every night just as she exit's the cafe walking is more than likely her routine form the cafe .
Quote: closed? what the loving fuck ? First off,Robert opened the door freely.
Second off it's broad daylight outside
third, the hours posted clearly state that your closed at 9pm, not when wheel of fortune is on .?
they are closed due to a fire would you walk in a order food with bits of the burnt roof falling onto your meal
and it is broad daylight nice analyses.
thank you for not understanding sarcasm or jokes
A friend of mine works for a fire sprinkler company and he informed me that when a fire triggers the sprinkler system it doesn't set them all off just the one over the fire.
Sorry Cinema Sins, you got it wrong. The price for Corn Beef Hash in the dinner isn’t $2.50 for the meal, it’s $2.50 for a side of Corn Beef Hash.
Denzel is the black John Wick when it comes to murdering people. That actaully would be a cool crossover to be perfectly honest.
I actually thought of that...
I'm still waiting for Chloe's breakthrough role. I am confidant it will come.
And here I thought that was either Kickass or her Lead Role in the latest Carrie-remake
"confident"*
"confidant" is "a close friend or associate to whom secrets are confided or with whom private matters and problems are discussed". One letter, eh? ;)
Nah, she was good in Kickass, Carrie was... I don't like the story. I just can't get through it with all the abuse the lead is getting throughout, you know? I know it's supposed to bring those feelings out, but it's just... It pisses me off. :P
I too think she's still waiting for the big role that will actually make her an actress worth of the name, and not just "popular young face" actress. Or maybe it'll never come, who knows.
Also, she played Emily in Dishonored, and I liked Emily.
That breakthrough role was in Kickass, thats all anyone will probably know her for
Tomasz Wota Right, thanks for the confident check. Right back at ya, though: "one", not "once" ;) Yeah, Emily was cool in Dishonored, and while she was good in Kickass, I didn't like the movie. I honestly think she'd be perfect as Ellie in The Last of Us movie.
"...or a horse"
reall fucking funny
now just confidently throw that in a conversation.. hell thatll even be FUNNIER!!
Thank you for not having ads
Okay, McCall vision isn't like the Holmes/Premium Rush/Bene Gessurite Gestalt thing, but Triggering. He has to psyche himself up the first couple times, which is why he focussed on the Tattoos, Jewelry (Ill gotten wealth) and skull symbolism. Also, when he opened, and closed the doors (Once, then 3 more times) that was an OCD tell. Him trying to maintain control, and discipline, before going "F*uck it," and turning around... Notice he didn't need to do that any more once he let the dogs out. But that's pretty cerebral for the average moviegoer. They weren't explicit about it, so it read more like Sherlock Holmes.
No discount Kevin Spacey joke?
You know which Denzel movie needs your Cinemasins touch? DEJA VU!
I don't know what's more frustrating, the fact that the guy told him not to "call him little John" or the fact that nobody actually called him little John.
"Bad guy adds a clause to the agreement after the handshake" cliché? I've literally never seen that before.
Also, my only problem with this movie is that the first action scene where he kills those five guys is cooler than all of the other action scenes in the rest of the movie.
voxl Valyx
If batman was black I would want Denzel Washington to play the role. Sidenote (Can anybody imagine if Samuel L. Jackson played batman)
Mr.Captain Crunch "I'm tired of these motherfucking bats in this motherfucking cave!"
***** I did. I think that was a black Tony Stark.
howaboutthatsuckah LOL
+Mr.Captain Crunch I just posted a similar thing before reading this! Let's do this! Let's make Denzel Batman and Sam Jackson the Joker. It will set records as the worse Batman movie ever! {ಠ_ಠ}
Aki U I dunno. Those are good actors.
Jeremy Scott and Chris Atkinson......two of You Tube's stars. Brilliant narration; nothing else like it on YT...........when you gonna do Everything Wrong With Bambi?!
12:47 that's right, Denzel Washington can shoot a nailgun around corners
Bad guy is Eastern European cliche? Anyone?
or that the russian/ukrainian mafia is huge, its like saying "police chase suspect running away cliche"
This was a bad ass movie, the Jason/Michael Myers reference at the climax is not a bad ideal. I mean, we haven't really seen a African American horror killer have we? That's racist.
candyman
Keenan Cole Thanks you are right. That was a little gem. Tony Todd did good work. Wish for more diversity in the genre.
The comparison of Denzel's character in this to him being a horror movie slasher completely changed my perspective on this movie. When I first saw I left the theaters and thought, meh.... it was fine but I rather dislike anything where the protagonist is utterly unstoppable and no one really gives him any struggle, such as the equalizer, I mean it makes for a fun film but it takes away all suspense and I just watch it bored cause I knew every time he was in a scene he will be on top every time . But thinking of him as a slasher, albeit from the moral high ground, makes this a lot better. Thinking of him as more of a Jason Vorhees than the hero makes me enjoy that much more.
I really hope that made sense, I'm not exactly sober and worried I just typed a fucking mess everywhere.
Andrew Glenn Made sense to me and I do not drink. I get it though. Steven Seagal movies were always like that. I could not stand them mostly. Sequal might give him more a challenge(or we continue to see him as a slasher).
Gary L. Street
Good to hear it made sense. I agree on the Steven Seagal movie. I don't know it just super takes me out of the film. On the upside it does help you sympathize with the villain more, as they become the underdog which gives a different experience too.
This made me want to rewatch the 80s TV show with Edward Woodward. I loved that show back in the day. I wonder how it holds up.
12:57 Damn that's funny.
13:52 Damn, they dragged Hopper's "Nighthawks" into this, didn't they?
There are usually more insightful commentary on movie flaws. "Movie obsessed with clocks?" Stuff like this felt really reaching, even for a B level action movie like this one.
You haven't been on this channel long, have you?
how does "not containing lapdance" is insightful?
Still a badass movie
I could keep watching the montages at the end all day, hue
*Excellent* video! Man - other then the boring first 20 minutes I liked this movie, but your video makes you look at it from a whole different perspective. You must be a pain to watch movies with :-)
I did love this movie! Denzel Washington is a great actor
He wasn't wiping off blood on the hammer. It was finger prints.
Walking calmly away from explosion-based fireballs.
The ultimate in movie timing, followed closely by being able to dodge bullets uncovered.
This is one of my favorite movies, I was that there would be negative sins.
"Home depot alone" Ha!
Barbed wire is neither as flexible nor as smooth as rope. The barbs would make the noose-trap impossible.
“Okay, first of all, Ralphie is a dumbass.”
LMAOOO 💀💀
Hey. Thought you had some great points. However, I found some sins in your knit-picking.
1. He wasn't wiping blood off the hammer. He was wiping his finger-prints off of it.
2. The Mexican restaurant was closed during the day because of the fire the night before. Also, Denzel's character is ex-CIA...ofcourse he can open any door lol
boston sand and gravel is where ben affleck works in "the town" .
It put an unbelievably huge smile on my face when he hung Dan Bilzarian with barbed wire.
I had no idea that was really him lol. this was already one of my favorite movies, now it's sure to stay that way.
I didn't realize that till little bit ago. With everything that has had happen with him trying to be a "super hero" and asking a cop for his gun during an active shooter situation... The scene is more badass now.
Which was an uncounted sin of its own. How do you drop a barbed wire noose over someone's head and winch them up into the air? It won't fit through a pully or slide over a beam...IT'S BARBED!
@@chaburchak lmao so true
A lariat, and friction pulley with Barbed Wire actually works! Ding!
"...or a horse." Fracking priceless!!!!!
